well we now have three black cats!

This poor guy was a stray in our neighborhood all summer, but after $400 in vet bills he now belongs to us. He's our third black cat. Emma and Lily really don't appreciate him, but at least there haven't been any cat fights, thank god.

It's funny, but everything comes full circle. When I was little kid my parents gave away an all black stray cat that we had been feeding to a "farm" aka a shelter. I guess I never got over it. lol.

I never thought in a million years that I would own three cats. My husband didn't really want the second cat, three years ago, but then he must have felt that this guy really needed a family, because my DH actually said we should take him in. I was a little surprised to say the least.

The two we already have do like to stare out the front door while we hand out candy. I'll be curious to see what Jynx does. It's funny but he has no interest in going outside. My dad says, do you blame him after having to dodge coyote's all summer.

Wow, Jynx looks so much like MY black cat! Mine even has the little tuft of white hair, and white down around her tummy too, but she's a bit chunkier than your kitty. She is strictly an indoor kitty. But I also have a black outdoor kitty, that just appeared in my son's garage one day. His wife started feeding it, so it stuck around (I actually think it might have been dropped off at the driveway) but a few months later my son and his wife separated and he said he wasn't going to continue feeding it. So, I took over the job so she's now MY kitty. Plus my Mom has a black indoor kitty as well!

Awwwwwwwww how sweet!!! What a great thing to give Jynx a home, and what a killer name for a black cat! I love it!! When DD21 moved out she took her black cat with her, I miss that Stormie girl something fierce!

Very cute kitties! Jynx, love the name, is espcially adorable! I'm sure he will love you a lot for rescuing him! I love black and white kitties the most, but we lost our last black and white last year so now we just have the 2 maine coons. We had 3 cats from 1992-2008. I would like another cat but right now with the 2 young dogs/puppies it's just not the right time.

I could have two more for you! I have to say I have 10 cats and none of them are black. I have never been a fan of black cats, but your's are beautiful. We fostered a litter and her momma two months ago and the black ones have not been adopted yet. The Petstore has a hard time with adoptions of black cats. (and then there is the whole month of October they won't even adopt them out because people sacrifice them...sick people)

Jynx, Lily, and Emma are super cute!! We miss our black cat, Woody, terribly. He passed away last spring after being with us almost 17 years. He was the best kitty we ever had. Good for you, taking in Jynx- I'm sure she really appreciates it!

We have 3 cats, too- it makes for a lively household! No blackies right now- a big, blonde flamepoint Siamese/Tabby mix boy, a solid Russian Blue colored girl, and a longhaired sealpoint Siamese girl. They are all beautiful, but a nice black cat would look good in the mix, too. Alas, DH says 3 cats are more than enough.

SO CUTE!!! We have 3 cats in our household..and one black one, Molly ..the other 2 were adopted from our vet/shelter and they are grey and grey and striped..Molly did not take too kindly to them at first, but now I think she really likes the company..and kitties to swat and hiss at on occasion
