Ah, so I can tell that you really didn't care for Hulk much at all then, Nancy! I don't think there is a way you can tell I like a coaster or not until you see me get off the ride. If I am really smiling, then you know I liked it :teeth:

Nope...didn't like Hulk.....we both came off with headaches didn't we? Something is wrong when that happens.

You need a pick next week Elaine.....have Luis stick up for you and say they missed your turn.

Movie was interesting......kind of unusual. Funny in an odd sort of way.

The new Applebees opened up near here. The line was out the door. I think we will wait awhile before attempting to go there.

Hope SIL does better soon, Suzanne.
My uncle is still in the hospital :( Seems like forever.

Sorry for all the snow for you folks. It has turned gorgeous here. Cool but :sunny: Loving it....especially after coming back from vacation. It would have been hard to come back to gray skies and rain.
Still missing a kitty though :(
Hope he shows soon. I will worry until then.

Dave's going for a job interview on Friday....not sure how I feel about that. Guess we wait and see.

I don't have the energy to ketchup..... sorry!

I'm home, honeys!!! puckerup: Dead tired, sore legs and feet, and a stiff neck. Yay - another great trip! :lmao:

Lainey - I know that you liked my beads - don't try and deny it!! :rotfl2: Yeah - I'm a dame - really..... honest......

I did a TON of shopping after I parted ways with the YaYas and Dave before I headed back to the convention. As soon as I walked into the hall, everyone wanted to know how my meeting with my "internet buddies" turned out! :teeth: DH told everyone what I was doing. They were all fascinated by our friendship.

I told DH that I recognized all of you while I was standing in the security line. And it felt so comfortable to walk up, hug all of you and just start talking. I really do feel like I've known all of you forever! :grouphug: DH now wants Todd and Amanda to come work the trade show in Louisville! :)

Oh and Lainey - please stop calling DH in the middle of the night - I am losing valuable beauty sleep time......

Now to clarify the phone number comment - I was afraid that DH would be worried that I was traipsing off to meet people I talk to over the internet - so I gave him Elaine's phone number - which he promptly left on the nightstand in the hotel! :rotfl: Obviously he wasn't worried one bit! (Did he call and offer you money to kidnap me??)

We had a great time at the House of Blues with our client and his girlfriend. First time I ever met the GF and we were friends within minutes! We attended The Machine concert, tribute to Pink Floyd at the HOB Club.

DH and I sneaked over to the MK on Thursday - I rode Space Mountain again :faint: as well as quite a few other rides. The crowds were about 3 times as many as the ones we encountered on Wed. We had the character meal at the Liberty Tree Tavern - we love the food there - and we hammed it up for the photos. Loved the fireworks at the Castle!

Friday we went to MGM in the morning, then over to AK. The Convention took over MGM from 7-10 pm for a private party. Around 500 people - we arrived at the back side of the park in buses. Buses dropped us off literally in the park, zero walking - "fans" greeted us and we walked a red carpet. We had dinner out in the streets. At 8:45 pm ToT and RnR were opened to party guests . I rode Tower twice and RnR once. DH did ToT twice and RnR 3 times. It was really weird having only 500 people in the park!

Finished up our convention yesterday and then caught our flight home. We got back around 10:00 pm.

I'm now working on laundry. Gunny was ecstatic to see us - and so was Precious! DS said she wouldn't eat while we were gone. :guilty: She's been hanging by my side since we got back.

The big snowstorm bypassed us - we've just had some flurries.

Prayers for Ed's sister and also to Jon on the loss of his Mom. :guilty:

Kimmar - sorry about the students - any update?

Sherry - how is Junior doing?

Beth - I am stunned by how much snow you got! :faint:

Tara - Jar just cracks me up with some of the stuff he says! :rotfl:

Nancy - I prefer the Post Office's Express Mail - I have better luck with it than anything else. We are out in the sticks and Fed Ex will sometimes not deliver overnight. They wanted us to drive to the suburb of Pittsburgh, about 30 miles one time to pick up something. I was like, "Hello -- that is why you were paid the grand sum of $50.00 for an Overnight Saturday DELIVERY fee to get the darn package TO ME!!" :furious:

Paula - holy cow! Talk about snow! Are you busy creating snowmen and snow forts??? Glad Alyssa made it back to college okay. Hope the transfer works out for her. And yes, I would be bummed about the Chris comments, too.

Lily - I hope your DS is feeling better!

Nancy - lost kitty? :guilty: I'm so sorry. Any mice????? ;)

evening all,

been a quiet day here. Jarrod came home from daddy's house with a 102 temp! I'm not sure if it is the flu or if it is the dreaded virus!! Ethan hasn't really wanted to eat today...so I'm hoping that he isn't getting what Jarrod has!

