"We're going to Disney!" -favorite trip announcement ideas

Our trip will be planned around their dream coming true, wishing on a star and the Blue Fairy giving them their chance. The exact mechanics of the reveal are a work in progress - like everything else in my planning!

I am planning on making an advent calendar for December 2017 using the Disney Mini Lego Figures in little red solo cups. Each cup will have one (or two) of the figures with the 25th being Micky and Minnie, of course. I will likely have a Disney Gift with an autograph book, sharpie, a t-shirt, etc.
Advent calendars are so much fun. I wish there were more Mickey lego. A series based on Disney attractions would be epic.

Have you seen the Lego Minifigure Blind Bags? My kids have been collecting them:

Also, I must say that you gals are amazing with your ideas! When my kids were younger, we did the countdown calendar and that was pretty much it. We surprised the kids one time by collecting them around the table and asking them, "If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?" Knowing that they'd say Disney World, (they did, of course), my husband immediately looked at each other and laughed, saying "OK! LET'S GO!" They were awestruck.

It's fun. We're considering a surprise Christmas trip this year, either having Santa visit us early or leaving Christmas morning. Trying to figure out the logistics of it for now.

I know that is what my girls would say, even now. My half-developed plan relies on it. You have to think like a lawyer and plan accordingly. Watch a Disney movie, then some Disney youtube videos (nothing unusual for us), maybe a planning DVD, talk about how much fun the parks are, then tell DD she can make a special wish on the Evening Star that night... :stir:

The next morning, the Blue Fairy has been by and left an invitation from Mickey and friends... Can't have been us parents, how would we know what you would wish for? pixiedust:

I have seen the blind bags. What I was envisaging was a LEGO model of the Magic Kingdom - well, maybe Fantasyland, anyway. There are already components - Cinderella's Castle, POTC sets, etc.
