Good morning all - windy and cold again here - but today is errand day - kinda funny that I only go out of the house about once a week!! Have to pick up scripts and immunizations records at the ped's office for Alyssa - bank - usual stuff.

Forgot to mention this last week - Alyssa told me that she was at work (on campus - calling prospective freshman) and the desk she was sitting at was all Disney - she said "I thought of you Mom - you would love it".
Did I mention she comes home tomorrow?

Chris got written up for speeding in the school parking lot - of course in his words it "wasn't as bad as it sounds"...has lost his parking privileges for 1 month - and more with my car as far as I'm concerned - told him he needs to show respect for me and my car. Would someone please tell me when the "boys 101" class is given again?? I think I missed it.....haha. Being an only child I have no clue about "boydom" and I guess we had it way to easy with Alyssa - she never got in any kind of trouble so that just makes every infraction look worse......

Suzanne - you had me laughing about your wine - it made me think of that dumb movie "Sideways" - "If they are having merlot I'm not going".... :lmao:

Nancy - bless you for the eye candy.... :smooth:

Liz - you house sounds very nice - my inlaws have a ranch with an open floor plan and a sun room. :thumbsup2

JR Karen - hello - hello - hello - gotta get to read your NY post soon!! :wave2:

 Hi Nutsy!!

Morning Elaine....happy cleaning...... :yay:

Kimmie....could you move over some....I'm sitting next to you in the "who's noticin" section.....

Did some online shopping yesterday - bought a teal colored suede jacket from JC Penney....
I hope everyone is having a good day......more later....

I'm back!

Gotta get to all the neglected cleaning sometime over the next week, but I'm surfing for now! I've got to find the titles to the Jeep and the Saturn, the registrations are still in Maryland (they have 2 year vehicle registration), so we haven't been rushed. time is a wastin, though.

Paula, I'm not a merlot person, but the wine company we use has a really good Hungarian Merlot. It's pricey, but we really enjoy it, so it's worth it. I probably sound like a big wine snob, but I'm such a novice-and it's fun trying new stuff.

I'm supposed to go back to the dealership-again! He asked me to come by Tuesday afternoon, but the people I was there to meet weren't! I'm getting smart to the disorganization, I'm calling first today!

Back to the vascular surgeon today. I've got a spot I have been keeping an eye on, and it's getting bigger, not going away. I was warned that I may be on permanent blood thinners the next time I have a clot, so I'm hoping it's nothing but paranoia.

Suzanne

Gunny update! :dog2:

Well -- Nancy pretty much hit the nail on the head with her roadkill comment! :lmao:

Gunny nabbed something extremely dead and extremely vile on his walk on Saturday. Yeah - it was roadkill! :guilty: And then we slipped him some deer jerky (that was freshly made and perfectly safe.)

Saturday night he threw up a little bit. Sunday night he threw up a lot. Then we found more on Tuesday morning. The vet put him on a fast and tried to do an xray but Gunny wouldn't cooperate. He was sick again Tuesday night and Wed. morning. Vet said to keep him off food all day yesterday - wow, was that ever fun! We took him for the xray last night at 6:20 and they had to sedate him to do it. They couldn't find any obstruction - just some gas build-up. Vet said to not feed him last night, either.

I called this morning and since Gunny hadn't thrown up any - I was allowed to give him some food. I have to monitor him today to see if he can hold it down.

DH said that basically we just shelled out $250.00 to discover that our dog has massive farts. :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

morning gang,

even tho i'm not sick, i'm going to the doc today so he can tell me i'm not sick. I'm also going to have him tell me that these are not migraines but but a build up of gas :lmao: (ala Gunny :teeth: ) my apt. is at 1130 so I should be back by 12:30! Then I can make it clear I'm not sick :teeth:

Hi to the returning yaya's. I promise to ketchup better soon.

hugs to all!