No snow here :( a few fluries but that was it. I was in Food Lion tonight and I heard someone holler to another person "Is it still snowing??" the answer was no and you could hear the audible sigh of defeat! It signals to all these teenagers working at Food Lion that they will indeed have school tomorrow! :teeth:

Quick ketchup...
Suzanne...hope sil is feeling better soon. Is this the one with MIL? Good luck with childcare...I hate having to find childcare!

Beth...I hate you!!! You have snow and we don't! wahhhhhh!! I want snow too!! How many pages you get done?

Okay...everyone else....I hope you enjoyed your weekend.

I'm heading off to finish watching Desperate Housewives and then I'm headed to bed!!

Til tomorrow!!

tara

Got a snoring hubby on the couch next to me, so I'm back.

Pam, welcome back. Okay, they can do Louisville, I got dibs on St.Louis! :teeth: Actually, Ed's mindset was that I should go and have fun with you-he doesn't care, either!

Once SIL realized that this was MY day off (she knew it was Ed's), she spent about a half hour crying. He couldn't say what he felt because it would have made it worse. Yes, this is SIL and MIL over in Lakeland.

Tara, hope the boys are feeling better in the AM.

I think I'm going to take advantage of having a sleepyhead and go soak in the tub. Seems that the majority of my rare enjoy the tub with a good book ventures end up with Ed sitting next to the tub, talking while I'm reading!

check.....PO Express Mail. I will be picking up our mail tomorrow and check out our options.
I was not happy to hear from Geoff that the Valentine package I sent BEFORE we left has not arrived to him yet  Should have only taken 6 days....now at 15!!

Yep...our outside kitty has not been seen :( Christin fed him last Sunday and all that food was still there untouched when we got home Friday night. Still no sign of him.....he does disappear for days when the sun comes out, not usually for this long.
No mice, thank goodness :)

Glad you had a good trip, Pam. I assume DS made it alright even if the furbabies missed you??
It was great meeting you. Wish we would have had more time.
And thank you for the BD present :teeth: I was laughing at it. Love the bad girl side best ;) Hope the picture we took (at least one of the 4) comes out good. I haven't even looked at my photos yet.

Thank you to Elaine for the BD present also. Lily and Bianca were thrilled.

I don't think the May trip is going to happen...which is probably for the best. Christin doesn't think she can take that much time off, especially after her LV days and the trip to Austin.
Looking at maybe next May with everyone  (but then of course our APs will have expired :( )

Tara, hope whatever Jar has leaves fast and that no one else gets it.

Morning all... quiet morning here! Everyone braving the snow?

Bethie, how are you feeling today? Sounds like the weather was mostly what you needed with that cold.. kind of forced you to stay home. Hopefully it didn't ice over or anything like that there.

LOL, Suzanne, actually Luis did mention it to a couple of people. Making sure they knew next week was my pick. Not that it is a huge deal to anyone, but I think the whole group was just halfway annoyed that no one ever got to pick but the one family. We have a group of about 15-20 who go out every week too.
Best wishes for your SIL... I hope she will be doing better soon!

Nancy, I agree Hulk was kind of yuck. the first 20 seconds were nice, but for me to come off a steel coaster with a headache... well, that makes it NOT a good one!
Sorry that the trip probably won't work out! Have fun with the LV trip though :)
And I hope your kitty shows up soon ::yes::

Pammy, welcome home!!!!!! glad you made it back safely! Yep, loved them beads... esepcially the ones that broke ;)
Oh and I'll keep the calls down to a minimum, trust me ;) But your hubby is such the hot & sexy man I can hardly keep my paws off!

Tara, I hope both the boys are feeling better soon

I have a lot to catch up on today, so I had better get moving. I did put a roast in the crock pot this morning though. Already smelling good ::yes::

Good morning.

Me and you Elaine?? Too bad it isn't back at Disney ;)

I get to go pick up 11 days of mail today

Hi everone - not sure exactly how much snow we ended up with but definitely over a foot. The yard looks really pretty today.

Elaine - I vote that you get to choose 2x.....they owe you!!!!!
Beth - hope the cold is better.....pea soup... :stir: my husbands favorite!!
Suzanne - prayers for your sister in law - hugs for you!!
Pam- welcome back - !!!
Tara - hope the boys are feeling better today.
Nancy - any news on the missing kitty?

Calling the doctor today - think I have a bladder infection - thought it would clear itself up but seems to be getting worse...lucky me.

More later....

No harm there; we've seen the pics, and I think you are safe!

All of the WDW Y'all-Y'alls looked fantabulous! ::yes::

Nope...no kitty yet

I want the brown sugar puppy BaB!! He is too cute.
I still have birthday money left ...and am going to the mall tomorrow
Give me strength.

Hope you get that cleared up fast, Paula. Nasty thing

Good morning gang,

Well, my oldest is definately sick. He woke up with a 101.5 temp this morning. Not sure what he has, but I know I don't want it.

