We're Going To The Gc!

I guess the title says it all, we get to stay at the Grand Californian! We have reserved a pool/theme park view requesting a grizzly river run view! I am so excited So tell me what you know. Any little secrets, tips, advice etc??
I would love to see any photos! TELL ME WHAT YOU KNOW!!! Thanks so much, any informtion is appreciated.
Oh, we will be visiting 2/22-2/26.

I don't remember many details from our stay in 2002. My parents were in charge in those days and I just went for the fun! We definitely had a wonderful visit. The hotel is beautiful and the proximity to the parks is unbeatable. I hope your trip is spectacular!

You will love it! My only tip is that there is one of the stairway exits that drops you out right by La Brea..to exit not enter..but I get so turned around in there it is hard to know which exit to take..fun to explore though!
Try Whitewater Snacks for nice meals and reasonable prices.

Have a drink at the Hearthstone Lounge, preferrably in the evening. It's wonderful!!! I missed this tip the first couple of times but make a point of doing it now. They bring you some little munchie things (like party mix) with your drink and the atmosphere is great.

Second the tip on Whitewater Snacks. We didn't eat in any of the other GCH places because of $$$$, but WWS is very reasonable.

If you happen to get a room that is far from the elevators, take the stairs down. It will save you a lot of walking.

La Brea is an excellent place to have breakfast or lunch. We like the sit-down part.

The 'have a Grand' cracks me up..when I made my last reservation they said a sentence with 'have a Grand..." in it..and I cringed. When I worked at the MGM Grand in Vegas we had to say that all the time "Have a Grand day.." FLASHBACK!
