....she's not opposed to getting into DVC!!

Woo hoo! :Pinkbounc

Now, we just have to hunker down and pay off a couple of bills before she's willing to make the commitment. Probably a couple of months away. But, I've also prepared her so that in case we find a really good deal, that we might be able to throw an offer out there.

But, this is such a huge step for us! Pretty soon ya'll will be saying those magic words to us....welcome home!

Can't wait! :bounce:

Funny, most threads like this are DW's trying to convince DH.

Here's hope'n you hear those words soon.

I know...isn't that funny. I always get that. I'm such a Disney fan that I think I turn my DW into a non-Disney fan.

Thanks for your good thoughts!:D

Great news Arny - can't wait to say those magic words to you! Had a lot of fun in chat last night with you!

Well, we can't say Welcome Home yet, but I can see your car coming down the lane now! :)

Congrats Arny vee

I am the husband who wanted DVC also but DW couldnt see it for awhile. Like my DW, yours will probably come around, especially after that 1st trip home. My DW now spends more time on these boards than I do. Im so proud of her, she has come a long way in such a short time.

Hope to be welcoming yall home real soon!!

Jimmy

Good for you ArnyVee. I fretted for months over how to breach this subject to my wife in 2000. And when I first got the courage to bring it up, she immediately agree with a "sure, let's do it". I worried over nothing.

Way to go SneakyVee!!!

P.S. Does she have a home resort preference?

Well, we haven't decided on a home preference. But, the fact that she's very economically wise will almost definitely play a role in deciding.

Personally, I feel that she'll go with either OKW (quieter, out of the way for the baby) or BWV/BCV (proximity to Epcot, her favorite park). But, either way that still means that we'll be DVC members, so I don't mind! :p

I think that we are still going to start out with a small contract (approx 80 points or so) and then add-on after a year or two. But, we'll get into the details later. For now, this makes me wanna....:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: from happiness.

Jimmy, your story is definitely along the same lines as what is going on with me now. I would imagine that the first trip (hopefully a 1-BR at OKW) will solidify our decision to purchase into DVC and she'll want to add more points for the future. We have a trip tentatively scheduled for Sept/Oct. So, I'm trying to have us set everything up before so that she sees that we wouldn't want to spend money on renting to stay at WDW when we can actually put those funds towards the DVC purchase.

I'd love for my wife to get involved with the boards, that would be fun as well.

Hope to be welcomed home soon! :p

I have the same situation - DH here discussing and getting DW to agree - she did and we are down to home resort choice only and points (but we can figure points out with all the awesome apps out there)....

But I HAD TO BRIBE HER ;)

I had to agree with twisted arm that we would go down to Florida every March break until 2042 LOL and do WDW one year, maybe VB the next year and stay at my parent's condo in Fort Lauderdale on either end of the WDW/VB trips - oh my god stop hunny your are just killing me - LOL

ArnyVee -

I swear, your wife better watch out. If my husband didn't love to go to Disney every bit as much as I did, I'd marry you! ;)

Well, it's unavoidable. I mean, a guy lovin' Disney is like a woman's dream, isn't it? LOL

Plus, I'm suave, smooth, and downright irresistable. Wait, did I mention that I was humble? :p

You should have her contact me since we live in the same vicinity. It was the best convincing of my life to my DH. I basically showed him the way....the way straight to DVC!

We are in love with our investment.....Good Luck!

Hee, hee...

Joc, where do you find all of these funny pics and moving gifs?

Too funny!

My DH HAD to pass the "Disney test" before I married him. Had he hated Disney I would have still been looking. In fact, Disney was what attracted us together, in part. I am one of the lowest maintence people on the planet, but when it comes to Disney I'm psycho. I guess we all have our passions in life. But lucky for both of us, he loves Disney. In fact I would like to stay for a week at HH or VB and he always wants on property, the whole shabang.

Arne-decide quick, it's gonna kill ya till you become one of us. LOL!
