Went to Home Depot . . .

. . . and got my LIME GREEN Mickey's!!! Actually, they are "sonic boom" green Mickey's, but they are close enough!!!!! I also got pins and am cutting out the Mickey's and making name tags out of them!!!

So, anyone there from 1/6 - 1/14, PLEASE look for us! It will be me, my mom, and Josh and we'll all have on our sonic boom green pins!!!

I hope to meet some of you down there!!!!

We don't have a Home Depot They are building one and it was supposed to open before Christmas, but I drove past the other day and it doesn't look like it will open before my trip! No "sonic green" mickey's for me!

We'll be there the 10th-18th. I'm cutting them out and tying them to green ribbon, we'll be tying the to our backpack and camera bag, suitcase etc. I'll be with my dh, we'll be wearing the disney Happy Anniversary pins, and dh will have on the disney My first trip to WDW pin too! Maybe we'll cross paths.

I found out about these on these Boards!!! The Mickeys from Home Depot are actually Mickey outlines in different colors used as paint color samples. It's really cool because they come in sonic green (close to lime green) which is the official color of the DIS Boards!!! You can cut these little guys out, write on them, use them as luggage tags or pins or whatever. And, the best part, they're FREE!!!!!

I got several, put pins on the back of them with hot glue and wrote our names on the front. Hopefully other DISers will see them and say HI when we're down there!!

So go get your free Mickeys and get creative!!!!

I can't help but chuckle when I think of all the Home Depot paint department managers out there wondering where all the "sonic" mickey paint chips go when I can't imagine that they actually sell much of that color paint.

I thought about that as I was walking out with mine!!!

But, as we were going out the door, Josh said "mom, you didn't PAY for those!!" It took me about 15 minutes to explain why they were free. Then he said, "so, you're painting AGAIN?? But my room is already that color!!!" Then I had to come up with something as I realized he still doesn't know we're going and the name tags are part of the surprise!!! THAT was a close one!! Am I EVER going to make it to Monday night??????!!!!!

I got about 30 of them, the last time I visited Home Depot! My DH got them for me, and stuffed them in his shirt Pocket!

Is it just me, or did these used to be stickers?
My sister works part time at our local Home Depot, so I had her get me some last year when I went to WDW and I was planning on putting them on my luggage to make them easier to see, and also to wear on any DIS meets, but when I got them they weren't stickers....did they used to be stickers?

Hi Joshsmom! I think we talked about the green mickeys on the Pop Century on MLK thread!! haha I still need to get mine. Making them into name tags is a great idea!! i will definately be looking for you!! Im going to hang mine on my stroller, my new Mickey bag, and the kids bags too!! Im hoping to see SOMEone this trip!! I cant wait!! I wish the magic was beginning tomorrow and not in 11 days!!!!
