She's going to join the national guard.
All she has to worry about is the physical. She has a generous behind and that might be too much for the scales. The recruiter didn't seem all that worried, but we'll just have to see.
She will take care of the physical on tuesday and the test on wednesday with the swearing in ceremony.

This momma is worried for her girl, but at this point, what can I do but support her.

Actually, I will have a pic of her in the next day or so. She's beautiful.
I had to upgrade my worldzone. I forgot why I had Plus in the first place. lol

god bless her , and thank her from those of us who admire the ones that serve:)

 to you, Laurie. I hope she makes you proud.....:D

She already does. :) Proud, absolutely, sometimes angry, frustrated, sad, worried, and downright furious, but proud.

Froggy, my first reaction is that she's only going to be in the national guard, but I realized that's not right. I will tell her what you said. :)

I'll tell you what you can do ... you can go buy some marijuana and sit down and smoke it with her, then she won't pass the physical for sure. ;) :p

I don't know what to say Laurie, except that you know she will always be in my prayers and in my heart. You know how I feel about things in the world today, and you know I would never do anything except support her in love and prayers. And the pot thing if she wanted. ;) :p

{{{{Hugs}}}} for you momma. And lots of love and {{{Hugs}}} for Bri.

Hey, that's an idea. :hyper:

I just want to hug her and keep her safe. But she's never allowed that for long.
She's the kind of girl that would love to be a pilot, but I threatened to kidnap her if she did that.

She wants to bungy jump, sky dive, she thinks falling off horses is funny. She likes having muscles and being strong. When she was karate, she liked being able to beat the you know what out of boys.
I know I'm just convincing myself here, but it's either that or cry.

Hey! Dubyah was a pilot! Maybe she can be President one day! :bounce: Maybe she can ........ wait. Let's get off that subject reaaaaaaaaal quick! :teeth: :earseek:

I love that she loves having muscles and loves to be strong, Laurie. I just love that, I think it's very cool. Bungy jumping and sky diving is cool too! I would never bungy jump, but I've always wanted to try sky diving - tandem of course, too much of a sissy to do it by myself -- tandem and wearing Depends. LOL!

I can imagine how worried you are. I admire her courage Laurie. She is strong. She is NO dummy, and she knows what's going on in the world today, so to do what she is doing is very brave. I hope she has a wonderful experience, one that she derives great satisfaction from. I think all the things you've mentioned about her make her strong and we know she has a good head on her shoulders, so she'll be okay. {{{Hugs}}} I just hate the gun thing. :crazy2:

Oh forget this, Bri doesn't need the marijuana, we do! LOL! :teeth:

I need something, that's for sure.

LOL! I can imagine, Lauri.

Instead of marijuana, how about chocolate, tons and tons of rich, creamy milk chocolate.

Or Bailey's? Tons and tons of rich, creamy Bailey's?

That way I don't have to go to jail for trying to buy either of those for you. ;) :p

I hope the best for her.

As for the physical, I don't think its that bad. If my sister can get back in the National Guard after having three kids.. she should be ok.

If they let my sister back in, they will let a younger stronger woman in without problems.

Laurie, GOD Bless your DD. I have a neice that joined the National Guard two years ago and she's in Iraq now. I sure hope that's what your DD wants.

I'd be pushing the chocolates too!;)

That's great, Laurie, Bri will do well, she is a smart young lady. I wish her well, you too, and extend a thank you also, both to her, and all who serve, so very commendable. My best.

:grouphug: Don't worry about the physical, they will make sure she gets in!! Give her our good wishes!!

{{HUGS}} for you and Best Wishes for your DD. You've raised her well and I have no doubt that she has a good head (albeit a strong one ;) ) on her shoulders.:D

This may be a dumb question, but is the national guard duty a four year commitment also?

Maggie, I knew there was a reason I liked you. :teeth:

Kitty, what does your neice do?

Pooh, for college, it's 6 years.

Congrats to Bri! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc And   to you, Laurie. I'm sure she'll pass her physical without a problem.

Here's a couple senior pics.

I somehow lost the ability to edit my pictures, so if someone could downsize these I'd appreciate it.
