Three Things...Gratitude Thread

I'm still toying with the idea of a scale that does more than whole pounds. I've spent most of my life being a bit too emotional about the scale and I'm trying to find a happy place with it right now. Ounces could potentially help me on days when progress feels too slow but will I find myself obsessing over the smaller figures? It's quite possible with my history.

YES on the earrings gratitude! Gold is really my only safe bet but I can sometimes handle some higher quality silver. I have some friends who think I'm an oddball for not being able to just wear whatever in my ears.
I know how you feel, lately I've felt so obsessed with the numbers on the scale and getting incredibly frustrated when they don't go the way I want. As you say, smaller figures are great when they're at least going down and showing progress, but I speaking from experience they can definitely become an obsession.

And you're definitely not the only oddball when it comes to jewellery 😊 I envy those that can buy all the fun earrings from normal shops that aren't proper metal!

Tiny promotional stickers that are found on banana 🍌 🍌 🍌 that are advertising something Disney. I put them in my Bible along with other stickers of my life on the note/blank study pages...Stitch this week...glad that I am not a fan...a lot of🍌🍌🍌🍌to eat

Miniature versions of just about anything. I have a tiny old-fashioned car that I got in a Museum of Miniatures when I was a kid. I loved that place, especially the dollhouse!

My tiny Christmas tree ornaments. I love putting them at the top. My DGD used to love playing with the miniature Mickey and Minnie.

I break up my dark chocolate into tiny pieces so I can control how much I eat. I have learned to enjoy small portions and to try to eat them slowly.

1. My Car - it's by far the biggest car I've ever owned and looks and feels like I'm driving a tank. But I love how comfortable and spacious it is, and how quick it is despite its size. And for how cheap it is to run when charging at home.

2. My large Tripp suitcase - let's me take a ridiculous amount of clothes on holiday and also let's me fit in far too many souvenirs to bring home. Although at times it doesnt feel big enough!

3. WDW - obviously one of my fave places, especially with the size and amount of things to do.

As the sunset limited/eagle heads east out of dark Union station LA to the 3:10am arrival to Yuma... there are three large experiences that that I am grateful..

The Salton sea...can only see it when the moon 🌚 🌚 is full. It was a frequent weekend fishing trip for my dad and I and his friends. Sand, warm water, and fishing in the darkness 1960s.now 65 years later I take a nap in the darkness of the window as we have left the bright light of the Coachella valley.

Chevron gas station sign really large neon sign ☢️ ☢️ ☢️ it's a indicator that you are safe now.. having passed thru the sand dunes where George Lucas discovered that large monster that he cast for the beginning scene of return of the Jedi. The monster is along our tracks... the neon sign on the freeway the train is about to parallel

Large casino... out in the middle of nowhere sand dunes that May very well be the only casino that has 3 borders.. California Arizona and Mexico. It's large neon sign and complex lights indicates that it's time to use the restroom, warm up the 3:00 AM muscles. And get ready to depart the train on to the smallest rural passenger platform on Amtrak West Coast... nothing there but concrete and rattlesnakes 🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍

Extra Large Dog Breeds - OK, I don't own any. My girl is only about 75 pounds, but on my wish list are things like a Great Pyrenees, Newfoundland, and Bernese Mountain Dog.

Full Sized Pickup Trucks - OK, we don't have super duty ones but we still have two full sized ones with crew cabs and decent sized beds. Mind you, I have a decent sized SUV but it's got nothing on the amount of "stuff" we can take in the trucks.

National Parks - Not all of them are huge (like Gateway Arch- which was silly to turn into a NP in the first place), but many of them are comprised of massive swaths of protected land. Seven of the top 10 largest are in Alaska, but if you're stuck in the lower 48, Yellowstone, Death Valley, and Everglades are also in the top 10 largest. These places really give you some perspective on wilderness and massive wide open spaces.
