After last week's delay and almost another one today (the receptionist forgot to bring Kirk's retainer over from their Philly office!! 
), the top braces are off!! 
His teeth look so nice! He is having a bit of trouble getting used to the retainer but aside from that, all is well. 
The orthodontist also gave him a bottle of Colgate's Simply White teeth whitening gel. He used the White Stripes I bought for him but he said they burn. 
My neighbor's daughter said the same thing!
I have to admit, when they called me within an hour of Kirk's appointment to tell me they had to reschedule, I lost it!
I was understanding last week when they told me that the retainer hadn't been delivered. But this time! I was so upset at the girl's attitude about the whole thing ("I'm sorry but there's nothing I can do.............." - she was the one who forgot to bring it!
) that I lost my temper. The orthodonist must of gotten wind of what happened (or he just heard me ranting in the phone! 
) and within 15 min., the girl was again on the phone, telling me that the dentist wanted me to be happy and he was sending her over to the other office to bring it back with her. His 1 pm appointment was rescheduled for 3 pm.
Guess I can be convincing when push comes to shove! (although I did give myself a doosey of a migraine!!
