Heard that most likely the pilots would not walk....but who knows

Looking forward to trying Panera now :teeth: Love sandwiches and salad stuff.
Now to see if it is open tomorrow....but I think I am a bit early for it and not sure I want to go to that mall around the holidays

Like Penney's huh? Hmmmm......well, it is closer. But as long as Christin works at Penney's I like her discount ::yes::
Of course, they haven't even broken ground yet

I need to go make cookies.....and the PO guy told me I need to bring them cookies too ;)
Dentist, PO, Dave's work, kids......too many cookies. I see a couple nonstop days in my future.

Nah, Tara I found stuff online... mixed on if they would walk or not... but I rarely watch the news and this one slipped past on my other news readings.

Hopefully they will not walk (apparently it would be suicide for them if they did) and at least we could figure out how to get down there... even if it meant driving.

Not so worried about Feb trip, just this one.

I'd agree Kohl's is a bit like Penney's though I don't like the brands they sell at Kohl's. Not near as much selection either. Ours feels nasty though... somewhere between Target & Wal-Mart in cleanliness.

Cranky mood knowing I have to return two things... blech.

gee, thanks Dave :p

Not necessarily in a better mood. But we got ice cream and I am going to curl up in bed with some knitting stuff so hopefully I will feel perkier soon :)

Oh I forgot to say that we are under a torando watch at the moment... should be getting the brunt of the storm shortly...

followed by snow...

so, if I am not around it's because it stormed and I didn't feel safe being online. I hope you all have a nice evening!

Stay safe, Lainey!

My tons of packages have begun to arrive! :rotfl: I am running out of space.

Welcome Home Mrs. A!!!!
:Pinkbounc :cheer2: And Pilot, too!!!! :dog2:

Tornados  Glad we don't have to deal with those.

Pam, I love when they start coming ::yes::
I store in Christin's old closet.....walk in. Lily and crew can spare the floor space :rotfl:
I did get notice that my order from Tabasco has shipped :rotfl:
Still no ideas from Geoff and M'Cori.....soon they will be at my mercy and just get what I want to get them :teeth:
Christin is coming over Thursday to start the wrapping. I think she is running out of room. ::yes::

I need to go finish up the cookies for tomorrow.

Good evening folks...
tornadoes and snow...now that is a strange combo!!

We were going to eat at the steak place tonight but found it being rehabed so we ended up at the new Cheesburger in Paradise. It was cute cuz E was swaying to the Jimmy Buffet music!! :rotfl: Yep, he's my kid alright!!

Oh and I meant to tell you the othe day Elaine, that while i realize you are of a shorter stature then the average...I'm thinking a tent over your bed might not be necessary! But if it is Luis can keep that secret all to himself!! :rotfl:

Nancy...I love the fact that you do all that baking!! I wish we had someone at our school do that!!

Pam...so you order your roadkill now?? Or is there a company where they pick it up and ship it to you after they "accidentally" hit it??

John...where are the pics of your kids...we are waiting young man!

Paula...lol! your dog and the turkeys. I guess they are creating a peaceful habitat together!!

Kimmie...why you so excited about the Olympics?? :confused3 Are you really into those ice sports like Curling??? :rotfl2:

Okay, gonna go stitch for a bit before bed..I'm thinking this stocking is not going to get done before Christmas!!

hugs,
tara

Evening, all.

John, that's a four way with onions. I went to look up Skyline last night to see if they shipped and found there's one over in Clearwater! woohoo!

Nancy, enjoy Panera! There's one in the mall I work in, and if they weren't there, I wouldn't eat, lol. I'm fond of the you pick two and get a half sandwich and soup-any soup. Noticed a new flavor the other day red pepper and tomato bisque. Sounds yummy.

Tiara, sounds like Ethan's got the right idea. Get that kid the Jimmy Buffett Greatest Hits Live for Christmas!

Kama, soooo you're just a little excited about those winter olympics, eh?

Lainey, hope those tornados pass you by.

We had a busy day. Went christmas tree shopping, with no success. All the prelits that are nice have white lights. Bought a vacuum at Direct Buy.

Kevin has decided that he wants to be a cub scout, so I'm going to the information meeting tomorrow night. Uh oh, Ed always said I'd end up being a den mother-that type A personality thing!

Off to read what's happening on amazing race.

Suzanne

I'll 2nd that......tornadoes and snow....just sounds weird! Stranger things have happened, I guess.

Really busy last couple of days, training a new employee! Still need a few more along with a couple of teachers, but, we'll make it. Been having fun making signs for holiday specials and now, I'm working on what we call an altered clipboard. I'm doing a snowy/winter theme in the hopes that the almanac is right in predicting lots of the white stuff 'round these parts this winter! Not going to wish for it, though, don't want our Jellybean getting buried again. :teeth:

So Ethan is a fledgling Parrothead, eh, Tara?! LOL!!!! Now, how was the food?

Nancy, all your baking keeps making me want to bake, too! Got too many other things getting in the way, though. Wrapping, already?! :earseek: I better get on the stick!!

See, Pam, that's what happens when you shop online. Can't just hide 'em all in your trunk. Especially when you already have a horse in there!!!

Oh good grief! News coming on telling about the tornadoes in the midwest. 35 of them already reported tonight, mostly in Tennessee and Ky. Stay safe, ya'll!! We'll be getting it between 2 and 8pm tomorrow, but not quite as severe. Not pretty. Heading for sleepyland, now. Sweet dreams, ya'll! :grouphug:

Here are the photos that I promised earlier today. First is the birthday boy, James:
james2005.jpg

And his sister Sarah (who will celebrate her sweet 16 in just 2 weeks from today):

Sue and I could not be more proud of our two young adults.

