why!?!? what's wrong with Pirates?!? i hope that rumor of putting Jack Sparrow in there is still just a rumor and not actually going to happen. man, if it ain't broke don't fix it, that's my theory!

DD and I were there for MNSSHP the weekend of 10/6-10/9 and on Sunday we got stuck for 45 minutes inPOTC. We were disappointed, but I have to say DD will love the addition of the captain. pirate: He's her favorite. She was dressed as a she pirate for MNSSHP!

Maybe it's time for a rehab.

How can they close a major ride during PEAK season??? :furious:

I know how disappointing it is to have your favorite ride closed while you are there. This has happened to me more than once. But if they did all of the refurb during off peak, there would nothing to ride certain times of year. I just try to tell myself that I'd rather miss something once in a while than have all of the rides look rundown.

I can't beleive it! My brother is going with me May 2- May 10th. His first trip in 27 years! Although I am overwhelmingly depressed about this. :sad1: I guess it is just another excuse (to add to my already long list) why I need to go back! :woohoo:

I love POC, but I think what disappoints me the most is that attraction is a big draw and the lines are usually long during peak season for this attraction. What will happen now is the people who would have rode POC will now have to ride something else; which, in turn increases the lines and wait times at other attractions in the MK. So for example, instead of only waiting 45 minutes in the stand-by line for Buzz, you may now have to wait 55 minutes.

Can't believe they are taking one of the most popular rides down during peak season.

Can't believe they are taking one of the most popular rides down during peak season.

It happens at Disneyland all the time. They can't close all the rides during the slow season. It is due to re-open July 7th so they are only missing half of the peak season and I wouldn't be surprised if they have a soft opening 2-3 weeks before that.

We won't be back until the end of August, we'll get to see it. Hopefully as a family, DD (4) didn't like it last year but at 3 loved it and had to do it several times. If not as a family we'll have to take turns as dh and I will want to ride.
