Where do you camp? It was tremendous -- weather like air-conditioning although the pollen and smoke bothered some people. My flonase kept me going fine. Great beginning to the season.

We are at Westward Shores. OMG the air! My allergies were killing me. It was a nice weekend otherwise!

Any word yet on when this is supposed to air? Will it be on all those channels at the same time? Will it be like a long infomercial, or will it be done like a half hour show?

Dear Pal Val,

Your family is beautiful. Your story was wonderful. Only at WDW could one have such a once in a life time adventure such as yours. The pixie dust most certainly fell in your family's direction that day . Congratulations !! That was probably the best gift you could ever get. Your family will not only have the most wonderful memories, in heart and mind, of the experience, but they will also have the recording for posterity.

I just returned from a 2 week work related trip to Africa to find all these kind posts regarding my family! A few of you asked questions that I will try to respond to...

In the family shot at dinner, the girl in pink is my daughter, and the girl in blue is my daughter in law.

They did not tell me exactly when it was going to air, just that they where expecting it to run starting in August. As soon as I hear from them I will let you all know.

It is going to be a 1/2 show about Disney Vacation Club, a long commercial so to speak...

They did ask me to send a few photos of past trips that they will probably use with "voiceovers" from our interviews. Now that I'm back from my trip I can hopefully find time to search for some good ones. I have a cute one of the girls when they were 5 and 11 months old in their "Minnie dresses".

It has been a busy 4 week time period for sure!

Again thank you for your kind words, it's been fun sharing my story with people who actually "get it" when it comes to DVC!

I know...poor planning on my part, but I wanted to give my watch to my granddaughter on her birthday in May, and it just happened to be one week before I had to leave for Africa. My friends all thought I was crazy because I told them I was more excited over going to Disney than an African Safari! I manage a bank travel progam, so this was a job related trip. The safari was wonderful, and the people of Kenya even more wonderful.

I didn't know we would be filmed for a DVC commercial when I planned either one of these trips, so I had to work on my "time management" for sure!

Can you tell me what the program is titled? I checked on Travel Channel as soon as I read your post and it wasn't a show about DVC. I'd like to look it up to see when it's on in my area.

It's called Disney's Storybook Vacations. Although it sounds like it isn't showing up on some people's listings as that - it's just "Paid Programming". It shows on my list that it's suppose to be on right now again on the Travel Channel, but it's actually that infomercial with the kids doing those crazy complicated math problems in their heads.

Here's some other times/channels it's showing up for me. (Note: times are Central)

9/15 5:30am Discovery
9/16 3:00am TLC
9/16 4:30am Oxygen
9/17 5:00am Hallmark
9/18 4:30am HGTV
9/18 7:00am CNBC
9/19 3:00am Bravo
9/19 5:30am ABC Family