Nancy...I'm sorry the kitty is gone missing. I hope he comes home soon. I know the feeling of a pet being missing!! Sorry about the May trip too. I know I will be here and not there :( What even sucks is that I have a free round trip ticket to anywhere Southwest Flies! But I know my mom would kill me if I got to go to WDW without her!! Its not about keeping the kids it is about me going and her not going! :lmao:

Elaine...sorry you didn't get to pick on Sunday, but to me that means you get to out during the week with just you and hubby!! Then it doesn't matter where you go the rest of the Sundays!!

Paula...I'm so jealous of your snow. Please post some pictures for those of who are snow challenged!!

Karen...don't blame Beth for your snow! I'm sure it was some yankee farther north who is responsible for it!! :teeth:

Pam...post your Liberty Tree Tavern pictures! PLEASE! (boy I'm worse than those begging for tags!! I want pictures!!) I am going to try and get our Thanksgiving REssie there for the next trip!! What kind of a conference did you have to go to? And are there single men looking for women who have children and a mother they are supporting who really just want to live in Disney World? Oh, and do they make good money?

Suzanne...did you get to soak in the tub? I couldn't soak in the tub, I would be too busy thinking about all the things I needed to get done and couldn't do while I was wasting time in the water!

Kimmiee...I'm sorry about Apollo. :(

Okay, my second bell is full of little obnoxious Jerks that I would like to throw out to the wolves! They refuse to work, they complain about the work they do, and I'm really over teaching them!

Okay, gotta go beat some kids, I'll be back later. oh and don't report me to the DIS teacher patrol...i don't want to be accused of being a horrible teacher that needs to find a new career! ( I already know i need a new career :lmao: )

Here ya go Tara....

Super busy day here. I just didnt' get much done in the house due to errands we ran last week.

So today is my start at home where I have a lot to do and little time to do it. but I think I am now caught up on laundry and will be ready for whenever Luis comes home.

Nancy, pity we weren't back at Disney! With the snow I could go with going back again ;) Good luck sorting 11 days of mail :faint:

Paula, sorry about the bladder infection. A friend of mine used to get those all the time. She said overloading water helped her (hers were triggered by certain dyes in drinks). I hope you feel better soon!

Fantabulous? Uh huh... though I am not shocked coming from the same guy who couldn't count past three ;)

LOL Tara, I already picked with my hubby for my birthday... this was just with friends :teeth: I do need to call Melting Pot though. My dad wants to try it out so the three of us will be going before he goes to FL at hte end of the month.
I hope Jarrod is feeling better soon though

Nancy, hope your kitty shows up soon!

I need to fold some laundry... once I get that done I will be mostly caught up :)

Hey gang,

TC... :lmao:
AA...not sure if Pam should be thanking you for that remark...or hitting you!!
Elaine...mmmm Melting Pot. My mom and I were talking about going there with a small group and doing it where it is a little quieter!! (and you don't have to share the chocolate!)
Paula...thanks for the picture!! I'm so depressed we didn't get any snow!

And more good news today...I had emailed Jar's teacher on friday telling her that I might want to try and get Jarrod an IEP using the OHI (other Health Impaired...which means ADHD and such) and say that it is adversely affecting his academic performance in school. His grades did drop a little over the last quarter...not significantly but he didn't make up much ground. So today she emails me and tells me that she agrees with me that an OHI IEP might be the best way to go. She even said, "I will be also be looking for anything he does that is NOT on grade level so there will be some leverage there." So I know she will help me make a case for the labeling. This appears to be the only way to get him the services he needs. I feel a little better about it!!

Oh and his temp this afternoon is 103. UGH! His teacher said that there were 3 other kids absent today. So Jar is going to miss the Valentine's festivities :( . I was looking forward to him making the little container and doing the fun stuff. I'm probably more disapointed than he is!!

OKay, gotta go look like I'm working. I don't hate the children I have right now. I actually like this group!! hehehe

sorry you have a sick kid to deal with :(

No kitty yet....it has been at least 8 days

Awww.....May would have just been an "extra" trip.....still going in Oct and Jan.
But.....Dave is going on business in a couple of weeks
(not really mad...just jealous). He has business there on a Tuesday, so he is taking the red eye Friday night. He will get 3 days there....all by himself.
Then off up the coast ending the next weekend in New York...gee life is tough.
Plus he is going to Phoenix at the end of this week.
We should have free flights in time to use them for our Oct...and Jan trips :teeth:
Going to Las Vegas helps....and I do at least get to do that.

I have found with bladder infections that lots of water, extra Vit. C help a lot.

Mail is sorted ;) Bills paid. Got a couple of exchange packages :)

How long does it take to get deliveries from WDW? I'm getting anxious.
We had 2 sent....one is our Valentine presents (don't think they are going to make it in time :( ) and then a load of souvenirs.
