We're Celebrating our Marriage with a trip to Disney World! Itinerary final touches

You should not have any problem getting into the parks for EMH

Normally die down after the fireworks

Love the pics of Seth at the park. he has the cutest smile :cutie:

I think it said it was in Burbank, CA. Not sure where in CA that is, but it's a lot closer than here! It's probably wishful thinking anyways.
We lived in Burbank for 7 years. I grew up in SoCal. Los Angeles, Glendale, Burbank, etc.
It's a very nice area.

Burbank is down by Hollywood.
Mmmm, not really. It's not far from north Hollywood, and Van Nuys. Well, depending on which part of Burbank you are in. We lived close to the Glendale border.
We were fairly close to Griffith Park, which is nice. And we were only about 10 minutes from Universal Studios. We had passes there and would take the kids often to just go play or ride the tram. I miss those days... but not the traffic or high cost of living. :rotfl:

The park photos of Seth are just adorable!! :goodvibes

I remember being on Van Nuys a few times last time we were down there. We were staying at a house in Sherman Oaks (loooong drive to DL every morning) so I should have known where Burbank was, I knew it sounded familiar. We were close to Ventura Blvd in that house.

We pay $1200 for an 1100 sq. ft. house here. That is a bit of a deal since Dillon works with the guy that owns it. Would normally pay about $1500 for this place. But I highly doubt we could get a 4 bedroom house in Cali for $1200 a month, haha.

It would be so awesome to be able to go to DL whenever we wanted! And Universal, Hollywood and the beaches. I just love that whole area. Except for maybe the traffic!

$1200 is likely to get you a studio apartment, MAYBE a 1 bedroom if you search long and hard and live in a not as great area of town!... At least in the area I am in!

I would guess quite a bit. It's not listed in the job posting anywhere, but I bet it's a fair amount. I am still trying to coax him to update his resume and apply, haha.

Do any of you have any touring plans that you take in the parks? I want to take advantage of the Fastpass system for sure, but not really sure how to do that without zig-zagging all over the place. We ended up doing that quite a bit in DL, and we got a little tired after a while.

Usually when we go to DL, the first thing we do is go to Space Mountain. And I think that's what we will do this time. Probably grab a FP, and then do the stand-by line, if it's not too long.

What's the best route to do?

This is my very favourite thing about Easter season! :)

They are not the cheapest, but I always have to get at least one bag every year, haha.

Yummy

My favorite is the Reese Peanuter Butter cups eggs.....mmmmmm

Those are pretty yummy too!

So....I was at the mall with my mom this afternoon when I came across this:

I have been slowly dying since. I have loved Swarovski's since I was little. My Grandma has a pretty big collection of them, which she's told me I get one day.

I have been eying the Disney ones for a long time but never been able to afford to get any, and I always said that if they ever had a Stitch one...it would be mine! But now he is here, and I find out he is $400 and limited edition. My heart basically sank when the lady at the jeweler store told me that.

I am hoping that maybe they sell them at the parks, and he will be a little bit cheaper. I see on the site he is $325. But if I do that....he will be my one and only souvenir!

2 weeks!!!

Two weeks from right now, I hope to be crawling into bed for our first night at the Pop Century! I hope to sleep well for our day at MK, but somehow I doubt that will happen. :rolleyes1

Tonight I've been doing laundry and washing some of the new clothes I picked up this weekend to wear down in the parks. As soon as they are done, they are going into the suitcase!

Tomorrow I hope to do a little running around. I hope to pick up a better memory card for my camera. My current one sometimes take forever to save a photo, and I can't take another photo until it's done. That's not acceptable when you like to take multiple photos of something to ensure a good shot.

Also going to attempt to look at some hair accessories at Walmart. And I have to remember to check our sunscreen supply so I can pick up that if needed. Other than that, I think we have everything we need, just gotta get it packed up! :woohoo:

This weekend we are going down to Calgary to visit my Dad and some friends. We will head down on Thursday since Dillon has Friday off for Good Friday. Spend some time with my best friend Chrissy, and then dinner at my Dad's on Saturday. Early Sunday we will head back up to Red Deer for dinner at Dillon's Moms. That will keep me busy this weekend so that I don't go crazy with excitement! Once the weekend is done, only 1 more week. Then I might be going crazy. :rotfl2:

:cool1: WOO HOO!!!!! :cool1: I think I'm almost as excited as you are!!! I can't wait to hear all about it & hopefully see a ton of pics!!!!! Reviews of the restaurants would be nice too!!! :woohoo:

I just read back to see your interest in moving to Southern Cali.......trust me, we've looked & checked areas all around within an hour of Disneyland......and there's nothing we could afford. Most 4 bdrms....in decent areas were $2400 and up.....mostly up!! We would have needed Mike to be working a $20+ an hour job & for both boys to have full time jobs plus my adoption assistance to afford to live down there. I don't know how people do it. :confused3

If we won the lottery, we might think about it again....... :rotfl2:

I am going to try my best to remember to take photos of everything we eat! I have been bad with remembering in the past. Usually I remember when I've got one or two bites left. :rolleyes1 But I hope to take some notes too so that I don't forget anything.

I so badly want to move to Cali. That house that we stayed at in August is finally finished and up for sale. I keep trying to get my mom to ask her friend if he will rent it to us for the $1200 we pay here. But she thinks I am joking. :confused3 Do you think he'd go for it? :rotfl2:

Here is a link to the sale information on the house. It's a 2 Million dollar home estimated at over $7000 a month, and I want to rent it for $1200. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl::laughing: Yeah, I think I am dreaming a little too much on that one!

We did too.....Mike was calling around about possible transfers with Safeway but nothing worked out & the pay wouldn't have been enough to cover the $1000 increase in rent per month. We also have to be looking down the road too......Mike's 50 & our adoption assistance goes till each kid hits 18 yrs old......so in 7 yrs our monthly income will be coming down. We have to make sure where ever we live we'll be able to afford it in 10 yrs. But we would LOVE to be in Southern Cali!!!!! Hopefully you'll be able to make it work.....you are young & have tons of years ahead of you!!

Holy Smokes!!! :scared1: I'm looking at the house pics & thinking its nice.....but it's definitely not 2 million dollars nice!!!!!! Why is property so high down there......that's crazy!!!! My dad had a $500,000 house that was way nicer & fancier than that place & had a large piece of property, beautiful yard & landscaped backyard with creek & such. If that place is 2 million, my dad's place would have been a 10-15 million home down there!!!

Have you thought about moving a little closer? Like central Cali or Arizona?

I was thinking Arizona cause housing is so cheap, but because housing is cheap, does that mean there are no jobs there? Dillon is an IT, so he can work pretty much anywhere that needs someone. I don't have any college education, but do have lots of experience in an office, so I am sure I could find something for work. But there is also the matter of getting a Visa to work down there. I don't know how hard that would be for us to get.
