We're going back to Walt Disney World in May 09!...pics added

Yay! A Disney party! I've seen people talking about these parties, but I don't know anything about them. What are they all about?

I don't know all of the specifics but if you applied for the Mickey Moms Club back in Sept/Oct. you received a note about 3 weeks ago to compete for an in-home celebration kit. You had to fill out 3 essays and based on those reponses winners were chosen. I'm supposed to receive the kit by the 23rd. I will take lots of pics and post them. The party has to be between March 23rd and April 12.

I can't believe you have to go through all of that work for a prespective job! Can you choose something Disney as your topic? Good luck!!
Joe asked me the same question. Wouldn't it be great if I could do that :goodvibes

WOW, how exciting :cool1: :cheer2:. I haven't even gotten the magnet. :sad1:. I tired out for the Mom's panel last year too and lots of people got a pin and stickers and stuff and alas I got nothing then either :sad2: :sad1:.

I hope you have a great party and I can't wait for the details.

That's weird. Something screwy must be going on when you submit. I didn't get the D23 email that I signed up for and I NEVER, EVER get emails from Disney shopping like I used to. I've gone back three times and reset preferences and checked my Blocked Senders and still nothing. :confused3 I will take lots of pics and post.

Sorry about the house but congrats on the in home Disney party :cool1:. Josie is adorable and her is gorgeous. :yay: for 60 days, probably 59 for you now.
Thanks for the sweet words about Josie. I'm over the house thing now and really happy to know what's going on and to be working on our trip again.

:cool1:  :woohoo: :yay: :dance3: For 60 days and winning the in-home celebration.
Thanks Lessa!

Happy planning! Or it could be twice what you make now-ya never know. Good experience atleast!
I hope you're right! That would be awesome. :lovestruc I haven't even seen the the inside of the facility yet and I'm already training them...the sequence is a bit odd to me. I haven't interviewed a lot though so maybe this is how things go now. The questions I have been asked and the odd side projects seem straight out of a textbook.

Nice, congrats on the in home party. FUN FUN FUN:dance3:

Thanks, I am so excited to see what's in the kit. I've made the invitation list and started checking invitee schedules. Looks like the party is going to be on the 11th. I have Good Friday off to take care of last minute details and it should be pretty nice out so we can use the grill.

I'm envisioning another Mickey cake in my future...

It has been beautiful today, 77 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. I think I am going to take the girls to the park for a little while. There is a small but nice one around the corner. We only have about an hour of sunshine left so I better get moving. I love Spring :lovestruc

Wow 77 degrees. I cannot wait for that. The highest it's been around here is 60. I'm happy with that , but 77....NICE:flower3:

It is warm again today but a little overcast. They are calling for rain this afternoon. It looks like the weather is turning. It is going to be in the low 60's the next few days and then back up into the 70's. I think Spring is finally here! :woohoo: I need to go out and start looking for some plants for our garden. Planting season starts next week here.

We had a great time at the park yesterday. The girls played and I walked 1.5 miles and ran .5 miles. I haven't jogged in a long time so I was impressed with .5. If it continues to be nice I may have to try to do this regularly. I feel really good today.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Sorry you're feeling grumpy. How is the potty training coming along? It took FOREVER to get Lindsey potty trained and Josie trained herself. I swear you would never know that my two children have the same parents they are complete opposites in almost every way. Good luck with speedy potty training:wizard:

I was listening to the DIS podcast and heard them talking about the wildfires in FL. I hope you all get some rain very soon. It is going to be cooler than I thought here also this weekend. Tonights low is 36 and tomorrow's high is 56. Another cold night tomorrow and then the temps start to range in the mid to high 60's. I would really like another 77 degree day though. Yesterday was so nice.

I just have a mini update to report. I have been watching rental car prices for weeks now and I am so shocked at the price difference between last year and this year. Last year I got a full size a car for the week from Alamo for $170. This year the same car is going to cost $345. :scared1: :scared1:

I have no idea why rentals are so high. Anyone else have any insight?

For now I just booked us a car at the WDW on site Alamo for the day we intend to head to the beach. I reserved a convertible. It was only $7 more than an intermediate so I said what the heck let's live a little. We've never rented a convertible but we have a Wrangler and the kids love to ride in it with top off. Should be fun.

Prices on EVERYTHING have shot up, it's CRAZY!!!! I'm glad I live close enough to have my own car, I will have to drive 45 mins north to pick up my mom in Sept, in May Dad and DSM are coming to us....they're easier then Mom!! LOL Good luck with the rental car, which beach are you planning on going to?

I am less grumpy today! Though I was up in the middle of the night cause Cayley was throwing up. YUCK. Seems to be totally fine this am though. PT is going well. 3 times in the potty once in the panties. I use pullups for nap and bedtime so she did use that. She does not go all that often-kinda interesting. Sorry to hijack with PT :)

Wow that is :scared1: The convertible to the beach sounds very fun! My ex had a Wrangler-good times!

Hey, can you post your tentative schedule again? Need to start doing mine and want to see what you are doing since you are the veteran. I am also thinking of doing some dining changes.....

I found a car with budget for $240 for the week. I went ahead and reserved it but I will wait to see if things go down. We will definitely need a car for the beach but we are thinking with 8 am appointments at BBB that we may need a car for that too. I hope the rates come down more. Budget and Avis went down this morning by almost half so I jumped on in it.

Haven't decided on the beach yet. Have any suggestions? I'd love some feedback from a FL girl ;)

Glad you're feeling better. :goodvibes No hijack. Sometimes it helps to talk to other moms about what's going on. Sorry Cayley was sick last night but happy that she's doing better.

I wish we could take the Wrangler with us but I don't know how to get it there without be crammed into it for 12 hours. :lmao: Joe definitely does not want to drive to Orlando. I don't think I will be able to talk him into driving down ever again.

Will do. I'm considering changing my AK day on the 17th to just EPCOT because of the DIS Meet. UG is now showing it as a worst park too so I guess it doesn't matter. We're not eating there for our ressie so it is very doable to change it. I also didn't upgrade our tix to park hoppers yet because I've bought them the last 3 years and we really haven't hopped around. I'm thinking of leaving it off and only upgrading when I get there if I think I can't live without it. It's a savings of $213. I will try to post our new and improved itinerary tonight. I don't have everything with me at work. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Wow, rental prices are high. We're strictly using Disney Transportation! I'm sure some days it will be easier to have a car, but yeah, it is so expensive. We looked into it at the beginning of our planning, because dh said he'd like to take a drive at night once in a while. But after we saw the prices said forget it, we could do without a ride. We have 4 kids also though, so we can't even get a cute little compact car.

I will probably keep my one day convertible rental if I find out that I can get to MK before 7:30 by bus. I hate to spend the extra money for a week rental if I don't have to. If I can get a car for around $170 I will get it. We like to explore and usually make at least one trip to Olive Garden for lunch.
