Holy cow...4 pages since last night???? Let's see how much I remember:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEENA!!!!
Sherry sorry about Junior getting sent home again.
Liz, Lily, RM, and Amanda hope you get rid of the germs very soon
Karen hope your day goes better
Liz...it's Spanish this round. New pics of Dakota will be up Saturday night. She's 5 months old as of today :)
Nancy...YAY on the scrapbook room. I'm really hoping to work on my book soon.
Beth....HIYA!!! Good to see ya and I'll be flipping through your pics tonight :)
Tara LOL at your eating journal...my days haven't gone so well. Derek is layed up in bed with a bad back so we had pizza and breadsticks last night. However...I have brought my lunch to work every day this week. Try to ignore the moutain dew I got from the machine this morning ;)
BOO!!!! You pop in at all the right times....you're a funny funny lady.
Kama HIYA! Always good to see dork boy popping in ;)
HIYA TC and Alan

ummm...I really hope I haven't missed anyone...if I did..sorry.

gotta pretend to work again

RM Im so sorry you are not feeling well. Oh no not only the yucckies but the tummies too??

My boys are with me at work. Little one came in to be shredder boy and shred all the stuff we needed done and the eldest came in to help take down all the christmas stuff. This is giving daddy a break to get the bathroom finished. My boss is off this afternoon so they are just hanging with me and my coworker. I can't wait till the day is over though. I just dont feel like doing any more today. Im getting tired.

This day just wont end. Fifteen more minutes. I can make it, I can make it ROFL. I am just so not in the mood for anything this afternoon.

I'm supposed to go to Team Kid tonight but I'm really not sure I'm going to go. I really should stay home and rest. That does put dh in kind of a pickle though because I'm supposed to be there so that he is free to sub if needed. If I'm not there and because I didnt call the director and tell her I'm not going to be there she has no sub. Decisions Decisions. I just kinda feel like being a slug tonight and not doing anything.

Nancy I meant to say CONGRATULATIONS on your scrapbooking room being finished. I bet you will have a blast setting it all up!!!

Pammy I'm so sorry Amber has to go back to school and not feeling well too. Poor kiddo. Poor mom.

Yowza .. I'm sooo behind! Gonna need the king size ketchup bottle this time! I don't even have a good excuse for being busy - just been running around doing stuff. Since our on-shift days are so long, we rarely get anything else done for those days, plus with the holidays thrown in and things being closed it's been an age since we did fun stuff like grocery shopping. We spent most of this morning at the dentist, which was good because we hadn't been in about 2 years :rolleyes1 I came away with no cavities though! That's monumental for me. I guess not drinking sugary pop at home for the last year has had an impact. Poor Scott had 7 cavities, and they messed up one side of his mouth pretty bad. Still, those cavities are from 2 years ago, and he hadn't been for *10* years before that, so 7 cavities is pretty good, I think. Plus he's cute when he's drooling on one side. :teeth:

Ok .. my last ketchup was, oh, 10 pages ago. Let's see how this goes! Pull up a chair ... lol.

Beth, the ferrets do get a little stinky sometimes, although it depends on how they're being kept. We change our guys 'bed sheets' once a week, and they don't really smell at all. Even my mom declared them 'stink free' and she thought my old ferrets reeked - heehee. Loved your pictures!

Sherry, I'm so glad to hear Junior doesn't need any surgery, but it's a shame he had to come home anyway. I hope he can be back at work soon. Sorry to hear your SIL is having a rough time. PD going out to her.

Nancy, giving that new food processor a spin yet? I got a fancy-pants drink maker for Christmas, but I have no idea where to put it. I have some cool appliances, now I just need a cool kitchen.

Alan, it's funny because we don't say 'soda' around here either, really. Southern Ontario's a 'pop' area. Soda had her name when we got her from the shelter. I don't know who named her, but they mustn't have been from around here. ;)

Elaine, your cruise sounds like fun. I've looked at them, but I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to open water, heh. I'll be waiting to hear details. IPod! Cool!

Boo, the ferrets do make good neck warmers, but they have a tendency to stick their little cold noses in ears!

Karen, glad you're finding time to use your B&BW goodies. They sound great. Sorry to hear your crock pot broke. I've never had one of those. Do you use it a lot (well, did you I guess)? Hope you're 100% mended soon.