Just give me $250.00 and I'll give you that diagnosis!! :thumbsup2

Good luck at the Dr. :goodvibes

Pam,

I hope it's been warm enough to keep those windows open. Dog farts are flammable! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

...The movie was pretty bad....as the reviews said. Johnny did a great job, just a strange storyline and terrible filming IMHO. Johnny looked GOOD through the first part and then incredibly bad during the last...pained me to look at him :( ....

....like "Val Kilmer" bad, as in "Wyatt Earp"?

Don't remember....but I bet this is worse ::yes:: Disease ridden

Good luck at the doc, Tara.

Hope Gunny gets over that fast....sorry I was right about the roadkill....I was only kidding. Hope you didn't kiss him after that

:rotfl:

I am glad that Gunny will be okay though!

Been busy cleaning. Just ate lunch though and finally the smell of Clorox seems to be leaving my body. I love that stuff :p

You know, I didn't notice how pale he was at the waist line. Looks much better darker ;)

Nancy, hope your bathroom cleaning goes well. The people before us never cleaned the tub. We didn't notice during the inspection much because they had one of those rubber mats on the bottom... so when we moved in we could see how bad it was. Every few weeks I get down and scrub like crazy. The gray lines are eventually fading away  Otherwise with just the two of us in there, it never gets too bad.

Awww Paula, what a sweet girl you have there! As for Christopher, I can say it isn't easy being the one who comes after good kids. Just try to realize that most kids do make mistakes at some point though. Don't let it go completely, but I am sure it is equally as rough on him knowing that his sister was so good. JMO after coming from a family with "two perfect" children and me ;)

Suzanne good luck at the dealership as well as the doc today. I would probably be annoyed by now with the dealership and would write them off... though sometimes I do think being a car salesperson would be nice.

Tara, good luck with the doc and not being sick :teeth:

Ewww... the thought of Gunny kissing after that... yuck :crazy2:

I get the joy of trying to reorganize my tiny little bathroom. Lots of stuff, not enough space so I am trying to work with it more. after that, biking and then choir tonight. I'm not looking forward to trying to get that bathroom done though. But I know I will be happy with it once I will... catch y'all later!

Well the good news is that i'm not *really* sick. He made some mention of a cold :confused3 but said the ears are fine and the lungs really don't have a 500# person standing on them! :rotfl2: I asked if my head hurt because of a build up of gas....he looked at me like I had three heads. He promised me that he didn't think that was my problem.

So he gave me a new med to take daily to reduce the number of migraines, and to take claritan or similar med to control allergies. He thinks they are all related. We also discussed that stress has invaded my life and that I don't deal with it and I'm working on trying to deal more appropriately with it. As for pain meds after I told him everythign I had taken he sia dthat there really wasn't much else he could give me that wouldn't cost me a fortune or have side effects that I wouldn't want (like comatose for hours on end!) So we'll see what happens. I told him I could take up drinking to reduce my stress  . He told me that I needed to come up with something better than that!

So now I have meds that will help, but for this headache won't do anything for it. I need to just rest :rotfl: yeah, like that is gonna happen!! hehehehehe

thanks for all the positive chanting! Now we need to chant "headache must leave" :teeth:

tara

Boards are super pokey for me today... I hate that :rolleyes1

Tara, I am so glad you aren't "really sick"! I like your sense of humor about it though! But onto your chant

headache must leave

headache must leave

headache must leave

headache must leave

headache must leave

headache must leave...

;)

Just a quick hi. Been on the run all day. Went to Cleveland this morning for a Deal Or No Deal interview/audition. My BIL got a call back for the show and me, Junior, & SIL, & SIL's mom were the supporters. It was alot of fun. Hopefully BIL makes it on the show. :bounce:

 and mad love to all!!

:moped:

Yes, the boards are slow...but page 3!!

Bathroom took about 10 minutes, Elaine.

Cleaned the living room too.

Found out the YCE package I sent arrived smashed to pieces, so not in too good a mood here.
And the water bottle filters I ordered that are supposed to fit any standard size bottle....soda or water, don't fit the ones I have :(

M'Cori's necklace did arrive. I am just not sure of it....wish I could get some opinions.

