:rotfl:

Hi all, back from knitting. Luis says I am old because I do it

Pam, I am only knitting. None of that other stuff yet. I can cast on & knit... that's the extent of it. I will be done with teh scarf most likely tonight and Sherrie will teach me casting off on Thursday quickly.

Well I'll be all nice and say "Hi Heather!" Stop back more often!

Suzanne, way cool about the way to transfer information. Life is so much easier now with the easy ways to transfer data. And I thouht, floppies were nice!

John, need company for Skyline? ;)

Jeannie, you need to show up more. That and dork lovin' twit too!

Cold and rainy so I am going to braid my hair and crawl into bed with knitting. not sure if I will stop back or not.

Stupid server busy.....yes getting it now.

:wave2: everyone....now I need to go get dinner ready

I'll take a skyline 4 way, thank you very much!

Suzanne

HI all...

Pam....gotta love "guy shopping" - my husband is the same way in LL Bean!!

Speaking of my husband - did I mention that he has "new friends" - he has decided to feed the wild turkeys so now all 7 of them hang out in my back yard all day....I'm thinking of naming them....Thanksgiving, Christmas , New years.....

online at Barnes and Noble site - looking at daily boxed calendars - they hav a Monty Pythion one - defilitely getting that one for Alyssa.

Anyone have any ideas about new games this year? She loves board games - saw 1 that I thought was kida cool - called "Imagineif".

Oh....more important....Did I mention that I wa going to see Lion King Friday night? With one of my sister in laws and her sister.

Suzanne - glad that the new psychiatrist went well for Neil.

Tired.....long work night - sleep well friends.......

4-way bean or 4-way onion???

How soon can you be here???

(BTW - My wife has informed the wait staff at our local Skyline that, under no circumstances, are they to serve me onions. My 5-way days are over and now I'm a 4-way bean man. You would think that she would be more afraid of the beans than of the onions.

Happy day at our house today. Our son turned 18yo. We picked up the proofs for his senior portrait and I will post one this evening. DD is about to turn 16yo and, out of fairness and equal time, I will post her high school portrait as well. DW Sue thinks that it might be the most beautiful photograph ever taken of our daughter.

I don't thank God often enough for the two blessings that He has bestowed upon our lives.

Morning all... not sure what set this off, but I am dealing with one of the biggest flare ups (aches) in the longest time... very slow moving today.

Nancy, I am feeling the same way about the error... driving me crazy

:rotfl:
I love the names for the new friends Paula! I hope you enjoy TLK!!!!

John, you are a such a sweetie there... and you do have two wonderful kids!
But for the Skyline, I don't blame your wife. Actually onions and I do not mix :( Hard to eat when a lot of places throw them in. Uncooked are the worst for me too!

Pouring rain and I have errands to run. Hopefully the ibuprofen will kick in soon and I can be on my way.

Okay, the wild Turkey's with names caused me to laugh out loud...my students just shot me the strangest looks!!

John..you're right I'd be more afraid of the beans! I only eat my mommy's chili....yummy!!

Gosh, so much to ketchup up on after 3 days off line...haven't been able to "sit" at the computer much lately! :rotfl:

Alan...glad Mrs. AA and Pilot have returned...hope all is well at home.

Elaine...glad Cleo gets to get off the meds here soon!!

JRKaren...would love to meet up before Jelly Rolls...tell me when and where! Also, as for the Thanksgiving food...I've paid $1.60 for Jarrod to eat a T-Day meal in his school's cafeteria that I know he won't eat and then I'm paying $3.50 for me to eat the same slop!! But I guess that is part of the price of parenthood...crappy meals with your child on their first trip to the cafeteria...priceless!! :teeth:

Nancy..sent you a pm about exchange. That's a lot of toppers!! Now you need cars to go with each of them!!!

