Shakedown Cruise in our new camper!
Site 2004 in a KZ Escape
The hybrid fits a tent site easily and set up was perfect. We see now why golf carts are so popular...this place is huge! I can see a no parks camping trip in our future for sure, especially since we only live 74 miles away.

Great!

I'll settle in with some popcorn and follow along.

Have a blast. The golf carts are a fun part of the whole experience. Just kick back and relax.

Welcome Home!

Glad you like the tent sites. Most hybrids and pop-ups work quite well there. And yes, the Fort is enormous. We try to convey that, but I don't think many first timers believe us.

Enjoy your stay and post as you can.

Enjoy. We stayed in the 2000 a few times then switched to the full hook up sites and love it. Maybe I will see you around, we're here till the 10th.

Have fun! We will be back soon!!! The place is HUGE we get the cart. Last year I woke up early and didn't want to wake the rest of the family at 4:30 am. That said I went for a ride on the cart and saw tons of deer turkeys a possum and two armadillos not a soul up and about either it was awesome.

Enjoy your stay. I'd love to be able to do a "No Parks" trip, but for us, it's a bit further away (about 1100 miles) so the DW figures if we are going to travel that far we are going to do parks.

It's a chilly morning so I'm sitting wrapped up in a blanket drinking my coffee and enjoying the sounds of nature. I've made a few pictures, but will have to share when we get home later today.

We've actually visited all 4 parks, ridden a few things, and just enjoyed not feeling stressed about making sure we do everything. I almost feel guilty that we live close and are able to do it like this....it's a dream come true.

That would be cool, but we're heading home in a little while. This was just a quick run to try out the camper and relax before hubby starts back to back road trips for work. I'll definitely make sure we have a disboards site marker for our next trip and watch for fellow members.

We are coming in June...looking at the 2000 loop for us...can you post some pics?

I am at the Fort now and can post some pics for you. I have some of the 2000 loop on my other computer, but it is back in VT. I will have them up later today.

I'm here too in 547! Love it so much. Sad our stay is over in a couple days. And it's a 3700 mile trip so it takes some saving and praying. Enjoy!

I wish I had made more pictures of the loop, but I only have a few of our camper on the site. I can tell you that site 2004 is really good though. I close to the entrance, there's a path beside it to the comfort station and bus stop (purple), and it's a quick walk to catch the orange bus if you want. We also found a quick cut-through to get to the Meadow Trading Post, pool, etc. It's .61 miles or 1408 steps....if you're counting! :)

Great pics. Your hybrid reminds me of my first trailer.

Glad you are enjoying your inaugural trip.
