So, an interesting thing happened. We recently served as a referral source to friends living in our state. They purchased at Poly after we referred them to our DVC guide and they are so, so happy. I think they received $500 off their purchase through our referral, which is great!

Our DVC guide indicated that we would receive some special pixie dust for our referral. And, when nothing came our way, our guide then let us know we live in one of 5 or 6 states that don't allow any "pixie dust" for people that provide referrals to others. Has anyone else had a DVC guide tell them this? We thought that was so very strange, because right after we referred our friends, our DVC guide said pixie dust of some sort was coming our way. Has anyone else had this happen?

Obviously we didn't make a referral for the pixie dust. We are thrilled that our friends now own at the Poly and we are so happy for them. It's not a big deal to not receive an incentive for referring at all. But, I just found it strange that our guide made a big deal that something was headed our way, and then finding out that there are states where pixie dust can't be done. Our DVC guide would not elaborate on which other states, besides ours, are a no-go for folks who refer. I'm curious to know which states fall in this category.

Just thought I would share....and I'm ALWAYS happy to refer anyone who would like a referral. A DVC direct purchase was one of the best things DH and I have done!