But see.... those are my special guys in my sig and I'm seeing them soon and... well... Poor Apolo. I have failed him. :guilty: Yabut! I'll put him back soon! ...and I added to your lovely pictures over on the thread where we old broads (I mean, me) go to drool over him. Am I forgiven? :teeth:

Johnny! :faint:

Gunny farts! :faint:

Nutsy!! :faint: I meeean... Yay! :p It's good to see you! Come back often maam! Hey! How's this work?! I have like two Dis years on you, yet you have a bagazillion more posts! You chatty woman you! :teeth:

Who asked about Liz's house... That would've been me I think. :) It sounds really lovely Liz!!

Remotes in this house are generally buried under blankets. The dog hates them. If they are within her reach, she will drag blankets over them. Same with cordless phones.

Beth, poor Dave! :( How is he feeling now? Poor guy! Going to leave some Get Well wishes here for him... :wizard:

Tara, I'm glad to hear your dr. confirmed our suspicions! You're not sick!! Wooo! I knew it! You rock!! :cool1:

Boydom 101. Sigh. I need to take that class. Especially if they teach you a stress free way to shop for shoes. We did that today. I now have a shoe buying induced headache.

How was your appt. Suzanne? Permanant blood thinners... ack, nooo! :(

Hey, cool! Suzanne your IM conversations sound like mine! Actually it's kind've nice that way isn't it? It's nice to be able to pop in, leave a message for someone whether they are in or not, and know that they'll get to it when it's a good time for them. It's a nice low key way to keep in touch with friends. :)

Elaine, happy bathrooming and choiring!

:( That stinks Nancy!! Sorry that happened. :guilty:

Sherry, what a fun day!! Fingers crossed for BIL!!

:lmao: :lmao: I got as far as the gunny story and couldn't read anymore :lmao: :lmao:

I saw "Failure to Launch" last night with some girlfriends. It was much better than expected....especially if you like Matthew M. :cloud9:

:grouphug: to all

gotta boogie again :moped:

Back from choir so I am about to call it quits for the night and snuggle in bed with Luis (as we normally do on Fridays)

Sherry, that sounds like so much fun!!! I think that is awesome y'all could go support him! I hope he gets on the show!

Thanks for that save Nancy, I think for me, I was just out with supper and choir. But that stinks with the YCE :( I hope some of it at least can be replaced!
As for the necklace, can you take a picture and share with us? I imagine it is a very pretty necklace from the pic you posted earlier ::yes::

Kimmie, that is too funny what your pup does. Is this your Minnie? Ours fall into the blankets but that is our own doing. Glad we don't ahve a dog :p

Howdy Kristy :wave2:

I'm off for the night!

We-l-l-l-l-l-l, lemme git over there and check it out..... :moped:

OHHHHH, hey, "Hi", Kristy!

Hi, all. Sucky day, great evening...

Interview, well, arrogant and chauvinistic would describe the Interviewer well. He kept staring at my chest  ....and went on about how I couldn't just leave to pick up the kids from school. Your point is? Lots of snide comments-I handle confrontational interviews just fine, so by the end, he was telling me that I'd probably move into management quick, since they desperately need managers. Uh, sorry, dude, not working for you. I'm probably going to look at other dealerships, though!

Then, the doctor's appointment-sometimes being right sucks big time. Yep, I have a thrombophlebitis in my foot. If it doesn't go away in two weeks, I get to have surgery  The Nurse Practitioner didn't seem to think it was that big a deal, but got my doc-and he and I were bantering back and forth. As soon as he trotted out the "98% of patients don't need surgery", I asked if he'd forgotten something. :lmao: Now it looks like one surgery on the 27th and another the following week.

Sorry for the EOIP post, but I'll be more in the jovial ketchup mood after a good night's sleep.

Mad love to all

Suzanne
