Lindsey,

This is even better than a trip report! It is almost like a personal diary that you are sharing with your friends. You have everything from bad days  to wanting to run away with a pirate pirate: !!! Your house is something out of a magazine and you write very fun "daily" reports!!

Your fans await your next installment!! popcorn::

Enchanted...

We decided to skip the fireworks because we had so much to squeeze into one night, but we couldn't avoid them because they were everywhere!

It was quite amazing and I had never seen anything like it! The fireworks started going off and we heard a loud bang! Then, the fireworks were in Fantasyland all around us! We were so impressed! We walked down to the Liberty Square area and the fireworks were lighting-up the entire Magic Kingdom! We just stood there in awe and amazement! The show was just as amazing behind the Castle! :wizard:

We made our way over to Frontierland because we wanted to scope out where we were going to sit for the parade, the highlight of the evening for me! We couldn't go to Frontierland without hitting Big Thunder Mountain Railroad! :scared1:

We found the perfect spot for the parade right in Frontierland on one of the porches and I wasn't going to lose this spot! We were pretty tired, so we decided to take a seat and get warmed up for the big parade! We got two hot chocolates and we also joined in with the CM's in a game of pass the ball! :bored:

I couldn't believe how empty the Magic Kingdom was, there wasn't even a large crowd for the parade, just a few people standing around in a straight line. I loved it! I was so happy because the crowds just ruin a parade for me most of the time. Us Wenches were the only ones on the small porch area and then we heard the music begin! :cheer2:

n25002324_31728162_6777.jpg

We had the perfect spot for all the parade because we made direct contact with everyone as soon as the parade came down our way and we were standing above the ground on the platform. I was loving every moment of this! :cloud9: The parade began with knights on horseback! The horses were so beautiful!

The first Princess to appear was Snow White with her handsome Snow Prince! Her carriage was covered in colorful jems and, of course, she was followed by her seven little friends!

n25002324_31728166_7884.jpg

Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip followed in a large gazebo dancing and singing, "Once Upon a Dream." I quickly recognized that Sleeping Beauty was my fellow UNC-Greensboro Alumni, who graduated the year before I did. She makes such a wonderful Princess Aurora! princess:

n25002324_31728167_8157.jpg

It was time for Cinderella's grand entrance! The Fairy Godmother led the way and they were on the most gorgeous parade float I have ever seen! It was huge and the deatils with the pumpkins was amazing!

n25002324_31728168_8447.jpg

n25002324_31728169_8725.jpg

Then, a large float made it's way down the road and I saw Belle & the Beast twirling around to "Beauty & the Beast," such a beautiful song!

n25002324_31728170_9014.jpg

Ariel and Prince Eric were following on an Under the Sea decorated float covered in sea shells and other items made of sand. It was so neat and Ariel was in her gorgeous sea foam green gown.

n25002324_31728171_9299.jpg

The finale for the Princesses' court was Aladdin and Jasmine making their way down the parade route on horseback to a "Whole New World." It was such a sight to see and this was by far the most beautiful parade I had ever seen at Walt Disney World! And...it wasn't over yet! princess:

Great parade photos! It looks like the knights may have stolen a horse from the headless horseman! ;)

Be there PIRATES in this parade, too?

Hi all!:wizard:

Well, the eye doctor appointment did not go well today at all. I have a type of sympton/illness that is caused by my contacts. I'm pretty much allergic to contacts! Isn't that awful!? I've been wearing them, since I was in middle school, so I don't understand why there would be an issue showing up now. It causes you to have swollen like pillows under your eye lids and I have them under both lids, but it is worse on the left one because that's the one bothering me. The doctor said there really isn't even a way to fix it and it'll still be there even a year from now! So, I just have to deal with an irritation, annoying, and painful eye forever!? :sad1:

He gave me eye drops, which are a steroid to put in twice a day, but he said I can't use those forever because they can eventually cause more harm. I'm going to try to not wear contacts for awhile, but I'll still have to wear them evey now and then. My glasses are broken and aren't a strong enough lens, so I need to go get some new ones. I also think it may have to do with me changing my contact brand. Uggghhhh...:headache:

Lindsey, is it possible that you could be allergic to the contact solution that you clean and store your lenses in?? I had the same problem about 4 years ago, and was also given a steroid eye drop to use to help clear up the problem. It turns out I was allergic to the same contact lens solution that I had been using since I was in high school! :confused3 I switched brands of contact lenses and started using a new solution after the treatment with the eye drops and have not had any problems since then. You could mention this to your doctor the next time you visit. :) It might be a long-shot, but its a possibility. :)

BEAUTIFUL parade photos! :goodvibes I just LOVE the parades, and I just LOVE those Princesses!! (but waiting on those Pirates! ARRRRR! pirate: )
Fantastic Trip report!! I feel like I'm there.:cloud9:

Hope the eye gets better. I also wear contacts/glasses. Contact problems are a pain. I'd try to keep my contacts out as much as I possibly could to let the eye rest. I don't know if you leave them in overnight, but that's not good if you do (my Mom used to work for an opthmalogist) so try to take them out at night. Also scope out the new hip frames for glasses! there are some COOL ones! and the COLORS are GREAT!

take care!

Good Morning!!

I have been enjoying your trip report and pictures. I am sorry to hear about your eyes and teeth. :grouphug:

Oh man you are really making me want to figure a way to go next year, that parade is beautiful, I would love to see that and I know my DD would be beside herself with all the princesses and their princes.

OMG, I nearly missed out on your new trippie. I'm all caught up now.

Firstly I just need to say how great your house is and how happy and relaxed you look now you've moved to Orlando. I wish you the best of luck finding a wonderful job hopefully in WDW. Being a travel agent here in the UK, I can recommend the industry. Just imaging booking hotel rooms for excited people, what a great way to earn a living.

Now to your trippie, once again it is fantastic! Big thumbs up :thumbsup2
I can't believe you found Flounder, he is one of my favourites so thank you for posting the pictures.

I will certainly be popping by to see what else happens on your trip

Lindsey I LOVE your TR.. your house is sooo cute... I loved it.. I want to go to the Pirate and Princess party so bad.. MAybe next year..

That parade looks like it was lots of fun! Lucky you that there was barely anyone there :)

I was researching my eye condition last night on the Internet and also found out that it is most likely the contact solution, and probably not the contacts. I did change my contact solution just a couple months before the problem began. I read that this is a pretty common problem too. I bought new solution today and new contacts. I am going to try them out once my eye heal and I hope that'll take care of it. I'm also going to try to wear them as little as possible at first. I have never slept in my contact and I've always cleaned them very well, so I'm hoping that'll take care of it! *fingers crossed* :thumbsup2

I actually went and got two pairs of glasses today! I needed to get them by May before my prescription was up, so I decided to go ahead and get them because I need my eyes to take a break from contacts. I got some pretty cute ones with little diamonds on the sides. I've always had pretty funky glasses and I got a pair of Rx sun glasses too! I got a pretty good deal, so I decided I needed a pair living here in the sunshine state! :goodvibes
