We're back, and the trip was full of Magically Magical Magic!!

Bring a wind breaker and a super warm sweater in case.

At one point, I had a wool sweater on top of a blouse, gloves and a scarf and I was freezing!

Your safari pictures are great. How sweet is that baby girafe?

I also love the picture of mal on the bed watching TV sucking back her goofys's candy treat. Does she know you posted that?

OK, I've officially added these to the packing spreadsheet. Although, if I just happen to forget them, I suppose I'd just have to buy a disney sweatshirt...

I was in love with that giraffe. Totally wanted to take him home with me for sure. Don't think they'd do so well in our winters though.

And Mal knows I have the photo, and she reads the TR sometimes, so hopefully she's ok with it. It's just such a quality pic, I had to share! Although lets hope we don't get into a "bad pic posting war"...it would end badly.

Yes, I can see your point.

But just for fun.

MAL... Are you here?

Are you just gonna take this?

Another great update!! DH and I are doing the AK concierge safari in March (SHHHH it's a suprise, he doesn't know!) It looks great!! Thanks for the pics!!

I love GF! We stayed there in March! It's so beautiful! Your right, Gasparilla's is great CS! I had the best italian sandwich one day for lunch! Yummmmmmmy!!

Hey guys, I'm sooooo sorry I've been slacking on here. I just haven't been in the "posting" mood for the last week. I found out that they are hiring someone to replace me where I work since I'm still off on LTD, and it sort of threw me for a loop.

But I promise to update soon, and....Mal finally got me the pics, so those will be edited, uploaded to Photobucket and added to my earlier posts ASAP.

As for you, Diamond, calling out Mal like that, tisk tisk!! It's ok, she had a pic of me eating in bed that I'll post out of fairness.

Mickey, I know you're taking 2 trips during this crazy promo they have out now, were you able to apply it to your current ressies?

I can't wait to see more pictures!

Yes, I was able to apply the deal!!! My TA is wonderful and helped me a ton!!

Our January trip was originally 6 days, we changed everything and are now staying 9 days!! Plus we're saving almost a GINORMOUS amount of money with the 3 free deal and the fact that the airfare for the day we're coming home now is cheaper!! You can take a gander at my freaking out reports from yesterday and this morning in my PTR. The link is in my siggie. The deal doesn't apply to March because we're only staying for 4 nights/5 days. I thought about trying to convince DH to stay longer but we're going without the kiddos so I just can't be away that long!!! No matter what I really freakin excited!!!

Day 10 - September 21st

The Plan: Typhoon Lagoon, DTD and PI

The Reality: We slept in and had a lazy morning. Translation: Lifetime Movie Network. All morning long. It was FAB!! We went to lunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe, and had some pretty delicious fare. After that, we doned the bathing suits and bused it over to TL. I love TL, mostly due to the wave pool. And the Crush N Gusher. Mal LOVES the shark tank, it is her fav. So, upon entering the park, we rode the CNG and screamed our heads off, and then made our way over to the shark tank. Now, I've snorkled before, many time in fact, in both fresh and saltwater. I've done the shark tank at TL before. However, for some reason, about 1/2 way through the tank my snorkel started to fill with water. So I calmly (honestly, I was calm) flipped onto my back, spit out my mouthpiece and started to float my way towards the exit. Then, the lifeguard came. OMG, it was silly. And I felt RETARDED. I don't even know why he bothered, I was about 8 feet from the exit, I wasn't flailing or anything, but I guess that's his job. And he was quite efficient. So, I dragged myself out of the tank and doused my mouth with Florida water to try and get the wicked salt taste out of my mouth. When I handed the snorkle in, I mentioned what happened, and the guy threw them into a reject box, so I'm assuming that may happen quite often? Either way,

I did love the added humiliation of being rescued in the shark tank.
After we lazy rivered for a bit, we grabbed some mini-donuts and were on our way back to the GF. We swam in the pool there for a while, and I must say, the slide there is tons of fun!! Once we were all watered out, we went back to the room to shower and get ready for some DTD!!

I was soooo in the mood to shop, but for some reason nothing caught my eye that night. Or at least not yet!! Mal found her Donald squishee in the Toy Store, and then we went to Earl for dinner. 1) I love sandwiches. 2) They have Cherry Coke there. A perfect meal for this gal!! We decided to wander over to PI since it would be closing soon, and were just in time to get into the Comedy Warehouse. This place was a BLAST! Mal and I each got a drink, laughed our heads off, and I even got to participate, due to the fact that I'm from a small town and will volunteer for just about anything. After that was over, we made our way though all the places, just checking them out inside (everything was pretty dead) and then check in to the Adventurer's Club, which was packed and we were late, so we didn't know what was happening. So we left and finished up our shopping on the West End.