Suzanne, local strawberries! In January! Sooooo Jealous! Sounds like your new house is buzzing along too.

Kimmie, pets in the peanut brittle? Well, I hope they enjoyed it at least. And I bet Tarzan would ice skate, for the right woman. ;)

Liz, hope the job hunting is going well. Sorry you're not feeling well though. Take care of yourself. You guys don't have Coffee Crisp down there?! :earseek: *makes note to bring a crate to grad school*

Pam, hope you didn't get too much freezing rain.

Rose Mary, that tattoo is really pretty. Do you have other ones already? I'd like to get a tattoo (someday - heh).

Amanda, hope you're feeling better. Show that infection who's boss!

JRKaren, sorry to hear you've been down in the dumps a bit. Given the circumstances, it's definitely understandable. I hope you're feeling better soon. I hadn't heard about the dining experience thing .. that's cool. Might have to look into that.

Tara, your weight loss club post made me laugh out loud (the voice over part). Good job with your first few days! I'm on the weight loss bandwagon again, starting Friday (easiest to start on a day shift day for me). Looking forward to reading (and posting!) about some success soon. Scott says Roy Dupuis has been in some french Canadian movies lately (courtesy the IMDB) but I haven't seen him on tv anywhere lately. I'll keep my eyes peeled for ya, though. ;)

Lily, best of luck on the 1/2! :cheer2: Wave to Mickey for me.

Deena, Happy Birthday!!!

Hi Kimmar, TC and Kristy!

Ok, I made it to the end .. 9 pages! Did I forget someone? Probably, so please forgive me. Hope all those under the weather (one way or another) are feeling better/less stressed soon! I'm gonna go brush my teeth to get nasty dentist taste out! Talk to ya later.

Oh no! Now RM is sick too. :( Hope you feel better soon.

Back from shopping :) Love sales!!

TC....be careful on that ice.
Our frost is so think now, it looks like snow.....but the sun is shining, which makes the hill even worse. Nice and slick :( Hate it!

Beth....interesting pictures. I think Little Karen stole the show.

Yes, Kimmie, I have a scrap book room....but it probably isn't much bigger than your area. But it has walls to keep the cats out of the middle of everything. At the moment that's all it is. I need to get some tables and a rug and then I can get organizing and haul all my goodies out of the closet where they have been for years!! (But I still kept buying things ;) ).
So...my first question. Scrappers...what do you keep your papers in so they are easy to see and get to?

Christin actually went out to go check out a place for employment. Maybe me getting mad at her last night for being out until 4:00 had something to do with it
I think I liked her away at school where I didn't have to know what she was doing.

Got to go put all my goodies away.

Ummm... y'all would believe me if I said I was just tired and don't wanna catch up... nothing personal, right?

Good, that settles it :teeth:

:wave2:

Hey all.

Caroline yes I have been using my crockpot a lot lately. I didnt before but I can tell ya coming home and having dinner ready is great. Keeps us from eating out as much as we were before.....much healthier. I do have a second crockpot that we have been using since the oblong one broke.

I decided I am NOT going to Team Kid tonight. The guys will all go but I will stay home and rest. This was my decision totally which is a switch for me LOL. The director might not be happy but my health comes first and I think she understands that. Im begining to really get the breakup of the cough and I want it to continue. Its the only way Im gonna get totally better. I can't risk picking something else up from someone else and going backwards. I think I might just run a bathy and relax while the guys are gone tonight. Gonna just do some stuff for me and take care of me tonight.

Whatcha displayin'?:) They wouldn't be bright....WHITE...SKIIIIVIES, now, would they???? :earseek:

Can take the gal away from the Yayas, but ya can't take the YAYA out of the gal! :cheer2:

Now, Jeannie, just cuz I don't like my standard white issue underpinnings......Besides, I've branched out--got red ones and green ones for Christmas!!!! If I ran all 3 up the flagpole, somebody would think we were Eyetalian or sumpthin'!!!

OK, so I'm not going to be able to finish my ketchup........dang work! Wish it could be PRETEND like SOME people's!! I'd like to go home tonight before I have to rush back out to choir practice, too......

