We're going back to Walt Disney World in May 09!...pics added

That sounds yummy.

I would love to see pics too!!!

I tried to call and make my appointment for the Photo Pass session but the recording said the photographers were all out making memories for other families and to leave a message. I didn't leave a message I just figured I would call back in the morning.

Enjoy your down time.
I had a great weekend. Quiet and crafty. Can't beat that. I'll post some pics in the next post or two.

21st, You? Lindsey??
Mine is the 7th and Lindsey's is the 23rd.

No pics, ran out of time...
Bummer! Do you have any pics of the new do?

Oooo, those pancakes sounds adorable, and yummy!!!
They were so yummy. Here's a pic of them before the strawberry syrup, eggs, and bacon.

Had a great weekend and it was just what I needed. Friday night I made this cake for a friend of mine's son. He wanted John Deere colors and horses. It's not the greatest but he loved it according to his Mom. This was last minute so I didn't have much prep time. Unfortunately when I got done with the cake it was too tall for the box and some of the icing got smashed. Oh well lesson learned. Good thing I don't charge...:lmao:

Saturday morning, Josie and I went to the farmer's market, then Hobby Lobby and then came home and played outside for a while. Joe and Lindsey went to an area lake to fish.

Here's pics of Josie playing...

Here is Lindsey with her big catch-they threw back a bunch and kept these because they are better eating...I think the second pic is hysterical-Josie did not want anything to do with those fish.

Up next...how I spent my day today. :goodvibes

It was a rainy, yucky day so today we went out for lunch then took the girls to see the Hannah Montana movie. I have to say it was much better than I expected. It was pretty cute. The girls loved it.

Joe's mom has been teaching me how to sew over the last few years so when we came home I got back to work on some summer dresses I've been messing with for quite some time. I am no seamstress by any means but I love to piddle around with sewing. I've had fun making these. It was very, very easy which is about all I can handle. You can tell by the pics that they have some issues. :lmao:

I made the hairbows just to see if I could figure it out. They turned out okay too. I love doing crafts to relieve stress. I feel better and ready to take on what the week has ahead. Only 27 more days until I get a whole week to relax and have fun. I can't wait!!:woohoo:

No pics, don't think it really looks that different. No one commented on it. Those pancakes are cute!

Cute cake, I thinkg you should start charging! Oh my, when the girls see that Jeep they are going to want to be on the next plane to Kentucky to play! Avery also likes to fish. She had a blast her her G'Pa in Oregon 2 years ago. Josie's look is priceless. Those are cute dreses! Way to be crafty! My mom is a big sewer. Me not so much. No patience and some vision issues.Glad it is a good stress reliever. Hope this week goes by quick! My ticker now says 3 weeks instead of monthes!!

The dresses are so cute! I am impressed! I have a sewing machine, but the only thing I have made is a ring bearer pillow for my wedding and some pillow cases! I can only handle squares!!:rotfl: My grandma did help me sew a party/cocktail dress a couple of years ago and that was fun!

Well okay I suppose. I'm sure it does look different and I'm sure it looks great too. I guess I'll see it in about 26 days!!!

Thanks Mary! I have microscope eyes so small crafty stuff is good. Anything 3 feet from me is a whole other story. Lindsey loves to fish also. She outfishes her Pop and Daddy all the time. It's the funniest thing ever. BTW, the girls are welcome to come play anytime. You know that Joe had to get Lindsey a Jeep as soon as she was big enough to reach the pedals. He took the governor out so it can go pretty fast in hi. It's been garage kept for five years now...my van doesn't get to be in the garage but the jeeps well that is a different story...:lmao:

I got my machine as a gift about 3 Christmases ago. I go through spells. I've made some curtains, pajamas, simple sundresses, etc. I bet the dress you made with your grandma was cute. I'm still figuring everything out so the seams and hems aren't perfect by any means but they will hold together in the wash. As good as you are at finding and picking out just the right clothes, I bet you could make some very cute and interesting clothes for Emily.

You are so talented! Beautiful cakes and gorgeous dresses!
Thanks Lessa! Talented might be a stretch. :rotfl:

Lindsey is posing like a little model in her pictures. They are both so pretty and the dresses are very cute. Josie is too funny with that fish, I don't blame her, I'm not crazy about slimy things either. The cake looks so good. I wish I could do that.

Thanks Dana! Lindsey is a ham-always has been. Josie is very reserved and every interaction with someone outside her "circle of trust" is a battle. Joe and I are worried that she won't interact with the characters again this year. She says she is going to hug Mickey but I don't know. A few weeks ago we had to drag her out of the bathroom at Chuck E Cheese because Chuck E. got within 5 feet. The only character she interacted with at all last year was the Fairy Godmother. We think she hugged her because Lindsey ran up to her really fast and Josie thought it was her Nana. After she hugged her, she looked up saw the strangers face and took off running to me. You could see the OH CRAP look run across her face.

BTW, you could make a cake like that. It's really easy once you know what tip does what and how to hold them. Hobby Lobby offers classes at very reasonable prices. This week they are 50% off. I'm considering signing up for the fondant and gumpaste class. Just depends on when it is offered. May is a no-go for sure.

Hope you have a great night! I'm off to bed.

Sorry was trying to post to a new thread and butted in, in your thread instead. Was going to delete can't figure out how.
I have enjoyed reading your report.
Sorry

started your thread last night just made it to the last pages...
I love the dresses; brings back memoires from when my sister and I were young. My mom also made dresses for DD like that. I love the pink ones... your girls are beautiful... wish DS2 ate pancakes they look yummy and your cake (let's just say I wish)

Bless her heart. Dallas was always scared to death of them too. Now, he just turns red and shrugs.

You have a lot of faith in my artistic ability....:lmao:. I may take a class for it though it would be fun to learn how to do it. And yes May is a definate no-go.

Hope you had a great night and may today be even better!!!

I just looked at the cake decorating classes and session 3 is May 18th and 19th at my store. June classes are not up yet.

I love the dresses you made the girls. Wish I could sew like that. All I can make are hair bows but Kaylee will not wear hair bows or ribbons anymore:sad2:. The cake is adorable too.

Thanks for the kind words and thanks again for reading. The pancakes were yummy-we will probably do that again this weekend-the girls really got a kick out of that one. I'm gonna head over and check your PTR out in just a minute.

I need to check out when my store is offering classes. If you can work it out sometime you should give it a try. You will enjoy it. Took two courses with mom. We had a good time hanging out together.

Thanks Nichole! Lindsey, Josie and I made some simple hairbows this weekend. They had fun. Surprisingly Lindsey will wear hairbows-the wilder the better. Only 25 days until we meet at BNA! :woohoo:

Love the cake you made, the little horse driking out of the pond is so cute!

I love the picture of your little one disgusted by the fish:lmao: That is so funny

And the dresses you made, oh my god, I really wanted to try to do something like that to, but I am really no good at that stuff. I see that your daughter's have the same boots as my daughters, the Hannah Montana and princess ones!
