Ran some errands at the mall. Still forgot to pick up a new pair of earrings though  Maybe I'll do that a little later. The mall was packed and I was going nuts there.

LOL Tara, my dad taught me well ;) However I think an iPod would do just the trick for the noise issues as well :p

Bethie, I hope you had a good day up in NJ. And sounds like you had fun at BaB and got there at the perfect time ;)

Karen, have fun loading the stuff onto the mini! It took me forever to get about 2/3 of my albums on... I've taken a break and will add more later. I did look at the mini at one point and almost got one. It's kind of nice to be ablet o carry all my music and not worry. I have a feeling once I am done on my brother's site, I'll have at least 5000 songs loaded.

Paula, sounds like an eventful day for ya ;) I admit, I haven't even been to places to go download music yet. I usually wind up going to half price books and getting CDs and records there instead of buying per song off the internet. I can get a lot of CDs for $1 each there :)

Pam, keep the faith, it got up to 47° here today!!

Nancy  hope nothing too bad bugging you.

Suzanne, sorry you missed out on WDW, but the farm stand sound yummy!

I really should clean sone more now... blech!

Hi Ya Yas!
Seems like good Saturday things are being done here in Ya Ya Land. Glad to hear it.

Me too. Only worked a little then brother came by so we visited with him. DH was at work until early this afternoon. Not sure what I will be doing next. Brother just left.

Later...

Oh yeah, I got a 1 gig shuffle. I held the mini and it was heavier than the shuffle. Since I want to try it out while doing my exercise thing, I figured the lightweight one would be the best way to go for now. I hope I'm not disappointed. I was really wanting the mini as I figured that I could choose as I desired, but well time will tell.

Nothing bugging me, Elaine....just not too chatty. Maybe because nothing going on to chat about. B-O-R-I-N-G!!

Sounds like IPods are the Yaya obsession of the year ;) Knew we would get one!!

Supposed to do taxes, but Dave is being a PITA :p Think I will wait and do them alone next week sometime.

Hope someone is doing something fun today!!

As soon as Luis finishes something for me in the front room, I'll move some furniture around and then finish with the cleaning there. Hopefully I can get to the spare bedroom tonight as well and then the kitchen tomorrow. Lots of laundry to do from vacation as well.

Hi Stacy!! :wave2:

Lily, I think the iPod shuffle has its place. It is tiny and if you are working out with it, the different memory style would be better and the amount it holds is great. I know if I were actually working out with mine (well I will, but only on a stationary bike, so no big on the size), I'd want something smaller. Enjoy!

Nancy, are you implying you are boring? Hardly :p Too funny, so when are you getting your iPod... you havne't missed out on the other crazes so far :p

Sounds like Luis is done. Need to send a couple of PMs out though... catch y'all later :)

Hi all! What a bummer of a day. I think I had Nancy's "don't really feel like chatting" thing going on along with I "don't feel like getting out of bed today" thingie. I made myself get up and shower at 2:00. Then went and treated myself to a "chocolate dipped strawberry blizzard" while sitting looking at the ocean. I won't brag about how BEE-U-TI-FUL it was here today. I should have given Lizzie a call ;) . If it's the same tomorrow I just may do that!
Beth, sounds like lots of neat stuff at BAB! Might be a trip to the mall in my very near future.
Ok, better go do something before I forget!
Later Gators.................

RM  Hope that your water and ice cream therapy works. I used to do that a lot over here on the North Coast. I just loved watching the waves roll in. Although I think your weather would be much more inspiring.

Nancy, whaaa? Nothing to say. Sorry about that.

Elaine, hope you didn't hurt your back doing the work today.

I'm thinking that the rest of our evening will be a veg one. I am with all of those with no motivation to do much of anything. I was going to look for songs, but I don't even have the drive for that. I thinking I just need to veg. My body says so.

Well, like I saaaaiiiidd before ;) Dave is on the "list". When his name comes up, we'll have one :teeth: Probaby just a regular one though. But the price is right ;)

Yes, my life is boring

Nope nothing to say, Lily.
Guess I will go finish up dinner and veg in front of the TV soon.

RM... Chocolate therapy here today too ::yes::

Oh hush you Nancy... I miss little things here and there all the time :p Now I have to go back and search when you said that :rolleyes1

I may be young, but I do forget sometimes :p

Rose Mary, that sounds like an absolutely perfect day to me ::yes:: Nothing wrong with those days now and then!

Lily, enjoy the evening of vegging... I'd love to be doing that. I did move the stuff around in the front room and I don't feel any effects so far. I changed the set up quite a bit, but the cats and I seem to like it.

