We're having a girl! HELP with name

My mom's name was Michelina (pronounced:Mic a lena).

We named our dd12 Kassie Jaye. For us, it was what the name meant, "clever bird".

CONGRADULATIONS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY! And please let us know what you decide!! :dance3:

I love the name Mallory Paige. I have two boys so I never got to use it. My name is Jill and I have never met another one. I always thought it would be more common than it is.

I like the names:

Isabella
Chiara (pronounced Kee-ah-raa)
Grace

All from the time I lived in Italy, loved living in Italy.

Good luck with your pregnancy and she will be beautiful what ever name you finally decide on. My name is Judith (nn Judi) I don't meet very many. Also as I child I always wanted Toni for a girl, I though it was neat to have boys name with a girls spelling. Could be short for Anotonia I guess.

I always liked Josie but DH did not. A good friend suggested Hollynn when we were having second DD (pronounced like Holland without the "d" not Hollie - Linn). Usually I'm not a fan of "made-up" names, but I've always liked this one.

Congratulations!

I have one DD, Erin Kathleen.

If DS#1 was a girl, he was going to be Kate. I wanted Kathleen and DH wanted Catherine, so we compromised and agreed on Kate, but then the baby was a boy, so it didn't matter.

If DS#2 was a girl, he was going to be Hallie (middle name was going to be either Elizabeth, Marie, or Grace).

Other names that I liked but DH did not: Keira and Elise.

Good luck! :goodvibes

Alright here are a few that I like:

Jayla - this my DD's name :)
Briar - think Briar Rose from Sleeping Beauty, all the DISers have to appreciate this one
Isla
Indigo -nickname Indie
Samantha

Congrats on the upcoming addition! Another princess to love and spoil.

I have an Indigo/Indy. She loves her name and it suits her well. We have never met another.

My friend's DD is Briar May.

Here are a few that I like. I have a Hannah, which I liked before it became so popular, and then 3 boys, so i never got to use any of these names.

I like:

Maeve
Marin
Delaney
Audrey
Jillian

Good luck!!

I had a former boss who all her girls had alphabetical names and end in a -y- sound
She had:
Bethany, Cassidy, Delaney, Emily, and Finley

(I think they're all cute!)

We just had our first daughter (2 boys before) and we named her Corinne. We also liked Lorelai, Josephine and Clara...Good luck!

You are going to get tons of responses . . .

My grandaughter's name is Trinity. I thought I'd suggest since this will be your third . . .

good luck w/ everything!!!

Oh, and I also like Kelsi, Kendall, Kenzi.

A good friend of mine named her daughter Elaine and calls her Lainey - I always loved "Lainey" - such a wonderful name!

My DD4 is Lainey Marie after my great-grandmother. (I have to go buy the American Girl doll Lanie for her)
My DD1 is Ashley May
My DD due in June will be Kelly Ann

Congrats OP! I skipped the baby books and played around on Social Securities website. It's interesting to see popular names from years ago, that you have never heard of.

LOVE the name Lily! Was going to be 2nd DD middle name but when we switched to Zoe ~ Zoe Lily sounded funny.

By 2005 Lily was uber popular ~ otherwise DD1 would have been Lily Grace.

My Lily is Lily Grace. ;) I love her name! She was born in 2000 -- at that time I thought I was being so original!!!

I wanted to add, OP, that you could name your new DD after me if you like  -- I have always loved my name. There are a few Shannons out there that are around my age (almost 40), but I hardly ever see any little Shannons. It's Shannon Marie in case you are looking for a middle name, too! :thumbsup2

How about Kamryn? I always pictured a nice sweet girl in pink dresses named Kamryn. I've got a tomboy named Kamryn! :rotfl: (I'll still keep her!)

We recently found out that we maybe having a little girl (They don't confirm 100% over here as people can get it wrong). All I had really thought about was boy names. We have a little list of girl's names we like (little because we have difficulty agreeing!!) and shared them with our families. But I think when we pick I want to keep it to ourselves. Other people's opinions are nice but can be unwanted.

I like traditional names, particularly Irish origin names. Some are common but a lot are very unique and can be rather pretty!

Congrats!

I guess I'am very traditional and did not want a name for my DD that would be weird if she was a CEO of a company or just somebodys boss....I also didn't want to get bored with the name...So I named her after her grandmothers.....My Mother was Patricia...so my DAughter is just Tricia. I'am so glad that I chose thatname it suits her to a T. ;). Try and pick a family name and that mymake itdifferent and special. Such as grandmothers maided name etc...
My mother passed away when my DD was 6 months old so it is all the more special to me.

I like the names:

Maybe it's because I live in a very Italian area, but there are at least 3 Isabellas in every grade, not to mention Olivias and Avas.

I think Shannon Marie is a beautiful name! I think it's a shame that some of the most lovely names are becoming less and less common. I'm not a fan of the new-fangled-type names. It seems like they are getting stranger and stranger where I live!
