Well... did Tim and Kat persuade you to tune in to ABC next year???

I do not watch much TV. But I certainly do not watch ones that are overly political - slanted to only one side. That is why I cancelled Netflix in the fall after being a customer since the inception.
....so the show could be a Sanford and Son mold...as the 2 stars are opposite of each other in observation of their last TV shows

I really liked Home Improvement, but didn't get into Last Man Standing. Didn't the latter show bounce around to different networks?

I'll give this new one a try.

I thought Matlock was going to be the story of his grand-daughter following in his footsteps. Mostly it seems like they are just trying to latch onto the popularity of that prior show and this new version has nothing to do with him. The fact the lead character has this phony persona and is simply working at that law office to uncover evidence related to her daughter's drug use seems like it will run out of steam after awhile. Elsbeth has been mostly good but generally following the 'quirky detective' types which now seem popular.

Kathy Bates fan is a draw....I was thinking that she would solve other problems like her daughter... but you are right current theme will run out of steam .... have you watched Columbo?

I enjoy Tim Allen so will tune in to see how it goes. Home Improvement was the highlight of his sitcoms, Last Man Standing was good, though didn't quite capture the Home Improvement spark. Where Last Man Standing kinda stunk was when it got moved from FOX to ABC.

It actually moved from ABC to Fox after six seasons. They did three more seasons at Fox, though some roles had to be recast. I never really watched it myself. I watched Home Improvement back in the early days though.

No idea it was back on. Is it a re-boot of the prior show from the 1980'?
No.... but it seems that all the medical shows are gone except for Chicago so the networks are doing Columbo reboots... Watson is coming on in January...so TV is now full of human devices who view crime differently

Yeah I goofed up the network order, you're right. The point still stands, just swap the order I wrote them :P

St. Denis is fairly new and seems like a quirky medical/hospital show. All of the actors will sometimes look into the camera and make remarks like they are filming some sort of documentary. Not sure how much of a following it will have.
