We just returned from 8 great days at Disney--stayed at CBR Trinidad North. The only difference we (9 of us) saw in the different islands was the distance from the food court/pool area and bus stop order. I had requested Jamaica but ended up in Trinidad North 33. Jamaica had a nice playground out front. The walk to the food court/poool was about 4 minutes. We have previously stayed at POFQ and found CBR to be pretty but HUGE! The rooms had wonderful storage areas and the privacy curtain was great! The lake and beach area was peaceful/pretty but my mom and MIL ended up walking through the parking lot for coffee to save time as the walk was a little much for them. The pool was nice but smaller than I had anticipated. My kids swam 4 times and made lots of friends...but they still said they like the waterslide at POFQ better. I know JULESMOM had already posted this but CBR was the farthest bus stop at the theme parks (#9) --even farther than the All Stars--so after walking out from the parks you needed to walk to the farthest bus stop. We were also overwhelmed with the number of stops the bus had to make at the resort before it got to Trinidad North. Jamaica was almost always first. By the 5th stop my kids were really fussy and wanting to get out of the bus..I think we were stop 6. None of things ruined our trip..we just laughed them off but they should be considered when staying at CBR.
The parks were crowded but the cast members said it's nothing compared to what it will be aroung Easter "wall to wall people". We had a great touring plan we tried to stick to which utilized FP and it worked great!!
One more quick note..my 5 year old got strep throat while at Disney. Ran a 102 degree fever for 48 hours. I am an RN and was concerned as we had no car. In my resort info I read that there is a Dr service that makes room calls to the resorts. We called at 7:00 AM and at 9:45 there was a wonderful physician at our door to see Justin. He even brought common medications so we got the Amoxicillin on the spot. Can't say enough good things about him...I had never heard of this and thought it may be good to know
We would be happy to answer any questions!