Peeking in on my laptop... so far so good with the storms... hopefully it won't get any worse than this. I just cannot bear the idea of snow... not ready for that yet :(

Pam, enjoy all your packages arriving! So when do you get to wrap it all? :teeth:

Nancy, whatcha baking for tomorrow? Trust me I hate tornados too... I would take *any* weather over hte sever t-storms and tornados that blow through here. Just too scary and not much warning or hope with those.

Tara, our Kimmie here loves the Olympics because of a certain dorkaskater named Apolo... she just goes all mush with him.
And no comment on beds and tents and Luis... brain went way bad with that.

Suzanne, you will laugh at me, when I went hunting for hte pre-lit tree, I had a hard time finding ones with just white lights. I like the soft glow of electric... wait wrong movie ;)
Seriously our tree is BRIGHT. I could see why anyone might want color... though I can read by mind in the pitch black :rotfl:

Bethie, have fun at work! I hope by the time the front hits y'all it will be weakened a lot. I do hear the wind blowing and the rain hitting quite a bit now still. Ought to look at the radar I guess.

John, I love those pics! Both of the kids look great!!!! THey are both wonderful kids (reflection on the parents I know) and you should be proud.

Off to do stupid stuff for a while I think.

Nice pictures. John. Thanks for sharing.

I love thunderstorms ::yes:: Never been around a tornado....they do happen here, but not often.

Made Pumpkin Pie Bars.
Wrapping....not my idea yet, I still need to shop....but she wants to come over, I'll take it :teeth:
Dave picked up a new cheapo computer for her today, so she can get that then too. School starts back up for her after TG, so good thing to have.

Good morning all!

Nancy, I used to love thunderstorms... but after one summer of hurricane force winds and all the nasties that came with (tornados, hail, lots of wind damage, power lost for days on end....) I don't always like them as much :(

I hope the computer works out well for Christin.

I have to return one thing today at Target and maybe pick up another cheapy t-shirt from Target. I decided that I didn't want to pack my OSU shirt, so I would rather just spend $10 more and get a cheapy one that I know will fit well.

Hi all,
I'm off to my office this morning for my annual review. I am hopeful tht my supervisor and I will come up with some good ideas to make me a more "visible" manager. Unfortunately one of the drawbacks of working from home is that I am "out of sight/out of mind" so that when problems arise they are not brought to me ...I need to find a way to let everyone know that I am willing and capable of handling these things (been with the company for 17 years - working at home for @13).

Speaking of home - things are still the same - my husband just makes "small talk" with Chris - very strained - I'm sure Chris wants to just have it out with him but is afraid to say anything. I can see it now - tomorrow at the psych office - psycch asking my husband why he has not talked to Chris about all this and him replying "well he's not talking to me"....

Getting excited about Christmas - got some great gift ideas....
Getting excited about Alyssa coming home next week too!!

Nancy - pumpkin bars sound yummy!!!
Elaine - happy happy packing - hope you find what you want at Target.
John - the pictures are beautiful - you should be very proud!! Funny how we have to remind ourselves sometimes how lucky we are to have good kids!!!
Tara - any updates on the flights?? My fingers are crossed for you!

Well - I'm off to hit the shower and find something semi appropriate to wear to the office.....no jeans and sweatshirt.....

More later.....

I can't see John's pix--not even a red x :sad1:

I must say, having weather like this coming in is certainly interesting. It is currently 66º here and expected to go even higher by noon. Then the proverbial you-know-what will hit the fan and the nastiness will hit. I love how the weathermen keep saying "Temperatures will plummet" :rotfl: I looked out the window and can see the wind has picked up already. The clouds are literally flying across the sky, allowing an occasional flash of sunlight. Definitely not boring, that's for sure!

Hope ya'll have a great day! I have markdowns to do--what fun! I will probably make quite a few customers happy, today. Catch ya'll later!!! :grouphug:

Paula sneated!!! Good luck at the office today, girlfriend, and at the psych too. It may take more than a single visit, but there's always hope. Keeping ya'll in my prayers.

Now I see the pictures!! Frown....how come they didn't show up before?!! What GREAT lookin' kids you have, there, John!! and Sarah's b'day is 2 weeks from yesterday?? As in the 29th?! Whoo-hooo, I have another birthday buddy!! I will consume a Mickey bar in her honor that day! Or would she rather have Liz's favorite chocolate cake?

Your choice. I'm not leaving for WDW until the 30th. I made the mistake (once) of missing her birthday for a trip to see my DIS buddies. I won't do that again, especially not for her 16th birthday.

Good morning.

My Disney order arrived :teeth: I have toppers, topper shirt, topper umbrella.
It arrived at a neighbors....must have been a sub driver, the reg knows this house too well ;)

Have fun shopping, Elaine.
I am headed out soon too. Got a hair appointment and will hit a couple of stores....one being BaB. Bianca needs a Christmas outfit :)

Beth, you can eat a Mickey bar for me too :) Help me celebrate your birthday ::yes::

Outside kitty is still having an infection problem, so another vet trip on the way to the mall is scheduled

Have a good day everyone.

(Shoo-Jay had that GREAT picture -the one where the hamhocks are trying to mount over that divider... )

Kim-I want updates on the kitchen and pricing as you progress!

Pricing... okay once I get the heart pumping again and pick myself up off the floor, I'll let you know. :p The kitchen design person comes out Saturday. Yay but... eeeek!

As for THAT picture... it is safely tucked away in a very special place. :cloud9: ... :p

Curling! It rocks! Woooo!!! The broom dudes are particularly lovely this time of year.

Nice looking young people you have there TC. Sweet smiles! Thank you for sharing!
