Ok so we have actually been home since late last Friday but real life kept getting in the way!

Highs
Virtually everything!

No hold-ups on journey to Ashford, E'star check in easy (love those kids packs) couldn't get through Village as we had a bottle in our luggage (but I had tried to tell DH that) so had to go back to the bus.

HNY was great again, managed virtually all of the check-in in French:woohoo: cast members were friendly and lots of fun. Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and Goofy(?) were in the lobby to entertain everyone.

We were sprinkled with Disney magic!! We had 2 rooms and when I went into ours, there were balloons on both beds, a love heart of rose petals on one with a card saying Happy Anniversary (it's not our anniversary until tomorrow, it's not a special one & it wasn't our reason for going but they asked!) then I noticed another card on the little table this time for my Birthday (again not until the 19th) with a mug/sweets in cellophane. To top it all we had a turn down service with chocolate coins each night plus a litre of Vittel on the first night.

Our rooms were on the 8th floor in the Midtown Tower i.e. the middle, overlooking the park, car park and most of the rest of the local area! ours had an opening window and the boys had an enormous panoramic window so that we could watch the fireworks in the evenings.

Food was good everywhere.

Weather after a cloudy start in Calais it brightened up, we had a little drizzle on Thursday evening when we were on the lake but that was it, Friday was really hot, too hot actually but as it was our last day we had only planned to wander around doing bits and pieces.

CMs everywhere were really friendly - maybe it was because it was near the end of the summer season and they knew it would be quiet soon.

Shareholders Card we made good use of this and CMs didn't mind at all, calling for a supervisor and apologising for any wait.

Queues yes there were big queues on lots of rides but we didn't wait in them! We did quieter rides and 'look-ats' during the afternoon and the bigger rides at either end of the day (and no we didn't make full use of EMH!) we even 'walked-on' Parachute drop at around 10/10.15a.m
by making use of the single rider line (thanks for the tip!) and we all rode again within 5-10 min.

Paris we went in by RER to CDG/Etoile did the obligatory oohs, aahs and photos at the Arc de TRiomphe, metro to Passy for photos of ET then made a 'slight' error of judgement :rolleyes1 by deciding we ought to walk to the Musee Rodin (Varenne) as it would be easier than changing lines and would let us see more of Paris, let's just say it wasn't such a good idea:rotfl2:
The museum itself was good though and I resisted the urge to compile a photo collection of inappropriate views of statues:lmao: Next onto Tour Montparnasse, well worth doing for the great views, without the ET queues.

C&A Yes I know most people wouln't think of putting this on a DLP forum let alone as a high, but I miss them! I used to work in C&A (in England I hasten to add) as a Saturday girl so when I saw it near the TM (above) I just had to go in and then of course when I found their Rodeo ski wear I just had to buy myself a coat!:cheer2:

Being brave! Some of you will remember my thread on how brave I should be - for those that didn't, in my book POC is a roller coaster! Well I went on virtually everything the others went on except R 'n' R which didn't appeal at all and IJ which only DH & DS3 went on. I did Star Tours twice (I have done this before) BTM I really enjoyed the first time so we went straight back on with FPs but when I tried it on the last night we were near the back and it didn't seem so smooth, that combined with having just done Star Tours left me feeling queasy for a few hours! Parachute Drop twice i a row, which was alright apart from the feelings of terror each time it started to move! But the big one had to be Tower of Terror - our longest queue at 35-40 min- I can honestly say this was the weirdest, most terrifying yet slightly addictive thing I have ever been on. (I apologise if you were on this at the same time as me and I'm sure your ears will recover from the screaming soon) I remember thinking that if my body stretched anymore that my arms wouldn't be long enough to hold on and DS1 said afterwards that he had had to keep his arms bent to hold himself down as he hadn't checked the height of the ceiling (we were at the back) and was worried he might hit it! Annoyingly the camera wasn't working in that lift so we didn't get to see the photo of a deranged woman screaming and clinging on for dear life while her 16yr old tried to bend down and her 11 yr old whooped with glee - I don't know what DH & DS2 were doing as they were on the other side. I could understand why people would want to do it again, but it was a very strange feeling!

Grr only saved up to now wrote loads more and then lost it all, so am going to post this now before I lose it again!:sad2:

Sounds like you had a great time. Looking forward to the TR.

Welcome back, sounds like you had a magical trip:thumbsup2

Wow your son must be tall then! I also know some one that looks like a deranged woman on Tower of Terror my husband lol! He hates rides but goes on them for me! xxx

You got a big burst of bravery!! Fair play to ya. Gotta love ToT for freaking you out! DBFri says never again but Im going to work on that for our next trip! I get so brave at DLP but am practically in tears on the plane to CDG!
Your Paris part sounded lovely. And i get what you mean about C&A. Ive a similar relationship with Superdrug as theres only a couple in Ireland and theyre faaaaar away but their hair dye is great. Hense the few grey hairs peeping out.

Cant wait for the next bit and would also love to read your TR popcorn::

Welcome back! :wave2: Glad you had a great time and looking forward to reading more. :goodvibes
