My husband is officially nuts, but I love him all the same. At midnight tonight, Half Life 2 is going on sale... he will be at Best Buy at mightnight to get his copy. His thoughts on this... it is only one hour after wrestling ends and he will save about $20 on it. I say fine... crazy boy ;)

Nancy, have your eyes on Jeannie's boy? :p

:wave2:

Nancy, I got Sissy the red velvet dress. :teeth: And black velvet Beary Jane shoes. :teeth:

No pics yet, Elaine. I don't even have the outfit on her yet. :o

NO.....I only have eyes for my guys!! ::yes::
Just thought maybe a mention would get Jeannie to pop up, if she is lurking :wave2: Hi Jeannie!! ;)

That is the outfit my friend got her monkey, Tika, Sherry. It was so pretty. Lily has the other dress .....Mrs. Santa.....and the cookies. She'll be wearing it Dec. 1st :teeth:

Morning all!

Having probs with the DIS this morning.

Sissy will be wearing her outfit Dec. 1, too. :teeth:

OK, time to wake the boys already!

:wave2:

Morning....it is raining here. Hope it stops, I am so tired of taking the girls to gymnastics in the rain.

Busy week for me and next week will be worse. I have to come to work to relax. ;)

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning all!!!

Silly little Christmas question for y'all. Am I one of the few who follows Advent for the Christmas season? This year Advent starts on the 28th and I figure everything should be up and decorated at the start of it. All the Dec 1st talk made me wonder. Just curious... I could be an odd one :p

Sherry, I've seen that outfit... very very cute! I am sure Sissy will look wonderful!

Nancy, I didn't figure you really had your eye on her man... kind of like you said it in case Jeannie was lurking... and if she was hoping it would get her to say something to you ;) Hi Jeannie :love2:

Yucky rainy morning here too, Amanda. I hope you get to relax at work.

Still feeling tired and achey today, but not near as bad as yesterday.

Elaine...the process for our's starts next week with ornaments added on Thanksgiving day. We don't put decorations up till later though.

Bumping back to page 1.

Elaine, we don't follow Advent, but I usually put up my decorations the day after T-day or that weekend.

Junior & Jared went to Dads & Donuts at his school. :) They have coffee & donuts for the dads and the kids get to browse the book fair. Jared has a couple books he wants to get.

Have some errands to run this morning.

Rosemary--:wave2:

Hugh--:duck:

John--Not ruling Cleveland out YET for next year, Chicago on the other hand is out(that traffic is terrible)..

Columbus Zoo meet sounds like a great idea...:hyper:

Just say away from our Cruise date..

Sherry--thats ridiculous about Jrs appointment being cancelled..

Oh yeah--Elaine--I still have Christmas lights on the house from last year..:o wonder if they'll still work..:jester:

I was just curious... in our house it was an unwritten rule that trees and decorations had to be up for the Christmas season. Which means we always put them up on TG weekend. That way if Advent falls the Sunday of TG weekend, we are still good ;) I do kind of wish that this year were a bit more relaxing that weekend. Cooking is less stressful than going to my Grandma's and Aunt's ;)

Sherry, I hope that they have fun this morning. Sounds like a nice thing for the kids and parents :)

Gee Todd, what's wrong with Chicago traffic? You seemed to handle it fine that year you followed us through downtown :p I like driving for the convenience of it, but I hate having to leave at the wee hours of the morning (both ways) in order to miss traffic

If we do a meet, we'll definitely avoid the cruise dates for y'all.

As for those lights... just go outside now and flip them on... hopefully you won't have any bulbs to replace :p

Good morning.

Yes, Elaine, you are odd :p

We actually don't put our tree up until mid Dec......well, maybe a little earlier this year. That came from having a live tree usually. They never lasted long enough. But now with an artificial, I can get it going a bit earlier. Probably the weekend of 4th.
When the kids were young, we only put up one decoration a day, alternating who chose, until tree day. But now I do it all at once over a couple of days.
I hope we get lights up this year. Never got that far last year. And the 8' Santa......hope that makes it up too.

Can't wait to see all the BaB's in their holiday duds :teeth:

Errands here today too. Must get Christmas shopping done soon.....I want to get the mailed ones out.

Have a good day everyone.

Elaine,
We don't follow Advent tradition here - but DD fusses if we don't get the tree and decorations up on Thanksgiving weekend.

Growing up, we had real trees and never got them until around my Mom's birthday, Dec. 10th.

Nancy - I am working on my Exchange and will have it mailed out by the end of Nov. I went to Pitts. to pick up DD and we were going to Hooter's and another place to pick up one of the gift items - and well.... we are simple, country folk and missed the turn because of the stupid MapQuest directions calling 376 Rt. 22! And DD, who was driving said she wasn't making any turns and risking getting lost. She is not coming home this weekend, but I will be picking her up a week from today and I hope to get my shopping done.

So - Elaine, I didn't get my wings from Hooter's!   :sad1: Speaking of Hooter's: am I a bad mom for shopping at Hooters.com and buying my DS a calendar, boxer shorts, license plate holder, t-shirt and dog leash for Christmas?:o

Amanda, hope the rain disappears for you.

Hi Lizzie McQuire!

DS missed school yesterday. He got sick over the weekend with a sore throat and a cold but didn't think it was bad enough to go to the doctor....

Oh - did I ever mention that DD got a beta fish for her dorm room - and that it's name is Nemo? She has Tinkerbell & Sleeping Beauty posters, and a Cinderella alarm clock, along with her Aurora BaB!!princess:

Pammy, you raised her right ;) I love all her Disney stuff :teeth:

Oh and you are not a bad mom for that at all! Didn't I tell you that Luis' and my first "date" was at Hooters? Seriously!!! Nothing wrong with that place at all :teeth:

Your Disney talk remined me of something... last night Luis went to a sub place and brought me home a meatball sub. We were watching a little TV across the great room as we ate and Everybody Loves Raymond was on. Apparently Ray had said something about his daughter not being like Snow White and being oppressed while doing house chores (or somethign along those lines) to his mother. Well the first thing out of my mouth was "Cinderella" because that is who he described in so many words. Two seconds later, Robert said "Cinderella" and Luis just busted up laughing. He said it wouldnt' have been quite as funny if I hadn't "corrected Ray" just moments before.
You just had me thinking that my mom must have raised me right ;)

Page 3!

Did some grocery shopping this morning. Also had to run out and get Tinkerbell a new litter box. She's already christened it. ;) :teeth:
Heading out in a few to get some things for Jonathan for a school project he has to do.

I'm hoping we get around to getting lights up this year. Last year we didn't get them up cuz of Junior's surgery. :(

Oh yeah! Almost forgot.....Elaine, while at Sam's I saw a display for Antonio's new cologne. :teeth: Didn't get to smell it. Have you seen it yet?

Antonio has a new cologne? Seems that I have no idea what my cabana boys are up to these days... all doing things and leaving me in the dark :(

:p

Oh man I just gave the dog a bath in the bathtub and put my whole lower back into wicked spasms. It hurts so much its taking my breath away. I should have known to have dh do it. I even tried getting into the bathtub instead of hanging over it and that didnt help.
