Great news! Thanks to the 4/3 deal, I talked DH into a long awaited trip May 24-31. We're staying at the Polynesian (I booked a Garden View and requested Tokeleau) and doing the deluxe dining this time. I usually go in the off season, but decided that staying at the Poly would be a different kind of trip altogether. We've not been since Sept of 2006- I had DD in May of 2008, so this will be her first trip- she'll be a year old.

Here is my plan so far- waiting for park hours to finalize it, but if you have any pointers (I've never been in May, and I've never brought a 1 year old) please feel free to chime in. DD is one of those great babies (DS was much harder to predict) who is happy in any public setting, she naps well at any time or place, and LOVES to eat. She does better than my 9 year old at most restaurants. We will be skipping DHS this year, as there really isn't a whole lot of things we must do.

We will be flying in to Orlando on Friday. Friday and Saturday will be spent offsite- plans not final. Considering driving up to see the springs, that sort of thing. We will have a rental car.

Sunday- check into Poly at check in time, get settled. Go swimming, explore hotel. We will eat at 'Ohana for dinner, and spend the rest of the day hanging out at the Poly.

Monday (Memorial Day)- I want to be at Epcot for opening. We will tour future world pretty slowly- DS will want to ride Soarin, we can do the Living Seas, maybe even the Energy pavilion, and half of Innoventions. I want to have lunch at Coral Reef. We'll stay until about 2:00, and then head back to the Poly. We can rest until 6:00 or so, and then head back. I would have dinner around 7:00 (maybe LeCellier), and then enjoy WS until we got ready to go back. We might stay for Illuminations, depending on how we feel. It sure is nice to sneak out of the park before the masses depart.

Tuesday( DH's birthday) I didn't like the 9 crowd prediction for that day, and since it was DH's birthday, I decided it would be a good nonpark day.
I plan on a breakfast at Kona, followed by being lazy at the resort- renting some boats from the marina and playing all day. I want to take DH to the California Grill that night for dinner.

Wednesday- Magic Kingdom- We will get there at opening, and hit the must dos. Like Epcot, we will do what we can before 2, and then return following dinner (Narcoossee's).

Thursday- Animal Kingdom- The only real must dos for us are:
EE for me and DH
KS for all
KRR for my son
FOW for all
the Maharajah Jungle Trek and the Pangani Trail
Conservation Station

If we are there for opening, I expect to be done by three or so. Head back to hotel until time for dinner (Yachtsman)

Friday- Epcot. Morning- anything from FW we haven't done. Lunch at San Angel. Tour WS until we get tired. Dinner at Flying Fish. Would love to get the Breathless for an Illuminations Cruise that night.

Saturday- resort day- with option of going back to MK for the AM. Dinner at Jiko.

Sunday- Character breakfast at 'ohana, departure.

What do you think?

It looks that all are organized and well planned. Enjoy your stay and may you have a great experience.

Have a nice trip coming. :)
