Good Morning All!!

I could use some prayers and pixie dust. There is a big meeting at church today about Dh and my resignation from the Childrens Ministry. They do not want us to quit so we are having a meeting about our concerns with all involved. Im quite nervous.

Got my hairs done yesterday and my eyebrows lightened and I can't believe how nice it came out. It is EXACTLY the way I wanted it. It is so nice to go to someone who doesnt TELL YOU what they will do and allows you to tell them what you want. She adjusted the color to more gold and it looks GREAT. I already made my next appt with this lady and will go to her from now on. She is even much cheaper than the person I was going to!!

Lily are you okay?? Im worried about you.

Elaine congrats on getting the tree up and fluffed and that only ONE light needed to be replaced. Thats remarkable! Did you get the ornaments on last night?

Good morning everyone!

Had a nice day with my family yesterday. Everyone enjoyed my homemade sauce and meatballs (I make a darn good sauce for an Irish/Scottish/French Canadian gal), and we just had a nice afternoon of chatting and just being together. We went to my mom's grave and sang happy birthday, too. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I think being together really helped.

Today, I'm going to my cousin's daughter's birthday party. My cousin (a single woman) adopted a bay from China two years ago, and her birthday (at least the birthday the folks in China gave her) is tomorrow. She is going to be three years old.

Good morning, all!! Beautiful sunny day today, but the thermometer says 33º!! BBRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!! Today is my "I love sherpa" day, I think!

Had a blast at the crop yesterday afternoon and am very tempted to skip church and head back over there this morning. But we are singing a special anthem today and sopranos are in short supply of late, so I will be good. I'll still be able to get a good 4 hours in today. That's probably 4 more pages and any progress is great!

Karen, hope all goes well with your meeting today. Keeping you in my prayers, for sure. Surely they will understand with the stress you and DH are under with your medical concerns and all!

Nancy, those pix were fantabulous!!! The castle turned out better than I expected with the pink! I think all the grey stone helps to temper it, as well. And the Potatoheads!!!! OMG, they are just toooo, toooo cute!! Love the princess hat and the crown, especially!! Must add to my collection next month!

Laine, I am soooo impressed with you getting so much done in decorating already! We have a 7.5 ft prelit tree, too and I like to let it rest and play with it for several days before putting on the ornaments. I've never called it "fluffing", but I think that's what I'm doing!! I have a feeling we'll be hauling the stuff out next weekend

Oh and I can't do *really* hot stuff so Pizza Hut has a totally teriyaki sauce that isn't very teriyaki-ish but has a bit of a bite to it... perfect

Bethie, glad you had fun cropping. I am laughing though, our choir never seems short on sopranos... seems everyone here wants to be one

After spending most of hte day on the tree, I didn't get anything else done after fluffing. I tried to do something else... hated what I had so I gave up since I didn't feel like going shopping.

My hands are in awful shape... really dry and scratchy looking, but when I put lotion on, it stings like crazy. Gotta see if I have any curel lotion left from my tattoo... that stuff is usually more gentle.

Hey All,

Things went pretty well at the meeting. Dh and I will be staying on with the Childrens Ministry for now. Lots of things were said that needed to be said. No hard feelings from anyone but a few uncomfortable moments for some. We lifted those people up though and made them understand how really important they are and that just because one or the other thing is happening that doesnt make them less important. Just some things have to change.

Went to Walmart after church. Eldest DS needs dress clothes for the All County Honors Orchestra performance on Wednesday Night. We got everything but shoes. I am very very convinced that they were right about their feet growing at a very rapid pace after starting growth hormone. The shoes we bought him for last years performance are FOUR SIZES too small!!! I couldnt find any dress shoes at Wallyworld. I have to figure out where we can go to get them before Wednesday Night.

Welp better get eldest ds on the puter to do his book report. WHY do they always wait until the weekend before it is due? Its not due until Thursday but he has rehersal on Tuesday Night and the performance on Wednesday Night.

Elaine Im so sorry you are hurting. I hope it gets better soon. If you can get to the store Eucerin Cream is great for treating the skin. I use it when my hands get all chapped and raw.

Welp go DS's shoes. After he informed me that the book he needed to use for his book report was at school we decided to go to Payless and see if they had dress shoes. I was not holding out any hope since their stock lately has seemed very limited and geared towards girls. We found a really nice pair at a great price though!!! I even got a pair of dress shoes for me for Dh's Christmas Party....go figure I buy the shoes BEFORE buying an outfit LOL!!!

Everyone! Got my new mattress this evening and I can't wait to try it out. New sheets, new blankets and finally using my comforter I've kept packed away for just this very thing. I'll be in tonight. Now all I need to do is find a bed I like.

Elaine, I sure hope your hands are feeling better. I still have some Curel from when I got my tatoo if you need it. Did they also have you use Dial soap? Your tree sounds likes it's coming along beautifully.

Karen-Glad your meeting went well and you found shoes for DS and yourself, woohoo!

Found my Curel, but thanks to you both for the offer and suggestion. Really the only one that never stings when I use it. Btw, Rose Mary, any pics for us with yoru tattoo? Or do I have to wait a couple weeks I did use dial anti-bacterial for mine. I also have some anti-microbial soap that I like even more now (used on my piercing).

Karen, glad you got some shoes! Good luck finding a dress to match yours

Not a good morning around here Michael wanted to stay home today--apparently he hadnt dont something he was supposed to for one of his classes Was very mad I wouldnt let him stay home because of it. Although, sadly, I really wanted to let him but I knew I shouldnt so off he went. I feel sorry for him because he goes to school all day works close to everyday as well, but he did have off all day yesterday. Sometimes its no fun being a mom I dont really enjoy the "lesson learning" days.

Congrats on 2000 posts Suzanne. Rose Mary Elaine will have to take picture of your tatoo so we can all see it.