Speaking of which, I have this strange feeling right now... I found a matted mess on Cleo's chin right below the eye that is watering... as I brushed it out, I realized it was blood :( I did clean it up a little and it isn't gushing or anything (not more than a light pink color actually) but it made me feel sick to my stomach... and I have no clue why. I do fine with cuts and blood and for goodness sakes, I've played with cadavers before... but this made me feel awful. I wonder if I am just so upset that I didn't notice it before... oh well

back to cleaning... way behinda nd need to get clothes in the dryer for church tomorrow :)

And because I am a twit...

Nancy said:
An IPod should enter this house sometime.....hopefully in the not too distant future. Dave's company does work for Apple and guess who gets "samples"? Not sure where Dave is on the list to get one though.

Geez... expect me to remember something that I read over on the night I returned from the cruise!!! Actually that is *really* cool that he could get a "sample" I do love mine ::yes::

Hello again dearest friends!!! Boy has this past week been a roller coaster. I went from really happy on Saturday seeing little Dakota to a basket case full of tears on Monday watching coworkers being layed off. I was so wiped out that I actually skipped school Tuesday evening. The rest of week was a blur as we continued to watch people leave. This coming week will start the cleanup session. :guilty:

So how's everyone here???

Amanda...best of luck figuring out the taxes.
RM  I feel for you with the menopause stuff.
Lily come on over with me. I believe I've found some of the yaya excess weight as well. hmm..the ice cream I'm eating isn't helping either.
Elaine  Glad you had a great trip!
Kimmar
Todd has a mini spare tire? ;)
Karen congrats on getting the kids into summer camp. YAY tax refunds.
Nancy sorry your nose is hurting.
Stacey sorry about the flat tire.
Tara  hope the meds/doctor can help ya. Congrats on hitting your goal. Can you send me a PM with the info as well?
Sherry do we need to cheetoh the bank?
Boo's spouting off about AMC...totally agree with you! He's a horrible actor.
JRKaren let us know how you like the ipod!

Yes, I'm guilty of lurking too. Growing up just is NOT all it's cracked up to be.
::yes:: why is it we never believed our parents when they said "enjoy being young"?

Rose Mary - I read where perimenopause can last last for up to 10 years and then actual menopause for around another 10 years. I don't know who to pity more - me or my poor hubby!
neither. pity your daugher. She'll feel the brunt of it...believe me...I know! My mom's been in perimenopause for at least 10 years.

Liz glad to hear the interview went well for you. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Suzanne thanks for the fyi on the Easter Disney items. That's a very sweet story that your papa guided you to your mom. Umm..can you come help me with our taxes please? I'm having major problems with claiming a BIG loss on ESPP shares.

Apparently looks different from Dizzy. Also just released is a Cocoa Bunny, which you can see online. And Vanilla Fudge Bear is coming soon! Saw the new green St. Patty's Day bear there, too. His name is Lucky O'Bear and he is soooooooooo green!! Bright Kelly Green!
Lucky O'Bear is SO CUTE!!!!!! I'm going to have to keep an eye out for the Vanilla Fudge Bear. :cheer2: Curly is anxious for all of the summer stuff to come out. He needs a beach chair and towel for our trip in May :teeth:

Pam your church and pastor are in my prayers!!

Paula I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you on the FAFSA app.

Hmmm..doubt I'll be joining this years craze if it's the ipod. Just not enough justification for it when I'm spending so much on scrapbooking.

Elaine  I hope Cleo is okay.

Shew...feels good to ketchup over here after working on Spanish homework ALL day today! Mad love and hugs to you all.

Kristy! you were doing so well on that healthy eating exercise thing. Hope you get it together and get back on. So sorry about your work situation. Good to have you drop by.

Elaine hope your baby kitty is ok.

Elaine & Pam -- Itchy snowflakes and invisible trains...umm does anyone else see what's wrong with this combination??? :earseek:

Kristy-- I'm Sorry you are a happy basket case on a roller coaster
:rotfl:

I haven't been in a Post It mood today either. I guess I'm as boring as Nancy

:grouphug:

Hello to all ya yas still awake !!!

:wave2:

Went to see Hitch today. Great movie. Sooo funny. :rotfl:
Also did some shopping. Came home and made some meatloaves for my inlaws house tomorrow. My FIL is FINALLY coming home from PR and its BIL's b-day so we're doing meatloaf and mashed potatoes for dinner. (My FIL is sick of rice & beans! LOL)

Lily, love your Eagle pic.

Off to play around with my iPod. :teeth:

Home again, home again, jiggedy-jig.......awww, I bet ya'll are too young to remember that nursery rhyme.

OK, I was wrong---Vanilla Fudge is a BUNNY at BaB!! We stopped at the mall and one of the girls was showing one off. Can't buy them yet, I think she said that next Friday is the release date, but the bunny is absolutely adorable!! Sooooooo soft and silky and bigger than the other one they already carry. We were looking at the already stuffed animals, cuz the line to get your new friend stuffed was pretty long. Dave thought maybe we should get his mom a friend and I was looking them over very carefully. They had several Bearemy Bears in the crowd and I was thinking they were nice when one of them looked at me with his perfectly round little black eyes, wiggled his eyebrows and gave me the cutest grin! I have never been so struck with a face as I was with his, so he just HAD to come home with me. Still haven't settled on a name for him, though. A curly bear was purchased for MIL, so we had to get boy clothes to go under the birthday stuff. We named him Curlee Bearris, cuz he's a Harris!! LOL!! Well, I thought it was funny, anyway........

Why is it that riding in the car, just sitting on your butt, is so exhausting?! I'm beat and still have so much laundry to do tomorrow, besides all the other domesticities that need to get taken care of around here! So, I'm off to beddy-bye. nighty-nite

Evening, all.

My doctor called me around 1 to see how I was doing. He got the message that I'd called yesterday and was following up. The pain I'm experiencing is due to nerves being cut and will probably last up to a month...if it goes longer, he's got things he can do. He called in a prescription for Darvocet and told me not to hesitate calling back if I've got problems, as he's on call all weekend.

We finally got out around 4 and did some furniture shopping. At a small, family run furniture store, we found the living room tables AND the boys dressers-woo hoo! They're both made by major furniture companies, and we'll see if Direct Buy can get them when we go there tomorrow. If not, right back to the place with a deposit on them.

Didn't get to the farm stand, but I think we'll get there tomorrow. Went to Friday's for dinner and they were PACKED! Neil somehow got my cheetos this morning and the dye got him bad, right as we were sitting down at dinner he was inconsolable that he didn't have a particular player's guide to read...I think I need to hide them when they make their way into the house.
Usually, he knows better about the dyes, but sometimes that tummy thinks more than the head.

Gonna go get a soak in the tub...

Suzanne

Pammyins....thought you might like to hear about my day.....

Warning!! Warning!! Warning!!! BEWARE OF CUTE GUYS ON WALKING PATHS!!!!

So first order of business this morning was to return current training shoes for shoes that I REALLY should have bought the first time around!! Anyway I now have some very nice Brooks Adreneline shoes......and they are WAY cuter thant the last ones!!

So, I got me new shoes, more new socks.....

Of course after getting new shoes ya gotta test drive them, right? Greg and I walked through the city for a bit, but I really needed to not be wearing jeans....and needed to lube my feet up, so we decided I would walk at home. It was a beautiful day here....great day for a nice long outside walk.

So I head to our trail which is great. It is all paved and tons of bikers, runners, joggers, dog walkers (who don't seem to clean up after their dogs) and walkers seem to frequent. So, I figured I would try it out today. I am off and walking.....iPod in place and I am on my way. A very attractive guy is pretty much on my tail for about five minutes.....he finally catches up and asks if he can walk with me. Sure, he seems nice enough....and there are LOTS of people around!! Of course we are talking about things, walking the path and what not. So what do you do for a living? Seems like an innocent enough question....right? Well come to find out Mr. Hottie is a male stripper! OK I can deal with the stripper part...he did have a great body, and walked to keep it that way. Then he proceeds to tell me all about the kinky magic show he does with this lady.....ya see he is the assistant and she is the magician......then there is talk about popping out of sawed off boxes in a g string and yada yada yada. Oh boy!! The guy is giving me the creeps now and I still have a mile and a half at least to go!! I think if I was capable of running any distance...I would have!!! So creepy guy tells me he is on the path everyday at this time. NOTE TO SELF......STAY OFF PATH AT 3:00 PM AMD ON!!! He was headed off to stretch, and I thought it was much better to stretch at home......so that is what I did!! I think I am going to stick to my regular route from this point forward!! It was all a learning experiance...and even thought the guy was creepy....I got a great workout in today!! He walks faster than me to beigin with and I was trying to walk faster than him.....Guess that is one way to get a good workout.

Pammy, did you send this guy my way? He totally creeped me out!!!! Anyway, just thought I would share my day with you all....but now I am heading to bed!! I a pooped!!!

I promise a better letchup tomorrow!!

Nighty night!!!

 Stacey that one was great!

Lily I promise I'm back on plan MONDAY!!!!

Beth you're a kindred spirit. :goodvibes I swear my friends think I'm crazy when I tell them that a particular BAB or other stuffed kid was calling out for me to take it home :) Let us know what you decide to name him. Curlee Bearris is such a cute name for your MIL's bear!!!

Suzanne congrats on finding the boys' dressers.

Liz :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Stay off that trail at 3pm :earboy2:

I need to find a good way to use mine in the car though. I think it will require getting a tape deck installed :(
Not a tape deck...they run wires through your glove box and you plug it into your ciggie lighter...SIL had to do that with her mini in her Beemer!

P.S. Tara, I feel for ya, sweetie! I tried to turn in my motherhood card for years and never could find my union leader.........
Yeah, they do seem to disappear when you need them! I know iin time things will improve...I just have to learn to go day by day. I'm going to start going to CHADD meetings around here so I can see that I truly am not the only person facing these issues. I've been mad at the world that since I teach sp. ed. I shouldn't have to have a sped child! Oh well, this too shall pass!

Pam said:
Tara - it's 29 degrees with snow flurries here.... :cold: Maybe you could crawl under the leaves and hide from the family for a little while????
It probably would have been better...cause boy things got really ugly around here! but they have since improved...but more on that after I finish my ketchup. Also what a great hubby for going to the ballet and I've heard that paybacks on things like that are pretty good ;) Good luck at church!

TLinden16 said:
Tara, yeah, you should get an iPod. You totally won't hear the boys if you turn it up loud enough :)
I think I have finally found enough reasons to buy one. May have to splurge when I get my tax return for one...although I REALLY want a new digi camera...it'll be a toss up. sounds like you have a busy schedule coming up...at least you have your iPod on the planes!! I really wanted on last year before my Yaya disney trip...but it was that and no food at disney or it was skip that and eat...food wins every time!

DH and DS off doing "livestock things" with BIL(don't ask).
DD at BF in CT.

For all of you who lost pounds.....please come get them - they will be on my front step Monday morning when the diet starts.....
Uh first...I REALLY don't want to know what that is!! Probably TMI!!!
Second...is that code? Are we supposed to decipher it? :teeth:
Third...uh no thank you but for thanks for asking!!!

Well, we scrubbed the trip over to WDW today. Ed says if I can't walk, it'd be too much to corral the boys and wheel me, too.
My suggestion is that one kid rides on your lap, the other is on Ed's shoulders and then you commando the park like you own the joint!!!

If you got the heavier one you could call that exercising!! I consider going to the bowling alley and having a beer exercise...I do the 16 ounce lift!!!!

That sounds like a perfect way to spend the afternoon!!! Sleep late, relax and then eat chocolate!! I guess when my boys are graduated and moved out I can try that!!! Hope you are feeling less bummed!! as for the menopause thing....don't think of it as hot flashes think of it as power surges!! :teeth:

meatloaf and taters is a far cry from rice and beans!!! Have fun seeing him and the family...oh and I forgot to say 42 pages ago...that I'm glad they did recognize your son's birthday!! good luck with the gifted testing..my DB was in the gifted program and I think that helped him stay in school and not get bored!!

I see how you are Kristy...I finally get my ketchup done and you go and sneat in on me!! Oh and I'll get an email off to you later tonight or tomorrow morning!

okay, now is my EIOP post.

So we know that I've been a little on the foul side for a couple of days!! Things got really ugly today and I really had a major melt down! Got out everything I need to. (too much to try to explain here)

Then mom and I decided to take the kids out to lunch and we promised we both had to think more positively and to work to be more positive about a lot of things that are going on right now!

After lunch we ran to borders so I could look for a book I wnt to do with my kids. Of course they only had one copy so now I need to find at least 1 more but really need two more!

From there we headed to wallyworld. I did shopping for the kids...Jar got new shoes, Ethan got food and a couple of on sale outfits. I also picked up a few last odds and ends that I thought I might need at the scrapping thing i'm going to tomorrow with my TDS friends.

We were headed out when I spotted some clothes in the Georgio or George or Georgette...I dunno some silly named thing. They had a black shirt with 3/4 length sleeves, with pink, black, and white stripped cuffs and neck. The rest of the shirt is this clingy rayon poly blend that feels like youre nekkie under it!! So I picked up a shirt to try on and then found some pants made out of the same material. I picked up the 8/10 knowing it would be too small but wanting to at least hope for better, and I picke dup the 12/14. I then went over to another rack that had sweater set separates. I picked up a pink stretch sleeveless and the the l/s sweater that goes over it. I tried it all on and the 8/10 pants fit!!!!! :Pinkbounc I almost fell over. And as soon as I loose a little more weight you won't notice my tummy!! I had to go up a size in the blouses to the 12/14 because I have always had fat arms and broad sholders. That size doens't really bother me b/c I always wear xl shirts and stuff!

the moral of this tale is that by spending a little on myself I improved my outlook on things. I know that rl is difficult but if I let it eat at me I become this nasty human being. But I can work to improve that and to look at my glass is half full....and the biggest moral of the story....retail therapy can be good therapy and buying a smaller size will do a lot to improve your outlook!!!

Okay, enough of my meanderings!! Everyone sleep well tonight!!!

tara
