We're Happier than a Tornado in a Trailer Park/UPDATE--Makin a list, checkin it twice

Hey, just checking in to see how the planning is going. We are also going to Chef Mickeys on the 28th but our ADR is later. We are eating at 1900 Park Fare before the MNSSHP that night. A few days ago Disneyshopping.com had graphic tees on sale for $5.00 and so I bought a few more. I hope they have a few more sales like that before we leave. I love that it takes only 2 days for standard shipping to get to my house. I am waiting for Walmart to get their Halloween decorations put out so I can start buying decorations for my window at POP.

Oh and Happy Birthday!! Mine was last week. I hope you have a very good birthday and Labor Day weekend.

How fun! PADISFAM, you and I will all be at MNSSHP that night! Make sure you wear your LGMH! I'll be making my tag tonight. I'll post pics soon. Have lots and lots of news/pics, but sometimes Photobucket just won'r cooperate!

We did change our CM ressie to Boma. We decided to go to AK the morning of the party instead so we would not have MK overload that day. :rotfl:

So. . .I stated before that packing would start early. I have already started. I started with the child with the most clothes--Boo.

As you can see, her shirts are separated by day, her jean shorts are packed (but not her capris or blue jeans, as we still need them for school), her Tigger fannypack is ready. There are a couple of stuffed animals there as well. I will work on another child probably tomorrow after I finish laundry. It is time for me to put away summer clothes, but the best thing for me to do with the kids' summer clothes is put them in their now individual Disney Boxes.

Also, I got some Disney stickers last week and commenced on Monday in working on the DIsney binder.

Here are the materials:

Today, I worked on making lanyard tags. Mine aren't as creative as legomom's, because I printed them up on the computer.

All the tags together (the kids' names that are going inside their fanny packs are marked out)

My Lanyard by itself and the tag (sorry it is blurry)

I love the Lanyard tags idea. I haven't done any of those and am not sure the boys are going to wear theirs. I should have gotten some of those secure backs for their pins as they are now afraid of losing backs. Hmmm... not sure what to do about that now.

Loving your on again, off again dining arrangements,
I love a woman who keeps second guessing herself (because that is what I do). Your revised dining sounds wonderful, and now that it is paid for, I am sure you will stick with it!:lmao:

Talk DH into the matching shirts. I am all about the matching shirts, myself. We had five sets this year for our hotter than hot August trip. We got so many nice comments and it was so easy to keep track of each other. We had the Grumpy ones and the rule was "no one is allowed to be Grumpy, only to wear him" which sort of worked out, I have three kids too!

Have a fabulous time!!

Hey everyone. Creativeamanda I love how you do things. The binder and your lanyard tags are really cute. :goodvibes

This is really neat!! You're very creative. I mean, I scrapbook and all, but I never thought of getting creative with my PRE- trip info!

They are too so! Those are GREAT! Plus, you have way more of them than I do...

So, when's the next installment?.....huh?...huh!? :rolleyes1

DH loves his three Grumpy t-shirts. He is willing to wear the shirts, as he took a look at them IRL and proclaimed them "not that bad". Doubt he will wear them again after that trip, but that's Okay.

Thanks, Smileybug. :goodvibes

Thanks, Legomom.

But man, you are being soooooo bossy (hmm. . .you remind me of someone. Who--I don't know :rolleyes1 )

Another installment is coming up . . .

Well, since Legomom is bugging me (I mean, asking me) to update, here we go. At 50 days, I thought it would be a good time to have a countdown calendar. So, I took some red and lime green paper, punched out 50 (yes--50) LGMH, and taped them to red paper. I numbered 1-50 and write the days. (In case we forget :rolleyes1 )

The chart is on the refrigerator. And just in case you are wondering, we now have 48 days until our trip. :yay:

I know, we are all excited! Less than 7 weeks! And ack! I'm behind on what I said I'd have done by now, but it's okay. I think I've allowed myself plenty of time to catch up. :rotfl:

As for the punches--I got this punch I think from Michael's--see this picture:

20080825001.jpg

Up there in the top, right side, there is a red and black punch? It makes Mickeys! :)

I think it was around $15, but I can't keep up with how much I spend on scrapbooking materials. :rolleyes1

You know, I have been working (what I think) is a great spreadsheet. Would you like to see?!?

How old are your kids?

I FINALLY made it back here.......::yes:: I would love to see your spread sheet, all boys for me they are 11, 6 & 3 but (*sniff* will be 4 in 2 weeks....)

I'll pm you my email

thanks!:goodvibes

ohh, that is very cool! (I am SOOO not creative & have never even stepped foot into Michael's..........but this might be an exception! ;)

I sent it to you. :goodvibes

I absolutely could not do without my boy. Boys just love their mamas differently than girls. For my girls, it's daddy this and daddy that. :rotfl:

I love Michael's and Hobby Lobby, and going to visit my Creative Memories consultant.

Michaels has a lot of good crafts to do with kids.

I love the mickey punch. I'm gonna have to go and look for one.

I like your itenerary thing too... did you add the color sections yourself or does the spreadsheet do it automatically? I tried to do one myself... not sure what happened but I think I erased it.

Thanks. I'm particularly fond of it myself.

I added the colored sections myself. That itinerary took me FOREVER to make. But I'd be happy to send you a copy if you just PM me. Of course, that will be without the color coding in the top section--that's Tour Guide Mike codes and I don't wanna get in trouble for sharing info. . .

Ohhhh I don't want any trouble round this here trip report partner....... (would insert a really cute little cowboy smiley if I had one.)

So, for those of you who don’t know, this past week, we hit our 45-day mark. On the morning before, I said to dh, “This is the last morning we can get all of our money back from Disney.” He did not say anything, which actually had me a teensy bit worried. Instead of answering, though, the kids had this for breakfast that morning:

boospancake.jpg

Pretty good answer, huh?

Also, I’ve done some shopping this week. And bought a few uhm, samples. Since then, I’ve picked up a couple more, but this is what I got so far:

samples.jpg

The itinerary has been updated, thanks to a tip from Tour Guide Mike’s helpful people. I’ve been worried about losing my MNSSHP tickets. Someone suggested putting them in a pencil case. I found one at work.

Now, to my touring cards. I worked real hard getting this format down. I think they look pretty good. I used Excel to make them, which I like better than Word because I can move pictures around all over the page. Here’s a snapshot of my laminated cards altogether. . .
touringcards.jpg

After I laminated the cards, I realized I left out one day. :headache: I’ll be fixing that ASAP. But not today. I’ve been fighting a wicked cold and I need rest!
Here is one card—the one with the different shows we want to make it to and their typical times.
showtimes.jpg

This is the flip book I’ve put the cards into. It’s a Creative Memories one they send to consultants in the consultant kit. I’m going to decorate it with stickers.
ItineraryHolder.jpg

And our itinerary for October 28 in the book. . .
touringbook.jpg

I also bought the kids’ costumes yesterday. I need to take pictures, but honestly, I have not gotten all of the stuff out of the trunk of the car.
I’ll also be posting our t-shirts and my progress in packing (which isn’t as much progress as I thought).

We have less than 6 weeks left, and if I don’t count today (which I shouldn’t, seeing as how it’s half finished), 39 days. :cool1:

Also, in the past couple of weeks, the beloved Tag Fairy has been gracious enough to bless me with some tags. I absolutely love them, so TF, if you have been reading my PTR at all, a big Thanks to you!:goodvibes
