We're back, and the trip was full of Magically Magical Magic!!

I'm looking at your ticker.... please finish the report before you leave ;) Don't torture us ;)

Wow you will be back in WDW so soon!

Where are you staying this time? How long are going for and who is coming with you? Inquiring minds want to know (LOL).

OMG!!

Had to share this with you... and fellow readers!!

We changed our 3 weeks Old Key West vacation to 2 weeks at the Contemporary! Woot woot!

I know you didn't care for it... but the price was convenient for us! hehehe

Hope your suitcase is almost ready. If you are like me... my suitcase is full 2 weeks before hehehe

We are staying Value, at all-star music this trip. I keep laughing when I say it's a short trip, since it's 6 nights, 7 days, but it's short for us! Just Mal and I are going again, we are getting APs this year, so there may be MANY TRs in my future. Since we're doing a trip as cheap as possible, we aren't even doing the dining plan, since I can eat for much less than either plan costs. I know Mal would also like to go for her birthday in March, my best friend Snow White from my pre-trippie wants to go at some point, and my family and I may go for my birthday in May. Plus, we already have our Free Dining in September booked. See what I mean about the addiction?

That's great, I hope you have a much, much better time than I did!!! And the monorail is good times. Tomorrow is actually my packing day, and I will finish up the last 2 days before I leave, I promise!!

So, it appears that both Mal and I stopped taking pictures at this point in our trip. All I have left are some hidden characters in the carpet at the GF that I'll post at the end. Sorry!!!

Day 11 - September 22nd

The Plan: MGM rope drop, lunch at B&C, must sees: B&TB and Fantasmic, and dinner at Sci-Fi

The Reality: We woke up early and grabbed a bagel at Gaspirilla's before catching the bus to MGM!! I cannot believe that we made rope drop again, considering I've never made it to a park for RD before unless I had a breakfast ressie. And even then, it's not really RD. So, once again, there was a crazy mad rush to TSM, and I 100% lost Mal. We had the same plan as before to just meet up in the line, so when I finally got there, I did a quick search of the FPs to make sure she wasn't there, and then hopped in line. Sure enough, I could see her about 1/2 way up the line, so I began to make my way up to her. About 10 people back from Mal, I realize.....that's not Mal. But I've been pointing out this random person to EVERYONE in line, saying "That's my friend, we got separated, if you don't mind, etc....". So what's a girl to do? I just walk up behind that person, ask them a question so that anyone looking in line sees some interaction, and then prayed I'd actually SEE Mal at some point. :rolleyes1 No dice, I ended up riding alone. And as my car comes out of the ride, I see Mal in line!!! So, I'm yelling her name, and she totally doesn't react at all. It was hilarious. I just waited outside for her on a bench until she was done, and then we had a good laugh about the whole thing. She said the same thing happened to her, but reverse. She kept seeing chubby people with blonde hair, and she couldn't remember what colour shirt I was wearing, and it was a crazy debacle.

After that, we went and did the Animation class, and drew Mickey for about the 20 millionth time. Although, last trip it was all Donald all the time, so Mickey was a good change. Except I can't draw a decent circle to save my life, so all my Mickey's look like they should ride the short bus. Meh, it's why I have an MBA and not a fine arts degree.

According to the journal, we then had lunch, but I'm sure we did at least a few other things before catching the boat to the Beach Club. I do remember that once we got off the boat, I could not for the life of me remember where B&C was located, so we wandered a bit off course. There was a wait, as there always is, but I had my refillable mug with me, so we just sipped on that for a bit. Also, I totally cheated and had my mug refilled so that we wouldn't have to buy a pop at lunch. The food here was great, although the wait makes it iffy if we'll return. We had the Fudge Sundae for dessert (I REALLY wanted the No Way Jose, but Mal doesn't eat chocolate and peanut butter....I know, how are we even friends, right?) and it was amazing. And huge, considering the cost wasn't insane.

After lunch, we rolled back to MGM...and the rain began. We tried our luck at the animation class, and scored Mickey once again. After class, it was finally B&TB time. At this point, it was a total deluge of rain. We sought solace under the tiny umbrella that I believe is for the CMs at the entrance, and it was there that we met a very nice older couple. We chatted until it was time to go in, and then Mal and I booked it to get good seats. The couple ended up sitting behind us, and we talked until the show started. And they 100% pimped their sons to us. At least the boys weren't there, that could have been awkward, but it was so cute. We learnt that between the two of them, they are 1 daughter (that I reminded them of) and 3 sons. One worked for Tiffany's (DIBS!) and the other two were currently deployed in Iraq. Mal and I both thought we were actually going to end up with an email address or something. :rotfl2: I should mention that I thanked them for allowing their sons to fight for America. Now, I'm obviously not American, but I think having a functioning army is very important, and while I don't particularly agree with this specific war, this does not in any way make the sacrifices that are occurring any less heroic. And I think it takes a very special kind of person to enrol in the army, knowing that your country is in a time of war, and to do your duty wholeheartedly. So that was a really nice moment in our day.

After that, I'm sure we just meandered around the park until dinner at Sci-Fi. I ended up asking for a burger to be prepared, since nothing on the dinner menu really appealed to me at that point in time, and they did happily oblige. We both enjoyed our meal, but I know that lunch is better, so that will be our choice next time around.

