Why did they not let you in?

I never got a satisfactory answer. They scanned my boarding pass and redirected me to the regular lines. When I protested and pointed out the Pre-Check even on the BP, they said they don't care and leave or they'll have me removed from the airport entirely. The second time it happened I didn't push...

I’m not sure 9am gives you enough time to drive to airport and make it through security for your 11:20 flight. Remember you can not board up to 11:20. Usually close boarding 15 min before take off time. My longest waits in security lines have always been in Orlando.

I travel frequently and am aware boarding starts 40 - 30 minutes prior and closes early. I always leave Disney approx 2.5 hours ahead of flight and never had an issue, I even have time to run into a shop or two You are absolutely correct that MCO has THE LONGEST security lines. They are awful. Not sure how they are post Covid. Have you been recently that you feel its worse than before? If so, then I will cancel Kona for sure.

Im going to Disney for 1 night. Wasnt in my original plan, but extended our FL trip one day and decided to go to MK. It was my lucky day when they announced Boo Bash dates and one fell the very night we'll be there!

So...today is my "60". I needed 3 ressies. We'll be staying at the Contemporary and need to check out by 9am to head to the airport

I wanted

Crystal Palace breakfast
The Plaza 4pm dinner
Chef Mickeys breakfast (7:30ish) or the Wave

I got...

Ohana breakfast
The Plaza 5:10 (will have to rush to get back to hotel to change for Boo Bash)
Kona breakfast

No availability at the Contemp for breakfast on departure day I then tried to switch to the Poly, but no availability for the one night we'll be there.

This is strange to me as Im very used to getting everything I want on my 180+10 Spoiled me is disappointed, but will get over it...............eventually

I know how you feel. Did reservations yesterday. I couldn’t get Sci Fi, Topolinos breakfast, or Sebastian’s for a time we wanted. Sci Fi never had anything available. I got up at 5:50 ready to go. So disappointed!

Keep checking on The Plaza and Chef Mickeys, use a reservation finder, I've had great luck getting much harder to come by ADRs than The Plaza. We are usually late planners and only decide to go to WDW max, maybe 30ish days out so we are always late to the game on ADRs and just gotta keep checking and leverage using an ADR finder like mouse dining or touring plans.

We are usually late planners and only decide to go to WDW max, maybe 30ish days out so we are always late to the game on ADRs and just gotta keep checking and leverage using an ADR finder like mouse dining or touring plans.

Yes, Im signed up with Mouse Dining, but only got one Email for 9:50pm dinner! (Beaches and Cream on the day we arrive to FL, but wont be staying at Disney resort. We are going to FL for the week to visit colleges. I dont really care if we get it or not. Just thought Id surprise my daughter, as she loves that restaurant and we dont need park admission.)

DH and I flew on Southwest out of MCO in April and he flew again in June. I have never seen such chaos as there was at the Southwest check-in counter. It seems that SW is using the self-check-in kiosks, but there are no organized lines for anything. People just pack up in a crazy horde to get their boarding passes, luggage tags, etc. It's a sea of people. If SW hadn't opened in a different airline's empty space as we were walking by, I'm not sure we'd have made our flight. When DH flew in June, he took just a carryon so he could avoid the SW counter- and was glad he did. Security wasn't any better. In fact, they opened the pre-check line to everyone because there were so many people to clear through security. I've never seen such a mess, or such a madhouse!
(Timing-wise, I always make sure we will be IN the terminal 2 hours before boarding, with the car already returned.)