All this crockpot talk has me looking at them online. ;)

Nancy, any chance of any scrapbook room pics? It sounds pretty cool.

Karen, enjoy your bath.

Beth, hope you get to relax tonight too.

Hi Elaine! :)

So I decided even if I'm not 'counting' the day as an on-track day, I'd break out the Firm dvd anyway and get some exercise. I don't think I did a single Firm in December (see WDW trip, holidays, being sick, general craziness). I knew it was bad, but I wasn't prepared for how much I'd fallen back. So I'm more than a little disgusted with myself. :( But I did finish the hour, and I did all but 4 minutes of it (walking it out to prevent passing out .. heh). I even went ahead and did the abs part after I promised myself I wouldn't have to if I finished the legs. So I guess all is not lost. Definitely time to get it back in gear though. :moped:

Sorry Caroline...no pictures :(
Still trying to get that part of my computer back on track :(
That's why Lily is wearing her jammies. I can't get her new outfit up yet :( So sad. It is so cute too.

I really need to go put things away now......;)

Ohhh...I'm booking a flight to CA for March :bounce:

Good evening, everyone!

I hope that everyone had a good day. I got a bit of bad news at work today. One of my bosses is retiring, and we were hoping her number two would step in and take over. The company told him that isn't going to happen, and now he is likely going to leave as well. So, I guess I'm going to be in for some changes at work. These bosses are based out of DC, and basically leave me alone--I hope the new person does the same.

Nancy, I bought a plastic accordian folder for my papers. It has 13 slots, and I keep them in there by color. I have a large see through folder for large scraps, and a small see through folder for small scraps.

Caroline, congrats on no cavities. You get a gold star ;)

Karen, glad you are staying in and relaxing. Don't let me hear you changed your mind. You need to relax.

Elaine, hope that you get some rest too. If you're too tired to post, you must need rest.

Rose Mary, sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Amanda, I didn't realize you lost your mom so close to when I lost my mom. Just eight days apart. My parents were just a few months shy of their 50th anniversary when my mom passed away.

Kimmie, today's your birthday too? Every day is Kimmie's birthday. She needs to buy us cake.

Bethie, thanks for linking to the pictures. Looks like little Karen had more fun than anyone, but that's too be expected since it is my goal to have more fun than anyone else. Of course, you failed to get pictures of little Karen short sheeting your bed, and serving you drinks from a dribble glass. Now those pictures were funny.

Liz, it looks like you need a map of where the Yaya folks live. I mean you've been thinking I'm from Boston for ages--I'm really from Iowa, you know ;) Or is it Idaho.

John, take it easy on that ice. Don't want you having to go through all that surgery and PT again.

Deena, Happy 40th birthday! Hope it's a great one :) I'm impressed that you had 28,358 great boys at such a young age.

Sherry, hope you and the boys enjoyed your no school day!

Lily, good luck with the marathon. We'll miss you. Visit my bar for me.

Hello to everyone else.

JellyrollsKaren

Nope Karen I didn't change my mind. I am at home relaxing and just puttering around. It's so nice to have just a little time all to myself. I think I might make this a weekly thing. Not every Team Kid Night but maybe just have dh take the kids out for a little while once a week so that I can have some down time. Not sure how he will feel about it but I know he doesn't want me sick again. I'm lucky though he is a great father and husband and he really does take care of us very well and treats us wonderfully. I am very blessed with him.

I am so sorry to hear about your bosses. I hope you get the type of boss you want over you. Nothing worse than having a bad boss or one thats up your tush all the time.

Nancy...good luck getting the computer together, would love to see the new pictures of Lily.

JRKaren...yep, just a little apart. It is rough, but the hardest part for me has been helping my Dad through it and watching how rough it has been on him. Appears our parents were 10 years apart in their anniversary celebrations.

Karen...glad you are enjoying your alone time.

Beamsoflight...you motivated me. Even though I am not 100% feeling better I did 20 minutes of pilates tonight. You still did better than me, but thanks for the motivation. Mandy was laughing at Cassie as she exercised with me. I told her she should try it if she thought it was so easy. Needless to say it didn't go well and she wasn't happy.

Beth...I know about PRETENDING at work. My boss sits right behind me, there are times I have to do that.

