Well, we were back a couple of days ago, but needed some time to decompress!

We flew on Alaska direct from Seattle, had great flights both ways. We arrived Saturday evening, March 4th. We'd rented a mid-size SUV from Alamo, and after standing in the line for 45 minutes, we got up to the cars to discover none left! DH found someone (finally) and were told to go ahead and take a full-size Trailblazer.

We stayed at a townhouse in Windsor Hills...great community, so convenient to everything. We did have a bit of trouble locating the proper turn off 192 that first night, as the street sign wasn't illuminated. A lack of sleep probably didn't help! ;)

On Sunday we went off to Seaworld and ended our day in the Splashzone for the Shamu show. We did change our tickets for the additional 6 days upon arrival, just in case, but we never did get back there.

Monday was MGM day. The crowds all week were really manageable, no more than a 20-minute wait for anything, and usually more like 5-10 minutes. We hit TOT, Star Tours (DD's favorite), muppets, etc. Back to the townhouse in the evening as the parks were closing early-ish all week.

Tuesday was Epcot, starting with PSB at Akershus in the morning. We had Cinderella (!), Belle, Aurora, Snow White, and Jasmine. Lots of fun. Then off the Test Track, Soarin', Mission Space (for DH only), and lots of other things since there was still not much of a wait for anything. DH tried the Beverley at the Coke place...said it wasn't bad!

Wednesday was MK, and we did all the major rides in no time flat...still no waits to speak of.

Thursday was AK, and we started with the safari, and rode Everest twice! What a great ride! Again, no waits for anything, even EE was only 25 minutes tops. We went over to Epcot for our Le Cellier reservation in the evening. What can I say about that, except YUM!

Friday was a relaxing day, just some outlet shopping, swimming, etc.

Saturday we spent at Kennedy. DH was in heaven there. I hadn't been for about 30 years, so I enjoyed it also.

Sunday the 12th we headed back to Epcot, then MGM to hit a few more things. What a difference this time! The parks were packed. Epcot had over 1 hour waits for everything, so we were thankful we'd done everything the week before. We did do the Figment thing this time...surprisingly, I'd never been on it before, and can I say that the ride scared the carp out of me when the "explosion" happens? LOL Wasn't expecting that! At MGM, we did the Movie Ride that we'd never done before, and it was fairly cheesy. We did TOT again that evening, even though it was a 50 minute wait, since I love going on that ride in the dark...it was lots of fun! DH also noted that the "U R doomed" (or whatever it was) in the bottom of the board in the lobby isn't there anymore!

Monday was one last visit to MK in the morning, and AK in the afternoon. Soooo much busier this Monday than the one before. We didn't do EE this time as the stand-by time was over 2 hours! Literally, the line was winding all the way down the street. They were also "closing" the ride at 4 that day, probably to make sure they could get through all the people before the park closed at 6.

Tuesday we were heading home, bright and early. The security line at MCO was quite long, which was surprising for a Tuesday morning.

We had beautiful warm weather the whole time, mostly in the mid-80's, with the exception of a day or two where the wind really made it chilly.

And now vacation's over ... but we had a great time, and it's just convinced me we need to make it a full 2 weeks next time! ;)

Thanks for the trip report! Once I get over the fatigue from the drive, I'm going to do mine too. :)

Welcome home.

Glad to hear you were able to hit most everything before the crowds set in. I can't wait to ride EE in May.
