...so there is an openning if someone wants it.

There are a couple of things you need to know before joining. There are strict requirements on how much you must participate, both in the numbers of days per week and the number of searches you must do each time. If you do not meet the quota, you will be kicked out of the program. Also, it is not a "rewards" program, it is an "awards" program, so all you "earn" is the chance to be in a drawing for Disney passes. I have limited time, and did not feel it was worth all the effort just for a small chance to win something, but if you have time and feel lucky, go for it! I do wish Kris good luck with the site and hope it works out for everyone.:D

I havn't dropped out yet, but probably will. The biggest thing that has thrown me off so far is what she said about the searches, that they expect you to search for new advertisers for their site.

For one, I wouldn't know where to to start and when I'm spending my time on the web its for ME.

I'm sorry to say that I feel the same way. I really liked this program, but all of the sudden, it feels too time consuming. I haven't really had the time to look over the whole site, I too have limited amount of time on a computer a day. But I do have to say to Kris that the new site does look fantastic and I hope that things go well for the program. Being a full time student and a part time worker, I feel that the program is now too time consuming. Sorry - I will still do it, but cannot guarantee that it will be everyday.

P.S. - what happens if you are away for a holiday for a couple of weeks and are unable to do the program?? What happens - can you inform Kris, or will you get "kicked out" for not participating????

Well, the following is my opinion and mine only.

I stopped doing it also. I am of the type that I like to know ahead of time what I am working for. For instance with Milesource= RFC, Mypoints= Webcerts or Gas Cards, Searchcactus= cash, Giant Rewards= Webcerts etc.... I don't like not having control over what I will get. I also don't like having to inform anyone if I won't be doing a program for a while. I'm not a child, and I don't really need to be answering to anyone online.

Now, this part, as I said above, is just my opinion. When I am having a bad day with a program, I want to be able to come to this website and say that I am having a horrible day with the program. I want to be able to say that it is the worst program that I have ever done. I want to say that I hate it. Whatever, but I want to be able to say it without 20 minutes later a post from the owner of the site throwing up a post about how hard they are trying. And I also don't want to click onto the chat group and see the owner of the site complaining about the posts that are made. Like I said, that's just my opinion.

I asked her if you are required to do it 5 out of every 7 days and she said that it was not mandatory but it would help make the program successful. I know at one point it was going to be mandatory but not now. This is directly from her. I am not doing very many rewards programs anymore, just burned out on it and like most others don't have all day to click on the computer. But I am going to try to do this one and hopefully it will grow to be what we all want it to be.

I've been thinking that I might have to drop out, too. It sounds like it's going to take an awful lot of time. Unfortunately, I just don't have enough hours in a day to spend doing all the rewards programs I'd like. It was different when you would have had a chance to get something every month, but to spend all that time for a small chance to win a pass just isn't practical for me. Good luck to those that stick with it.

That is too bad that this program is like this, but I agree very much with dmslush as far as knowing what you are working for...I never joined the Disney Awards program and was bummed out that I couldn't get in on it later, but I guess now I am relieved...I hope that you all didn't spend too much time with it now that you have dropped it! :(

I am also not continuing. Mainly because Park Hoppers aren't that important to me. I'm leaving for WDW on Tues, and after that I don't forsee a return to WDW for about 3 years. I signed up more for the chance of winning Disney videos, Disney Dollars and the other smaller prizes that were listed as possible prizes at the beginning of the sign-up period that I could use. I thought my odds at winning that stuff periodically were reasonable, considering the number of participants. With park hoppers costing more, meaning fewer winners and a less chance I could win anything gives me a small reason to participate.

...this also is just MY opinion...

I also have quit the program. I can't see doing 22 searches a day and having a small possibility that I may win a park hopper pass, and if I actually did, not to get it for possibly 3 months. I don't mind spending time on something but I would like to be rewarded for my time.

dmslush:I can't agree more with you about your second paragraph of your post. This board is for everyone and their opinions and thoughts. It is also to help other posters. I wouldn't have been able to get through my beenz stint without all of you posting links you have found or hidden beenz or trivia answers! Ever since this program started, I have found myself not feeling comfortable about posting anything remotely concerning Disney Awards because people have been shot down for expressing their concerns over this program, but somehow, all other programs are fair game?

I hope everyone involved in this program gets rewarded and I wish them all luck but it's definitely not for me.