Pam...sounds like a lot of money to eat roadkill...or is that to make it roadkill?? Sounds like you are all ready for Christmas!!

okay, that's as much as this brain can remember right now. I know as soon as I hit the send button I will remember more stuff! So for now...hasta la vista BABEE!!

tara

Good morning.

Tara.....I didn't get a PM :(
I need to send you one and ask you something too ;)

Funny about the turkey names :teeth: Geoff named his turkey (that he made in school)...Dinner. Teacher knew he was going to be "interesting" from then on.

Happy Birthday to DS, John. They grow up so fast!

Elaine....I'm going for errands today too. Can't see out yet....don't know what the weather is like....other than :cold:

Morning all.....

Let me just say that I have to give credit to the producers of "Wife Swap" - they really do their homework and accomplish in matching the extreme opposite families. Watched a bit during my break last night (Santa - a small tv for my office would be nice...) - swapping a vegan and a hunters wife was hysterical.....

Speaking of the turkeys - got an e-mail from work that they will not be giving them out this year.....guess I really don't need one when I have 7 - haha. Got up at 6:45 this morning - turkeys grazing.....Casey - tied to her run - just laying there watching them....until they decided to ventore towards her run...she didn't like that - spooked them off - within 20 minutes they were back.

Today's task is to clean out my work desk and iron - fun fun!!

Elaine - hope the ibuprofen does the job for you.
Cold and cloudy here today......
John - Happy Birthday to your son - can't wait to see the pics.
Tara - early morning giggle - great way to start the day!!
Nancy - I'm laughing about Geoff's "dinner" - my friends son maned his pet rabbit "stew" - I think I see a pattern forming....

More later.....

Oh...I meant to get some input.

We have a Panara opening here soon.....well, by here, I mean the mall about 45 minutes away. Tell me.....Christin gets to go to the pre-opening with $12 of "play money" from them.

I also just say a sign in the town over, for plans to put a Kohls in. I have heard plenty of people mention them, but tell me how that compares to Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart.

Rain stopped fora while, so I am going out while I can :teeth:

So Tara, whatcha forget to type? ;)

Paula, didn't get to watch the show, but I saw Trading Spouses last week and they did an amazing job of getting people to swap too! Like these people don't figure it out before they go on that htey won't get the total opposite :p

Nancy, I like Panera. They have fresh baked bread that is good... sandwiches & soups are pretty good. Made to order. The bakery with the bagels are yummy... cinnamon crunch is to die for! We go there now and then on Sundays. not the cheapest, but good stuff.
Kohl's... I am no longer a fan of Kohl's really at all. Over priced when not on sale, and the selection and quality of the clothes are kind of crappy. Decent when it comes to housewares though. I used to go there a lot, but over the years they have fallen from my good graces. Target is gettinig that way too though :( But they at least are being more consistant with what they have... better stocked than before too.

With that, I'm off!

See y'all later!

When are things NOT on sale at Kohls??? :teeth:

Sue bought me a cute Mickey Mouse nightlight at Kohls this week. And I saw about a thousand Hallmark and other ornaments that I was tempted to buy. One was a Mickey Mouse Club logo which played the Mickey Mouse Club March. But I guess I already have enough stuff. And I am, afterall, getting a Mickey nightlight.

I love Panera but we don't get there often. And they always seem to be out of the Asiago Cheese Bread. I haven't yet found anything there that I don't absolutely love. I am especially fond of their soup in the bread bowls.

Jeannie, you need to show up more. That and dork lovin' twit too!
Jeannie yes, not sure about the dork lover though. She's odd. :scratchin

Pam has groupies?! Todd has his own thread? Oh man! How cool is that!? Ya'll rock! Could I have some autographs? A signed and numbered limited edition road racoon maybe?

Communion. Yes! Excellent song!! Also Carry My Cross. That one reminds me a little of an older one of theirs... Thief. Very powerful song!

Stinky LSU game!!

Hi Heather!