It was here that I make my wonderful discovery..."The Truth About Chuck Norris: 400 Facts about the Worlds Greatest Man". Now, Mal and I were both a bit buzzed from the drinks, but this book still cracks me up, so I say it was a good buy! We were just standing in the middle of the Virgin Megastore, with me gasping out "facts" while Mal laughed and cried and clutched her belly. I know for a fact we looked totally drunk and crazy. After we calmed down, I bought the book, and we left DTD via bus. The bus that stopped at a million places before our hotel, including Fort Wilderness, Wilderness Lodge, and the Poly. Sweet lord. Good thing we had Chuck Norris to keep us company! Here are a few of my favourite ones that are PG enough to post on here.

Chuck Norris makes onions cry.
If you can see CN, he can see you. If you can't see CN, you may be only seconds away from death.
Love means CN never has to say he's sorry.
and one more...
Ghosts are actually caused by CN killing people faster than Death can process them.

I hope you enjoyed those. My mom thinks they are beyond stupid, and my dad laughs every time tell him one. So they aren't for everyone.

By the time we got back to the hotel room, the laugh fest had tired us out completely, so we crashed.

Up Next - Day 11 already? I lose Mal at MGM, is that rain, parents try and pimp their sons to us and will we see Fantasmic? Stay tuned!

This TR has been a riot!! :lmao: First of all, what a great choice in hotels :thumbsup2 Even tho I'm not a fan of CR, if I were going to stay there, I'd expect something outstanding. and those bugs at Poly :confused3 I would have been torn on 1) losing the awesome view by having to move to another room and just hope there aren't more or 2) moving & getting different bugs :lmao:

Can't wait to see your view at GF!

Plus that waiter really would have made me super uncomfortable - are they allowed to ask those type of questions without getting into trouble??

Can't wait to see more pics - great job :thumbsup2

Since we don't get the lifetime channel here in Canada-I think a morning of watching it sounds heavenly. It's a shame you couldn't of had the Earl of sandwich deliver the sandwiches and cherry coke to your room. Now that would have made it decadant!

I'm amazed that you resisted Goofy's candy store this trip.

I can totally see why the Chuck norris book sent you both into hysterics.

Hey, welcome and thanks for reading, I'm glad you're enjoying! This really was a trip of a lifetime (so far) for both of us, and we could never have stayed at those hotels without the 40% off code. For the next year, it is definatly back to values!! Except maybe my birthday....maybe that'll be WL.

Our view at the GF....is no view! It's the monorail track, but I'm sure I have a pic somewhere of it, and I'll post.

As for the waiter, his pic will be up later in that post. I wasn't so much uncomfortable as shocked. 1) I never get hit on. 2) It's Disney, I expect all flirting to come from Chip and Dale. I suppose if it had bothered me, and I'd complained about it, maybe he might have gotten in trouble? In all honesty, the first thing I thought of after the encounter was "this will make a great section in my TR." I'm so Dis!

Wow, that is decadant, I like the way you think!! And the only reason we resisted Goofy's was that we both still had our treats, but leftover snacks from the DXDP and our halloween candy from 2 parties. Oh, and here's that "eating pic" of mine, to make things fair with Mal, and to give everyone on here a good laugh at my expense. Again. :goodvibes

Which reminds me....Pictures of CN are worth two thousand words.

Nevermind!

Decided to not be lazy and look.. and found out that yes.. you added pics :P

My DH wanted that book at Disney...I find it mildly amusing but told him he had to follow the "no souvies for adults" rule at Disney (and then I went and bought myself a pair of earrings ;) :rotfl: )

Your poor husband! :lmao: It really was a stupid purchase for 10 dollars, but besides that and the MNSSHP jumbo pin, I didn't buy anything else souvie wise. And the book cracks me up!! Tell your husband I said "Death once had a near-CN experience". :rotfl: What kind of earrings did you get?

;) Mickey Mouse loops (they're not fancy but they made me happy). I snuck them into my ears and he never noticed!!! ;)

Ohh, nice! I think I may try and find some subtle Disney jewelry when I'm there this month. I rarely use/wear anything Disney outside of WDW, but a pair of earrings would be ok. I love the sneakiness BTW. :thumbsup2

Oh haven't worn them SINCE Disney...but they were fun while I was there! ;)

OMG!! Your too funny! The Chuck Norris book sounds funny! Especially with a drink or 2 :rolleyes1
