We're going in November

Hello all,

We're going in November, right during the Jersey week time-frame. I've read alot of the posts, but I think we'll keep our reservations. Its been very hard to decide, since the posts seem to be 50-50 in favor of going during that time.

Unless someone can talk me out of it, I believe we'll go then.

I have never been during that time, but I think it is great that you are going! Always nice to have a Disney trip to look forward to!

But what is this Jersey week? This is a new one on me. We don't have a choice as to when we can go. It's the only time DH can get away from the cows!

The Epcot Food and Wine Fest is in full swing.....

i am goihg to wdw on 2 nov, just in time for this jersey week thing, from looking it up in a search engine it seems to be about cross country racing for children.
so will it affect the crowds at all?
a dreadful thought has just come over me, there aren t any school holidays in america from the 2 - 18 of november are there?

We will be there the 10th thru the 21st!! Maybe we will see each other!

Look for a big red dodge dually with a big truck camper on it that has licence plates on it that say IT PURRS from Montana!

I've never been to the food & wine fest & I'm really looking forward to that...especially now since I had heard it's in October this year on a another thread. I had thought it was always in November.

Nope...no school holidays until Thanksgiving & this year that falls on November 27th. The time frame we will be there is reportedly one of the slowest times of the year! I am so looking forward to this trip!!!

I don't know about the other school districts in FL but here in Gainesville we have off Nov. 7 (University of FL homecoming), Nov. 10 and 11 (Veteran's day) - I've been thinking about another trip myself during that time

We were at WDW for part of Jersey Week in 2000 and we're going back during Jersey Week this year. In 2000 it was a little more crowded than before the start of JW, but it wasn't terible. And like others have said, the weather is great!

its so nice to talk to you all, im so excited about my holiday i ve never been to the usa before.

i am curious to know exactly what jersey week is, if its about running then how does it affect the crowds at the disney parks?

i read in a guide book that crowds in november are not too bad,
it said that the magic kingdom has about 25,000 visitors day. that sounds a lot but i also read that the mk is 60 times bigger than our biggest theme park, alton towers. so how long do you think we can expect to queue for the more popular attractions.

we are going to be staying at the villas of sommerset in kissimee (i think). does anyone know what they are like?

We will be there 10/30-11/7. This is our first time going in the fall. We usually go in the late winter through late springtime. We will be hitting up our first MNSSHP. We sometimes go around Easter, so I figure Jersey Week shouldn't be that bad.

Jersey Week is when most New Jersey schools are closed due to teachers' convention. Our district skips Columbus Day & one or two other Holidays to give the kids the entire week off.
Since we don't have to worry about taking the kids out of school, and the weather in Florida is great then, alot of us Jerseyeans take the opportunity to head to WDW.
The crowds aren't bad, and as some others have said, the Food & Wine Festival is going on, which is a bonus.
Don't be concerned about the crowds, you'll have a great time. We'll see you there from 11/02-11/07!

We were there last year during Jersey Week and found the crowds to be very manageable. We'll be there again this year from Oct. 31 to Nov. 9, so maybe we'll run into you.
LIke others have said, November's a great time to go, beautiful weather, crowds not too bad AND the Wine and Food Fest!

Jersey Week is from Nov 5,6,7,8,9,10 and 11th. Some families will choose to go the first week of Nov and others will choose the second week. Jersey week isn't that crowded, however I think it will be more crowded this year with the FTP. The weather is great this time of year not to hot, but still warm enough to go swimming. We chose to go even though we homeschool our DS's and could choose to go anytime. We've also been in the spring (not near Easter or spring break) and we found the crowds much heavier than in Nov. I think you'll be happy with you choice.

We will be at the BC conceirge from Nov 9th to the 16th.