Since it was still sort of raining, and we'd done everything at MGM possible, we went to Fantasmic fairly early, and ended up sitting in the Mickey section for the first time ever. :cheer2: As usual, we chatted with the people around us, and the couple in front was watching for the first time. This was their second trip to WDW, and they were having a less than magical trip, so we promised to give them some of our magic. And warned them to leave when we did (when the steamboat comes out) or else the wait for buses and the exit from the park can be insane.

The park had EMH that night, but Mal and I were done with everything, and since it was rainy, just wanted to get back to the GF and pack for check-out the next day. :sad2:

So, that was it, our last full day at WDW for what we thought would be a year. Instead, we're going to be back there in a week!!! :dance3:

Here are some random pics of the carpet in the GF, and they are of different characters, which we thought was quite adorable. So there really is Disney theming there, it's just very high class.

This is their logo in the carpet, which totally remind me of the Tipton hotel logo.

Up Next - Farewell Monorail! We rock the MK one last time, see the Dream Team again and try two different things from the Bakery that we've never had before.

I never noticed the carpet before!

Yes, the logo does remind me of the tipton too as I am constantly forced to watch the family channel (the canadian channel that shows the Disney channel shows) by my children.

I should mention that I thanked them for allowing their sons to fight for America. Now, I'm obviously not American, but I think having a functioning army is very important, and while I don't particularly agree with this specific war, this does not in any way make the sacrifices that are occurring any less heroic. Very Canadian of you. To empathize with the family even though you don't agree with the politics behind it. How polite of you!

Ahh, it's just how us Canucks roll! :rotfl: (get it, a rolling happy face....sigh, I must be tired). We are a freakishly polite nation, but I like it. I'm so sad I only have one update left, but I'm going to try my hand at a dining review next....yikes! Hopefully I'll get that going so it's in the works before I leave next week. I'm really enjoying this TR thing, and am sad it's going to be over so soon!! And missy D, where is your next installment?!?!

And missy D, where is your next installment?!?!

I must have been working on mine while you wrote that. I had a heck of a time with my pictures. The kids are wearing personalized T-shirts so I had to block out the names somehow. I think I got them all but if you see one of their real names will you PM to let me know?

I'm fully expecting some reports on all your next trips you annual pass holder you. How jealous am I?

Then you'll have to do one for the MVMCP trip too!

I just double checked, and there are no real names. Good job!

But another TR is on it's way. So I'm not sad hehehe

Oh, well, since you're all expecting it.....ok!!! :goodvibes

Day 12 - September 23rd

The Plan: Check out (:sad1:), get as much MK stuff done as possible, and eat at the Main Street Bakery for our very first time!

The Reality: Well, checking out sucks. We all know that, so that's all I'm saying about it. After "that thing we're not talking about" happened (ohh, that sounds kinda dirty!!) we made it to MK for rope drop AGAIN. I think the secret to rope drop is being on the monorail. We booked it to the MSB, as I've heard it can get crazy, and tried the french toast loaf. It was ok, but I think I was really expecting a WOW. After inhaling breakfast, we did every single possible ride that we could do. We'd learnt our lesson and started in Fantasyland, and after flying through that, we did the HM! I really love the changes, although I do sort of wish they'd updated the music room some more. We were walking out of the ride when I saw....DT. And they were frosted!!! So, this guy asks me how many are in our group, and I'm thinking OMG, DID WE JUST WIN THE CASTLE?!?!? We didn't, I would not have been able to hold that back, but we did win our second dream fastpasses!!! I told him there were two of us, and he sent us on down the hall to the girl with the FPs. But I kid you not, for about 2.5 second, I almost threw up thinking we'd won the castle. And I SOOOOO would have stayed for that. OMG. Maybe next trip...

I felt a bit guilty about the DFP, since most of the rides on them I'm unable to do, but Mal used her's for BTM and then we both used it for Jungle Cruise. And they were totally unnecessary, as the park was dead. So dead in fact, that after lunch at Peco's Bills, and eating an ice cream sandwich at the MSB (another first, so delicious and a crazy good value for a SC) we actually were out of things to do. Say what?

We'd done everything we wanted to do on our farewell day. So...we just went back to the GF for a bit of down time/our last opportunity to absorb the GF and like the addicts we are, planned what we thought would be our next trip....FD next year.

Wow, typing that, we had a very uneventful last day!! And now it's typed and over.:sad1: So, thanks everyone for reading and posting and following along, I had a great time reliving the trip with all of you!!! :grouphug: I'll post the link to my next TR at the end of this one once I start it, so you'll all be able to find it if you want to read about "The Adventures of Alice and Mal - The Serach for Scrooge" edition.

I just double checked, and there are no real names. Good job!

Oh, well, since you're all expecting it.....ok!!! :goodvibes

Thanks for checking!

I just popped in to say a smart remark or two about peer pressure and how you and I notice you've posted another installment. I'll be back later to enjoy it. I need time to sit down with a tea to digest it since it is your last(?).

Glad to hear you're doing another report. Still jealous though.

You leave in two days!!!!! Have a great time.

OMG, thanks so much!!! I'm just putting the last minute touches on my packing, and I checked the weather, and it looks chilly! I lost a pair of capris and added some jeans to my bag. And I'm running to Old Navy tomorrow to get some lightweight gloves, just in case it gets really cold at night. I can't wait to let you all know how it goes when I get back! Mal's already said we may "have" to do another party on the Friday if it's not sold out, there is tons to do at the MVMCP and many characters we must meet. :woohoo: And she's so excited to get to buy a passholder pin for the first time. :goodvibes

See you when I get back!
