Wenches Party with the Pirates! Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirate named Jack Sparrow for me!

Ooooh, Jack! :) I bet they put him so high up on that float so that none of us try to get too close! Very cool that he posed for you!

And I like how they put the red velvet on the castle float! A nifty way of making a "new" float without doing anything permanant to it.

Beautiful pictures of a beautiful parade Lindsey.
Wow, that Captain Jack is spot on!!!!!!!! What wonderful moments you shared with him.
I hope there's more............

Oh yeah, that's what I'm talking about! The princess and princes were awesome. But since I have 2 boys we're all about the pirates! Love the pirates. Was that the same float from the MNSSHP? I wish they had it in every parade. That is so awesome that Capt. Jack posed for you, too cool!pirate: I also have to say the relationship you have with your mom is so special. That was how I was with my mom, unfortunately she passed away when I was 19 so I never got to do the grown up fun stuff with her. Cherish your mom and that special bond you have with her!

Awww...you're going to get me all teary-eyed.

Yes, that is the same float from MNSSHP, which I why I knew Jack was on his way! :goodvibes I am hoping they do more with him too because I hate that the only next time to see him during a parade will be for MNSSHP! I really want to go to one of the last Pirate & Princess Parties! It was such a blast! I am hoping they do it again next year or come-up with another clever idea very soon!

Oh my goodness Lindsey! The luck you had w/ Captain Jack that night was amazing! I cannot believe he blew kisses to you and posed for a picture  How lucky of you! The parade looks like it was the best WDW parade ever!

I love your house too :goodvibes All the little Disney touches are just perfect!

I know! My Mom & I were on :cloud9: with all the wonderful Jack encounters! Oh, and I'm not done yet! ;) :woohoo:

Oh, you lucky, lucky girl!!! In the second Jack picture it looks like he is blowing you a kiss.

And Tink - my favorite! She looks like a little bit of a thing.

Thanks for sharing all of your experiences with us! You rock!!

I hope this isn't he end of the TR.

It does look like that! Well, he was doing a lot of motioning and pointing! Boy, was I loving it! :cloud9: His reaction to me blowing him a kiss was just hilarious! Totally Jack! :rotfl:

Oh, and it's not over! ;)

I have this problem all the time from wearing contacts and yes my left eye is much worse for some reason. Do you wear colored contacts? I do and my I used to work for and Optometrist and he said the colored opaque lenses are not as smooth on your eye and are more irritating. Also I was diagnosed with severe dry eyes. Usually if I give my eyes a break and wear glasses for a few days I'm ok. I hate glasses though so I might consider Lasik in the next year. Hope your eyes feel better soon.

I'm glad you told me this because I have worn colored contacts on and off for the past couple of years. All depends on my mood. :) I bought clear ones before my wedding and then switched back and forth. That may have a lot to do with it. I did just buy new clear and plain contacts, so I'm hoping that does the trick! :thumbsup2

Oh, and that Mother/Daughter trip sounds like a fantastic idea! I don't think she can turn that down! :goodvibes

I thought the same thing about Jack! :goodvibes It's just so hard to see him on that darn thing! We totally missed him at MNSSHP! I can't believe I was able to get his attention! :woohoo: He made all that effort to stay to the back of the float just for me and for that wonderful picture!

Beautiful pictures of a beautiful parade Lindsey.

Oh yes, there is more! :wizard:

And you know what that means...

More Jack Sparrow!

Hi all!

Hope you are all going to have a wonderful weekend! DH is back in town, so we have a few errands to run tomorrow and we may spend the evening at City Walk. My family will be arriving Sunday afternoon when DH is leaving town. I am so excited to see them! My brother has a lot planned!

My Dad's 60th birthday is tomorrow! :bday: We are going to celebrate it on Monday at Disney World, of course! We have reservations at the Flying Fish Cafe at The Boardwalk. I ordered him a cake yesterday to be brought out after our meal, so it'll be a big surprise for him! :goodvibes I also got him the perfect gift! I got him a shirt from The World of Disney Store that says, "Where You Can Be Grumpy All Day," and it has a picture of Grumpy on the back! :rotfl2: So perfect! I love it! :rotfl:

We also have reservations at Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for later in the week. We're letting my brother pick out all the Disney places he wants to eat at! I think we are also going to check out Cap 'n' Jacks at Downtown Disney. My brother also wants to go to Islands of Adventure, so we are going to spend a day there together! He's holding off on Disney for the big family trip this summer! :woohoo:

So, I'm not sure how my schedule will be for getting on The DIS, so I hope I can make time! The Trippie is not over yet! :) It's been hectic here, so I haven't had much time to really sit down at the computer.

Okay, and I'm being "hush, hush" about this and I don't want to post too much about it here, but I did make it to the Casting Center yesterday. It was quite an overwhelming experience for me. I couldn't believe I was really there and the building as just gorgeous! Disney murals line the walls and there were gold character statues. I was in awe and just had to stare at the walls before I could even approach the front desk.

I don't want to write on here about a lot of the private details, but there is a process where you watch a 10-minute introduction video. I was literally sitting in the theatre with tears welling up in my ears hearing Walt Disney speak about his dream. I couldn't believe that my dreams were coming true and I was there.

The interview went quite well and I was able to apply for a position that is just what I want! I have a second interview next week with the department I would be working for and I am keeping my fingers crossed that I get it! This would be an amazing job and lead me down the road of where I want to eventually be! I'll post more later, but for now, I will have to leave it at that. :wizard:

Oh, and the best part was discussing how I will cover my tattoos! I enjoyed that conversation! :rotfl2: I did tell them I had a Tinker Bell tattoo! They were pretty impressed with that! :rotfl:

Have a magical weekend everyone!

Oooh, congrats on the interview!!! I'm tempted to do just that this January! Let us know how things go!

I wish I took pictures, but I thought they may not allow that. Plus, I didn't want to make a bad impression before an interview. I may have to make another trip over there some time to see if I can take a few pictures of the outside hallway. :) I'll give you this small hint, not all of the Disney jobs involve second interviews. ;)
Lindsey,

I'm so excited for you. When you spoke about your eyes welling up about Walt's Dream I got a little choked up myself. I'm crossing all my toes (I need my fingers to type to tell you that your latest installment was fantastic! I can't believe you had Captain jack pose for you!!!!)

Awww...that's so sweet! :goodvibes It was just something about the music and then hearing Walt speak. :) Thank you so much! Keep them crossed until Tuesday!

Thanks for the luck and pixie dust everyone! :shamrock: pixiedust:

I sure do need it! Maybe it'll help calm my nerves. :)

You are all the best! :grouphug:

Hi Lindsey,

I've been keeping up with your TR, I really enjoyed the parade photos and as other posters have said how lucky you are to have gotten Capt. Jack to pose for you!

Also sending out positive thoughts for the 2nd interview Tuesday. I hope you get the job!!:thumbsup2

Congrats on your interview! Sending some pixiedust: your way! You will be a terrific CM!!!!
