Good morning, all!! Well, the sunshine was short-lived and we are back to gloomy skies today. Had to laugh when I heard the forecast this morning, though. Expected high today is 60º with a low tonight of 55º and a high tomorrow of 77º!!!!! Like, where did the fall weather go??!!! Low 70s for Sunday, so the trick or treaters won't need to wear their parkas under their costumes this year!!
I'm feeling sooooo much better than I was earlier this week--like Amanda, I'd say I'm at about 95%! Unfortunately, DH is REALLY bad and actually called in sick to work today. I think it's the 2nd sick day he's taken in the 5+ years he's been there!!!
WELCOME HOME, ROSE MARY!!!! Love the haunted hotel you got to stay at!! Understand about the bonds you've formed with your coworkers, but that's good. Hopefully, it will make for a more familial atmosphere at the office! Glad you're home and hope to see you 'round the Ya Ya Spa more often!!
Todd, I can certainly sympathize with you on the rain. We've been mostly dry this week, but the overcast and heavy clouds sure do a number on my spirits. :-( Very depressing!! So, will the girls be trick or treating this weekend? Maybe they can feed you some chocolate to raise that endorphin level a bit!!
Amanda, I'm so glad to hear you are feeling better! Good enuff to make iced pumpkin sugar cookies, no less!!! What a lucky bunch of people to have you in their workgroup!! Hope you continue to improve and have a great day!
Pam, I take it you WON'T be sending out your exchange via UPS??!! I'm so sorry that is still giving you such problems. I can't imagine trying to work with a computer that keeps crashing like that.

Have some roadkill stew and try to relax. In fact, why not take the next 2 days off?? Tell the boss I said it was OK!!

for Laine, too. I know a bit about what it's like to have to work in a tension-filled atmosphere. Not the kind of thing you REALLY want to have to wake up for, right?! Is the tea working yet?

Hopefully, things will work out and it won't be as bad as you think. I know, I know.......pipe dreams.......
Tara, I'm with the others behind you. You really DID the right thing by making sure the "chain of command" was kept apprised of the situation. Of course, the AP is ticked off because you "told on her" and her trying to make it look like you did bad was probably her way of striking back at you. Sounds like she wants you to be an enabler and help her to keep her short-comings under the rug!! Stand your ground, girlfriend!
So, Sherry, how's that cleaning coming? I admit, I'm one who lets things go and then when there's company coming......look out!!! Good luck with all those hoydens in the house!! Hope you can find time to just enjoy your company while they're here.
Nancy, Nancy!! You are soooooo good!!! Thanks for getting the exchange names out and keeping tabs on all those surveys and such! And I'm heartbroken--no more pumpkin bars?!

Good thing today is my payday and I can go grocery shopping for the ingredients to make some myself!
Deena, that is really sad that the school principal won't support your efforts to help motivate those kids! Been through it and I know for a fact that sometimes, those little rewards provide that little extra push that keeps the kids going and allows them to succeed.

good luck with it! Good news on the car, though! Whoo-hooo!! What great service dept. to go to those lengths for you!!! They could certainly teach Liz's dealership a thing or two!!
Speaking of Liz.....

Hey, girlie!!

for the rest of ya'll who haven't checked in recently. Missing ya's!!