Back to work for me tomorrow. I dread the e:mail. Why can't I have a job that my work gets completed for me when I am gone. I miss that type of job, although I also hated cleaning up other's messes that they didn't always finish. I just hope my body cooperates and I can stay out of the restroom:rolleyes:

A whole scrapbook room--that must be great. Heck even the scrapbook corner sounds great too, lol. I just keep my stuff on a bookshelf and unpack what I need. When I crop at home sometimes its at the table but I have had to crop on the floor before. As for paper holders they have some 12x12 plastic folders that close up at Wal-mart for $1.97 each. They do hold a decent amount of paper--I think--but then again I dont have tons of stuff since I have only been at it less than a year. I also use 2 gallon ziplock baggies when I want to keep certain things together that are going on the same LO. Its a perfect size for the paper and I keep whatever embellishments Im going to use in that LO in there too. It makes it so easy to keep up with stuff.
Sorry to hear there are still some sickies out there and I hope Sherry didnt hurt anyone today PMSing.

Hi all!

Just got home and had to pop in and tell y'all, I am going to be an aunt again!! WOO HOO! My BIL & SIL are having a baby. They stopped by this afternoon to tell us. YAY! I'm sooo happy.

Rose Mary, feel better soon!

Lookout Liz.....Caroline is running away with the ketchup bottles ;) :p

RM meant to say earlier that I love that tattoo pic.

Caroline....check out allrecipes.com for crockpot stuff. I love mine...really should cook with it more. I just have a paranoia about leaving it on while we're at work all day.

Nancy I like to use the filemates from Michaels or Walmart for the papers. There are many dividers and they actually hold the 12x12 paper.

Karen I hope your schedule gets easier so that you can get some rest. Let the hubby and kids feed themselves for a change :)

Night night Elaine!

YAY Sherry that's WONDERFUL news!!!! Congrats!

Amanda I hope tomorrow is a good day for you. I know the feeling of working never ending and no one else there to do it when you're gone.

Beth you want us to cheetoh the bosses for ya? :teeth: GREAT pictures!!!

JRKaren sorry to hear you've been done. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that the next bosses stay out of your hair.

Okay....I know somebody must have sneated by now so HI! to whoever it is :teeth:

Off to watch Law and Order and have a big bowl of popcorn.

Great news, Sherry.

Okay...do those holders hold lots of paper? I am a nut about stationery things anyway and have a LOT of paper saved up.

A whole room??? Well, it does have walls, but it is a tiny room....just a section of the basement.....5 x 10'....so don't get these grand ideas for it. It will be functional, but that's about it. A place to spread all this stuff all over and close the door and leave it.

I'm beat tonight.....going to bed :wave2:

Evening, all.

Long day at work, grrr. So long that my vertigo is announcing its presence with authority, grrr. Bright spot is that I worked so long that I don't have to be there for inventory tomorrow night-but I still need to finish counting stuff in the morning.

Happy Birthday, Deena! Just think, you're three teenagers-came up with that one last week when one of my employees was having a party for teenagers and invited me-I told him I was almost three teenagers all by myself!

Oh gosh, my brain is so fried, I can't remember anything. Oh yeah, after 20 years in retail, I'm a camel. Even if I drink a gallon of water, not that I do that very often. Then again, I get mistaken for PG even when I'm not overweight-can anyone fund the tummy tuck for me?

Today's weather report (I think, as I went into work at 7am and didn't come out until o dark thirty) was 70's and sunny, with a nice easterly breeze for a change. Think if I keep doing it, it will entice some of my yaya sistahs to join me, Karen and Rosemary in the Sunshine state, lol.

I have it on good authority that the walls were framed today. I won't see it until tomorrow afternoon, though, and at the rate they're going, they could have the house almost done. This is a pleasant experience-the townhouse had taken six months, with no promise of delivery date. The builder said 175 days (hence the countdown) and the pace of work seems to hold to that date!

Sorry if I'm a little ditzy, sleep is beckoning. I'll do a better ketchup tomorrow night.

Suzanne

Hugs Suzanne. I hope the vertigo gets better. There is nothing worse than that feeling. Get some good sleep and I hope it will be better for you by morning. Too Kewl about the wall framing going up. It wont be long now!!!