They charge for holiday dinners now? What the heck? Hmmm.... I wonder if my family would pay me if I promised not to cook?

Elaine, evil eye on the acheys. Are they gone yet? I wake up achey. Guess it comes with the territory. Being 21 sucks.

Beautiful blue knitted uh... thing! :teeth:

Mrs. AA and Pilot are home?!?

Guess what my DH saw a commercial for the other night? The Oh-lym-pics! Mwahahahaha! He's baaaaa-aaaaack! :p

A Prius for Boo? I thought about one of those too.

HAM!

Enjoy LK Paula!

Turkeys.... snerksnort! :rotfl:

Me? Exchanges and WDW? Eeeeeeh! Er, uh... WDW probably not. :p Exchange... hmmm. Think Pooh think. Doing two sorta. I'm not a good multi tasker. Could I cope with a third? I'd probably send everybody each other's stuff.

Computer Animation is where Cam's interests lie. I know nothing about it. It's frustrating because I'd love to help him "get started" but... :confused3

Looking forward to seeing TC's kiddo pics!

Sigh. Spent most of yesterday talking, shopping, pricing kitchen cabinets. Ack! Cherry? Hickory? Black marble? Green marble? Help!

Nancy - we love Panera - quick meal minus the fast food feel - great sandwiches and salads.

I shop at Kohls alot....I'd categorize them as very similar to JC Penney.

Can't wait to go to Barnes and Noble this week - made my list - now need to see if I'm better off ordering online or buying....gonna take some time there - may involve a coffee stop....Anyone care to join me??

Just got home from doing my errands - quiet here today - Chris still in bed.

Blech mood... bought somethign, got it home and decided I think I am going to return it. Blech blech blech... hate that

rainy & yucky so I am a pouty brat today.

Paula, that might be a good distraction for me though!

I too love the bread bowls at Panera!

I'll have to listen to that song again Kim... oh but the blue thing? It's finished!!!! Well, I am taking it with me to choir on Thursday to learn how to cast off :p

sorry for the lame post... still blech

:rotfl2: Not even spring yet and the first signs of caterpillar-face! Oh happy day! Come on Lainey-don't even tell me that the thought of abusing ol' hamhocks again doesn't put a smile on your face! (Shoo-Jay had that GREAT picture -the one where the hamhocks are trying to mount over that divider... :smooth: )

Kim-I want updates on the kitchen and pricing as you progress!

Yeah, bleeech here, too. :umbrella:

omg!! I'm on hold with Expedia right now...apparently DELTA pilots are threatening to strike tonigh!!!! How the hell I am supposed to get to FLA if those idiots go out on strike....heck what about my $663 I paid for the tickets...I'm going a little bonkers right now.
I pulled up my expedia ticket and there is a note about a schedule change so I'm on hold listening to non ASCAP music and it sucks!!! I'm soooo irritated right now!

There better be a resolution to this thing or they are going....i'm talking to them now will come back later!!

tara

Still in panic mode...but expedia said that as of right now everythign is fine. My flight home has been changed by 5 minutes. But I still have a flight.

So I have to wait for the morons at Delta to decide what they are going to do....Can you tell I'm a litle panicked at the thought of losing my flight?? I'm trying to be calm!! hahaha

tara

Ummm... thanks Tara...

that was the first I heard of the strike... guess who we are flying

But, with christmas coming and all that, most places never go on strike for more than 2 weeks... once that no pay hits, they get back to work.

Great :(

I didn't need to know this though...

Sorry Elaine...where's the "hang your head in shame" smiley?? I have looked online and I can't find it, but apparently it was on the noon news. Maybe they got it wrong...we can hope anyway!! I guess we will know by tomorrow morning...the news said that if they do go on strike then it will be the death knell for delta...they called it a "murder - suicide"...oh well to wait and see.

Well, I've finished fighting with an obnoxious copy machine...so I guess I'm going to go home now.

have a good evening all!!
