WELL written article!

My CRAZY lifestyle consists of us raising a 14 year old, putting her through school, braces, grocery shopping, paying the mortgage, paying taxes, planning our Disney trip, cleaning the house, working every day...yeah, crazy right? The only difference between us and most of our straight friends, is I sleep with another woman. That's it. Nothing crazy. And as for agenda? Did we miss something at the GAY MEETINGS? I mean, remind me again, when I took my secret oath, as a gay woman, I'm supposed to be doing what?? Agenda? Nobody told us that. Sorry to burst that bubble, there are NO meetings, NO agenda, no evil plans against OUR children. Nope, nothing as exciting as that. Just honest, tax paying Americans, trying to live the dream.

You obviously havent read your copy of the Gay Agenda!

Congratulations on becoming gay. We're excited to have you on-board! In addition to being publicly ridiculed and scrutinized by the government, you can also obtain many fabulous prizes.

Because we cannot reproduce, we have to recruit. (Please refer to the Gay Handbook for ideas on how to recruit, however, kidnapping is discouraged). You are expected to recruit one person every six months. If you go over your one-person every six month quota you will receive one or more of the following.

1-2 People: Season One of The L Word or Queer as Folk

2-4 People: Home Computer (Desktop or laptop) or DVD/VCR Combo (Chat Room Ready!)

4-6 People: 20" Flat screen television or Home Theater Sound System

6-8 People: Two round trip tickets to anywhere in the continental U.S., plus two tickets to any Cher concert

10+ People: Your very own pool boy/girl for 6 months (If you do not have a pool, a lawn boy/girl can be substituted

Please keep in mind, people over the age of 45 do not count. Also, people under 18 have double points. Have fun recruiting!

My best, best, best friend is gay and I think he has a gay lifestyle. I believe I am his only straight friend. He always goes to gaydays at WDW. He participates in Gay Pride activities. He spends holidays at friends houses who are always gay - Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Year's Eve, Chinese New Years, Labor Day.

He unfortuntely is not happy with who he is. I think he hides in a gay lifestyle rather than being gay in a more diverse lifestyle.

Thanks for the link.

My life is just as exciting. Tonight I stayed late at work because it's quarter end. DP is at Irish Dance with DD. DS is in the van with DP doing his home work.

I'll go home, help finish homework, help with showers, tuck kids in and then maybe do some dishes and run a load of laundry. And don't forget walking the dog.

Woo...Hoo:cool1:

(and I wouldn't have it any other way, unless I could be at WDW right now)

I have yet to receive any of such "prizes" after having converted others!!!!!

I'm banking my points for a kitchenaid mixer! :thumbsup2

After the past 15 years, I should have enough banked points for a full time Pool boy.

*ahem*

Anyhoo, speaking of banked points, I want a Disney credit card! Chase is not cooperating.

One of the worst credit cards ever! Seriously! Dont bother.....

Really? Why is it so bad? I have an Amazon Chase card, which they gave me with no problem. But the Disney Chase card, they last denied me due to an 8 year old medical bill that went to collection, that has been paid. I mean seriously, i'm in the 800 scores, own a home, have perfect credit other than that ONE thing.......frustrating.

We have 2 Chase Disney Reward cards.

Mine has almost double the limit of DH's card, but the balance we have on it is mostly those locked in balance transfers with low APRs so we don't use my card to purchase.

DH's card is paid off, but we are planning to use it for the trip.

I am PETRIFIED that Chase will do something squirrelly to his credit line either just before we leave or in the middle of the trip. :scared: I can not tell you how many posts I have read about Chase slashing credit lines with no warning. We will have to bring another card with us to make sure we don't get caught short if they do something wonky.

I was thinking about trading in my car because Honda has 1.9% APR on new Accords right now, but I am afraid to do ANYTHING that will alter our credit. Chase is sort of holding us "hostage" because we don't trust them not to cut DH's credit line. One we get back they can do whatever, but I want to be able to use that card on vacation!

We want to use that card because 1) it has the lowest purchase APR 2) it earns reward dollars. We will carry a bit of a balance for a couple of months after the trip so it makes sense to use the one with the lowest APR.

I have a nice sized BofA Elite card, which I use for everything. Everything else is paid off. I get points on the BofA card to use for purchases, but haven't yet. Just racking up points. I've almost paid it down a lot, then now bought our park tickets (600) and finsihed paying the hotel (223), so now it's charged back up again, but by the time we leave, it should be paid down another 1300, so we'll be good to go. But I always take a spare paid off card with us for back up. You just never know.

Yep. Ditto. Worst card we've got... and aren't planning on using it much longer.

Can you tell me more specifically what makes them a bad card? After all this talk today.......guess what I got in the mail? New card with a huge limit. I totally didn't expect to get one at all, since they pull from Experian and they're my lowest of the 3 scores and the only one of the three that has ONE bad item on it. Which I can't seem to get removed.

I giggled.

After I re-read that, I giggled too. We're five years old....... :rotfl:
