Kimmar,
I ordered mine ahead of time from Gifts of a Lifetime - but I later learned that some of the stores at WDW sell them.

I don't know the number of WDW Merchandising - I bet Elaine has it - but if you call them, I would think that you could have one sent right to your house prior to your trip.

They are moving WAY faster than SSB this weekend... that is for certain. Was just down at park, and realized that SSB just can't stay up with them (or at least not smart to... haha!)

They are now all piled on my bed watching Lilo & Stitch as I type her... this I can handle... haha!

Hope that everyone having a great Saturday!!!!

Yay...on the found earring, Karen.

Great news about your DH, Kimmar ::yes::

ovrstock.com  Can't say that in this house....makes flame come out of DH's ears!! Bad, bad experience with them a few months ago. I don't think we will ever be buying from them again. Their customer service was atrocious!!

SSB.....enjoy those movies :) Best way for a parent to relax.

Indeedy... rolling them right into "Elf" right now... haha! Generally would much rather be outdoors running around with them, but know that I have to be smart about, at least this first weekend.

Also had odd experience (after a couple of good ones) with Overstock... where basically got a message that they really didn't have what they were selling... so wouldn't be sending... was just weird.

really have to fly... see y'all later!

Happy Saturday! I feel like such a slug here, I just got out of the shower  and it's nearly 2PM! But, I guess I'm not a TOTAL slug, I baked muffins, cleaned up the kitchen, emptied the trash, cut coupons, made out my grocery shopping list, did a couple loads of laundry, made the bed, and did some general picking up and straightening around the rest of the house. Wish I felt like being more domestic, there is still plenty to be done!! Sun is shining, too and it just doesn't look or feel like January! The flu virus is just flourishing in this warm weather and is running rampant through the schools. We sure could use a good hard freeze for a week or so to kill it.

Elaine! Sorry things have been so tough for you lately and so nice to hear of Luis' sweet gesture with the roses! Certainly sounds like 2005 is going to be much better than 2004 for you two. Your cruise is getting so close, now, too!!

Whoo-hoo, Karen!! Glad to hear the earring was found! I'm thinking about doing a crockpot thing for tomorrow, too. Would certainly make it easier since I go to Bible study right when I would normally be cooking dinner.

JRKaren is doing TLK again?! Too cool!! Dave & I would both like to catch it one of these days. Didn't you say there was a trip to DC in your future? What the status on that and when? You know we'd love to play tour guide or plan a DIS meet for ya!

SSB, sounds like you are having a great time with your young'uns! We just saw Elf a couple of weeks ago for the first time--what a FUNNY movie!!

Kimmar, so good to hear your DH is making such good progress! I know it's been a strain for you and am so happy it's getting easier on ya. Hope you can get that GOH badge for your DS--I've heard all kinds of positive stuff about calling and ordering all kinds of things from WDW--just never actually tried it myself.

What time is dinner, Sherry? Beef Stroganoff sounds soooo YUMMY!! I'm thinking I better add chuck roast to my shopping list. And a french manicure, too?! I just love that look! One of these days I'm going to get my nails all grown out at the same time so I can do it!

Overstock.com, huh? Never heard of it, so I guess I need to check it out! 600 thread count sheets sound sooooo luxurious, Pam! I'm thinking we could use one of those memory foam toppers, too. Just doesn't go with my mental picture of the outdoorsmen you live with, but I guess you've domesticated them to some extent, right?! Sorry you're feeling grumpy now, here's a
hug.gif
. Hope you can sneak in a nap or at least some quiet time for yourself today.

Caroline, hope all works out that you can get whichever position you want at work! Now, could you send a bit of that cold and snowy weather down here?
Yes, I've tried the Walk Away the Pounds and I really like it! I've been sooooo out of shape and still been able to keep up with the program, it's that easy. It's really surprising how good a workout it gives you, too. The arthritis in my knees doesn't like the step programs, so a treadmill or this Walk Away program is about all I can handle besides swimming.

Oh, Nancy!! How frustrating that Christin missed her phone call! Even worse that she had to drive to town to get her message!! Keeping the prayer line wide open, crossing all my fingers and toes (when I'm not typing, that is), and sending out all the good vibes I can for her.

Deena, I'm with you on not parting with the regular DP! Always been my fave, too! Haven't seen any of those new flavors around here, but then, I haven't looked either. Glad you got a bit of cooler weather. Hope all your great boys are making good use of it and staying out of your hair!!

 Hey, Rose Mary!! Hope you are feeling better and your mom is comforted, having you around this weekend. You are all in my prayers.

So, Todd, are you saying it took you over a year to get the lights down from Christmas 2003?! LOL!!! And yes, yes, YES!!! Plan a trip to Virginia and we'll take ya'll to the DC Children's Museum!! An' lots of other neat places, too!

Head's getting cold, better go dry my hair and head out to the grocery store. :grouphug: Catch ya'll later!!

:wave2: Headed to the airport.
Hope everyone is having a great day!

I do the Walk away the Pounds thingee too. (when I do it.....gotta get back).
It is the only thing I can stick too and it is quite a workout!

Sherry I would love your recipe for crockpot strogonoff. My kids love strongonoff and I hate to make the boxed stuff because it has so much sodium and junk in it.

Woooooooofreakinghoooooooo I found my mom's recipe for Italian Chombot. It's an italian dish my mom put together and I love it sooooooo much. I happened to come across a recipe book that her company put together when she worked there and I found the recipe. I couldnt for the life of me remember how to make it. Now I can make it in the crockpot and just let it cook all day!!!! It's a cheap recipie to make too!! Yummmmmmmmmmm!!!!

Tomorrow night I am going to try to make swedish meatballs in the crock. I think I have an idea on how to make thiem. Hope it comes out well. Went to the grocery store all by my lonesome this morning, stealing dh's SUV to do so, and I think I freaked dh out completely since I never go shopping myself LOL!!!

Im in the process of sitting down and making a list of dinners for the week so I can go to the grocery store tomorrow and get what I need for the week. Most everything will be made in the crockpot since it's just so easy for us to work with. I am SO loving this new way of cooking and actually for the first time enjoying figuring out meals and cooking. It's making things so much easier on the family too since dh doesnt have to come home and cook the way he was before. Now he can just come home and relax with the rest of the family and I don't have to play referee keeping them out of the kitchen and bugging him.

I am having just such a good week. Things seem to be coming together and life is just getting so good, calm, serene, relaxing. It's such a switch from our normal daily lives. I'm praying it lasts. I'm doing my best to keep it the way it is now. Had a long long talk with the kids today about the way things have been going and how much we appreciate whats been happening and how this is the way life should be and we want to keep it this way. I think they really understood. It was such a nice give and take convo even with the little one. I really think life will be different now.

Woohoo!!! That's great news. We'll be at Old Key West for the duration of our vacation and no doubt will be checking out the new slide at the main pool. You guys should plan on coming over to visit. We'll have our minivan, so transportation shouldn't be an issue.

And props to Luis for the roses. Sorry that I am so late to the party. I have had a hard time getting onto the DIS today. My computer seems to have forgotten the way here.

Mad love to all.

Hi everyone! Good evening from snowy Boston!

I just got home from the Lion King, and have a neat story to tell. I went with my sister, my niece, and my nieces friends. We were seated up in the balcony, right near the box where one for the percussionists is set up. So, one of the girls with us walked down to the bottom of the balcony to look at the drums from about 10 feet away. So, the percussionist started talking to her, pointing out the drums to her. Then he told her to wait at the top of the stairs that lead to the box after the show, and he would take us down to see the drums. So, after the show, we went down and he spent about 15 minutes with us, telling us about all of the different drums, and showing us how he had modified and made some of them instruments he played. He patiently answered all of the kids questions, and showed them how to play them. It was a really great experience for the girls.

Karen what a neat story and how nice of him to do that for the kids. I bet that made just such an impression on them!!! Im so glad you had a great time. I wish I had seen Lion King when it was here.

Good evening YaYas!

Been playing in my closets today. My but I've been storing a lot of junk! It was like an 80's nightmare in there!

Such a lovable twit you are...
:flower: Elaine... hearing of your roses warms my heart so much! I am very happy for you and Luis! As always... you know where to find me. No hiding, ya hear? ;) Enjoy the solos and I hope the filming is oodles of fun!

I'm still ooohing and aaahing over the thought of Pam's 600 ct. sheets. I have 400 ct. and thought THEY were heavenly. Must try 600!! :)

What a sweet Lion King dude, Karen!! Excellent and memorable experience for the kids!!

A YaYa convention and SSB is in for the first round! Wahoo! One of these days, I WILL make another meet.

How are you feeling this evening SSB?

The PD and prayers are still working overtime for Christin, Nancy. I hope she is able to connect with them soon.

Thanks Todd! That ketchup of yours was a darn good one too!!

Suzanne... when are you having surgery?! Your boys found a buddy and he's leaving?! Well that stinks! :( What sweet compliments you've received lately! Little boosts like that are so nice. Sigh. ...Does a body good. :)

Hi RoseMary! A hello to your mom too!

Er... the paper thing... ummm... well... you know. Never mind. Forget I mentioned it. ;)

Karen!! I remember when you lost that earring!!! It's back!! That's wonderful!!! I just received my first piece of Tanzanite! It is such a beautiful stone!!

Hi'ya Deena! TC! I hope you're both having a great weekend!

Bethie, you were a busy YaYa today! What kind of muffins did you make?

A happy birthday to Kimmar's DH and YAY for his improved condition!! Good news Kimmar!

Hi Caroline! Yeah, I suppose developing the photos would make it a little easier to get them in the book. :p I'm pretty good about developing, but horrendous when it comes to organizing them. At the moment, I'm working on 23 rolls of short track photos. Oye. Going to be one BIG album!

Tom's been glued to his guitar all day, Cam his Nintendo DS and me, the closets. I think I'll drag them away from their toys for a little family time. Maybe a board game or something....

Hi all... busy day. Went to the cemetary, out to lunch, then to the filming stuff for the wrestling. Got home a little while ago.

I swear Caroline is the queen of catch ups now!!! I have to admit, my problem with scrapping would begin with me not developing much of what I take. Then again, that is why I do digital ;)

Oh Nancy, I remember Chad from F&TF as well... he was kind of cute in that movie. But Paul Walker did it in for me... actually much more in the 2nd movie than the 1st.

Sherry, our lights are still up... not on anymore though. Not sure when Luis will get them down.

Deena, your comment about "used diapers" reminded me of a way to keep people from taking your stroller that I read about in the unofficial guide for WDW... take a garbage bag that looks like it has a used diaper in it... they said a bit of rootbeer in the bag helped

Kimmar, happy birthday to your DH! Glad to hear that he is doing better with the food restrictions and gaining weight back!

Ahhh... overstock.com for the bedding... hmm... might have to keep my eye out for good stuff here. I like to feel the sheets before I buy them.

SSB, glad y'all are enjoying the weekend, and more so that you knew when to "break" from running around! Enjoy the movies wiht the kids!

Bethie, if that is being like a slug, then you put me to shame :o

Speaking of putting me to shame... Karen you are too with all this great dinner planning! I ought to do that more... oh well, but sounds like you are definitely getting it all together!

John, I'll be curious what you think of the new slide at OKW. It looked pretty nice from what I saw! And mad love back atcha!

JRKaren, glad you had a good time, and that was really cool what the percussionist did. Then again, I have a thing for those musicians ;)

Yes m'dear ;)

LOL just got back from the grocery store. Got everything for the week for 80.00. I think I did pretty well!!! Dh keeps laughing at me now because I will run to the store by myself at a moments notice. He still doesnt have the crink out of his neck from whipping it around when I announced tonight I was taking eldest and going grocery shopping with his SUV hehehehehhehehehehehehe. This was at 8:00 PM tonight ROFL!!!

Yep Kimmie that would be one in the same earring. I was so upset when it was lost. I managed to get some new earring backs today so tomorrow after they soak in alcohol back in my ears they go! I cant wait. It is such a pretty stone isnt it? What did you get yours in a ring? I cant wait to hear about it.

Elaine you busy girl you. You need to slow down a bit. Congrats on whats going on with Luis. I am so happy for you. May 2005 be all you want it to be especially where that is concerned.

TC I am so glad you didnt slip on the ice. Yikes that would have been horrible.

Oooooooo Pammy 600 Ct sheets must be heavenly.

Caroline you are the ketchup queen. I dont know how you do it. I cant keep my own name straight half the time much less remember lots of stuff here LOL. I hope you get the job you want with the company. I really think you could use a crockpot if you cooked everything on low instead of high. You can cook it for much longer without ruining it if you cook it on low. I have had things cooking for 10-12 hours and they come out fine.

Liz I am STILL laughing about your bath bomb incident. Im sure it wasnt funny at the time but it's hysterical. I could just imagine what I would do in that situation. I will remember to stick to bath salts from B&BW instead of bath bombs from Basin.....although I love their stuff. They have a Lilac soap that smells soooooooooo good and you can only get it in the store. I cant get it online.

...THANK you, E!

Well, I did it....I finally cleaned out the family room and threw out BOTH our XMas trees! YUKKYY!!! Pine needles EVERYWHERE!!

mothy mothy group :p

Elaine I agree...if that's what Beth calls being a slug then I'm a really really dirty slug ;)
JRKaren that is a GREAT story about Lion King and the girls getting to see the details of the drums
LOL Pam...the bothers have a softer side? hehhehe
okay...someone needs to enlighten me on this whole thread count with sheets. I just buy whatever sheets Target has on sale
Nancy I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Christin. Sorry she has to wait till Monday to find out anything.
Kimmar glad to hear your husband is on the mend.
Shep it's great to see you here again!!!!
TC....your gimps around the world comment had me rolling this morning when I read it.
Elaine I am so happy for you that everything is working out at home.
Karen CONGRATS on getting back your "lost" earring!!! LOL at hubby's neck crink. How on earth did you get all the groceries for 80.00?? Should you be teaching me coupon clipping lessons??? Our groceries are always over 100 and there's only TWO of us here
SSB your speedy recovery is amazing. How many movies have your little ones watched in a row?? I think I need to come hang out with them ;)
HAHAHA Kimmie had an 80's nightmare in her closet!!
Suzanne sorry to hear that your son is losing a buddy. Yes...what is the date of your surgery??
Caroline if you switch positions what would you be doing?? Good luck in the decision making. At least work is quiet enough so you can think about it :)
Sherry just send the snow my way...I'll be happy to take it and send you this 70 degree weather.
Oh Beth...thanks for the chicken and bbq idea. I cooked that in the crockpot today and it was pretty darn good. I let the chicken cook a little too long so it was starting to dry out..otherwise it was very good.
 RoseMary, Deena, and Tara
I really hope I got everyone in that ketchup..if not I'm very sorry.

I got up this morning around 8:30, cleaned the kitchen, did some laundry, got the crockpot going and then I headed for the mall to have Dakota pictures taken. She was a perfect baby for the camera. After the pictures were done we had lunch and visited Build-a-Bear. Sasha is the latest member to our family. I'll post pictures of her tomorrow. So once we were done at the mall Amanda, Dakota and David(Amanda's boyfriend) came back here to hang out and have dinner with us. It's so great to spend some quality time with them where everyone else isn't trying to get a hold of the baby. She's mine...all mine :teeth:
Today's pictures:

EVening, all.

Drive by here-was in a funk for most of the day. Got better when I got home, but I had a cry before I got here. I am NOT one to cry, but things have been getting to me, work wise. That's all I'll say about it.

Went out, and Kevin decided not to order dinner...then proceeded to vomit just before the food was put on the table. Put things in perspective-had to take care of the little guy.

Surgery's on the 27th, and I'm counting down...

Walked through my house tonight, in the dark. Wanted to see how the framing matched up with the internal blueprint. Kitchen is a little wider than I recalled, but other than that, it was amusing. I was pointing out where the slop sink goes and Ed says "no, not there" and I had the water lines to prove I was right, lol! They hooked us up to the sewer lines today. Always important to have that indoor plumbing, I don't want the portapotty in the front yard to be a permanent ornament!

As we walked out of the house, we met one of our older neighbors doing her nightly constitutional. She says there are lots of kids for the boys to play with and was VERY nice. The best part of going at night was hearing how quiet it is-and I got to see that there isn't all that much ambient light. I love star gazing, and I'll get to enjoy that. I used to lay out in my hammock when I had the house on a mountain and just stare at the sky, and I'll probably be doing that here.

Yep, this is nearly a complete EIOP...sorry. I do love those pictures of Dakota, Kristy!

Suzanne
