Hi Rose Mary

I have been doing great. I just don't have the spare time that I used to. DD has been busy and when she is busy I am busy. Subbing at the high school is constant and DS will be home for Thanksgiving. What more could a girl want?

Don't worry about accomplishing everything...as long as you are happy

Got my exchange shopping done and it's already packaged up, ready to ship out! Had just too much fun at BaB, of course, and the kids working there got such a kick out of us!! The new Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer is sooooo precious, but I managed to get out of there without buying one.

Good to see you, Betty!!! Sorry to hear your spare time has dwindled to so little, but I know how it is with a teenage DD! Glad the family will all be home for TG, you won't have many more like that.

Hi, Rose Mary! Too gloomy for the beach, huh? Same here and even got caught in a bit of a shower this afternoon when we stopped at Wally World. Hope you can get your beach time tomorrow!

Karen, sounds like a winning day all around for you!! You really scored on those dress-up clothes and then the find on the porch when you got home!! WOW!! Congrats on BOTH!! I'm thinking you will look superb in the blue velvet, too!

So, Laine, are you in a good mood after the game? I hope we will get to see a pick of you in that silk dress. And since we all know about the tatoo, you can skip the wrap for us!

Ooops, there's the dryer......and Dave wants a turn on the 'puter. I'll catch ya'll later! :grouphug:

Hi Beth, I know that you can relate to the delima's of having to keep up with teen DD's.

Well, getting ready to sit down with DH to have a glass of wine. Who am I kidding, it is a whole bottle. I will try to stop in later and see that you all are behaving.

Hi all, went to dinner and then to the Columbus Zoo for the Wildlights exhibit they have during the holidays. My dad joined Luis and I so it was a good evening for us all ::yes::

Sketti!!! Always love seeing you. Stop in more often!

Yep, in a great mood after the game! Unfortunately Michigan is still going to the Rose Bowl because Wisconsin blew it  Still we were one of two teams to beat the scum team :p

LOL, Beth, I will work on a pic of me in the dress. Give me a day or so though ::yes::

Hi Elaine, glad you had a good time at the zoo. I will try to get here a little more often.

Good evening YaYas... :)

I had to come in and give a hug to Karen and to Betty. :) It's good to see you Miss Sketts!! ....and Karen, I loved hearing about your day! Coming home to that package would've brought tears to my eyes too! That was so sweet!!

Awww... thank you Sherry. I thought it was about time I gave a little nod to them. :) What's your cowbell sig line from? Oh and your sweet kitty looks a LOT like our "Squeak". :p

Mom is continuing to improve. Thank you Lord! Today I introduced her to the world of online shopping. Uh oh. LOL!

A hello to Rose Mary, Nancy, Lily, sweet Beth, skinny Elaine, busy Pammy, to Deena, Todd, JRKaren, Liz, TC, Alan, Amanda, Suzanne, Kimmar and Tara... sweet dreams and Happy Sundays to ya'll. :)

Betty, I'd love it if you did

Kimmie, I haven't forgotten you ;) Just been busy and got interrupted tonight so I haven't gotten a thing done that I wanted to

But since y'all think I'm skinny, here's a pic to show you otherwise
sorry about the face, I was tired and that was the last pic out of like 20 Luis took and I was half blind due to the flash

amazing how that same size looks different on taller people :p

Elaine! You look stunning in that dress. I just so love it! So where's the tatoo? It is not showing in this pic. I thought we'd get a look see.

Kimmie, uh oh, I think there is a story about to break in that Enquirer. "I Turned My Mother Into An Online Shopaholic!" Since you have so graciously introduced her to this fine art, send her here. We can tell all sorts of stories to her when she's about.

Betty, Hi there! How's the college kid doing?

RM, what a great thing to come home to for sure. How clever in your creative shopping. No one will ever know.

When I came back home today my brother was visiting with my Mom. I grabbed a bite to eat and said I was headed out to the Towpath to get in my longer walk today. I figured since it was as warm as it will be for quite some time I best get out there. Brother came with me and it was a great walk for me. We covered 8 miles in 2 hours. It was joyous! Ted got home just about the same time as I did and we went to the mall. He got shoes and I picked up another somethings for my exchange. I need to shop for me too, but this was more fun. I have tons yet to do this weekend, but am running out of time. I think I may become desparate because I know I won't fit in all I want to. Oh well, I'm tired. Off I go after I toss another load of clothes in the washer.

College child is doing great....thanks for asking.

Elaine, my gawd girl, you are looking mighty fine. You look great!!! But, I know who found the weight that you lost....yes it was me!!!

Long day 1 has come to an end....only 5 more long days to go. Got some Christmas shopping done (with shopping for us, my Dad and the family gifts there is a lot). I am so glad some of my nephews have found things they want online, makes my life easier. 33 gifts is a lot to buy and that doesn't include Todd's family or our friends. I am jealous of those of you who are finished or close to being finished.

Todd started a project this week....needless to say it became an 'Us' project that took a lot of my time today, when I should have been cleaning.

Spent some time at the in-laws...made Todd happy, but put me even more behind.

Still haven't finished the 2 side dishes for our church Thanksgiving dinner for tomorrow, but I will just get up earlier to do that.

My friend came over and we were able to give my kitchen table a new shine.

3/4 of my shopping for Thanksgiving dinner is finished. I will finish the rest on Wednesday. Every year I look forward to hosting Thanksgiving, until it comes near and I think of cooking for 30-35 people. I am giving in and letting a few individuals bring items this year. That only leaves me with 6 appetizers, 2 meats, 8 sides, rolls/biscuits, 5 pies, 1 batch of cookies and 1 batch of brownies. All that and I know I am still leaving something off my list.

Elaine...beautiful dress.

Betty...glad to hear from you.

Karen...the Lord always provides. How wonderful!

Lily the tattoo is on my back left shoulder blade. The shots of the back didn't turn out that great, but here's one all the same (ignore the bra strap please ;))

dress2.jpg

And thank you Betty as well! I admit I am down (she does quick math) about 38 pounds from my heaviest... and have moved from a 14/16 to really more of a 6/8 (that dress is a 6... all pants I am buying are 8s or the petite size equiv) sadly though I cannot see the differences sometimes. I realize I have major self image issues I cannot get rid of. I know my old clothes don't fit, and my older clothes I had in college now do & comfortably, but looking at that pic... well all I can say is I am glad y'all see it! And don't worry, I have weight/clothes size goals, not what I see in the mirror goals ;) Maybe someday I will get over it ::yes::

Evening yayas!

Wow, Elaine-you look GREAT!!! Love the dress! I'm doing the online shopping, too, but I've found that WalMart and Toy's R Us do their black Friday specials online on Thursday!

Lily, love the Mannheim christmas discs. Then again, there aren't many that we don't like in this house. We each pick a new one to buy every year, lol. It's about time to break out the Messiah CD's to practice in the car (yay, now I can) for whatever Messiah sing they have in Tampa!

Got bargains at the store. We had some adult jammies hiding in the stockroom and when I found them, they went out into the sale section. I grabbed quite a few pairs-lots of happy relatives on my list.

Karen, great job on the Will shopping. Congrats on getting so much shopping done.

Well, it happened. The VPs are coming to visit-on one of the days that I'm supposed to meet my fellow yayas. My other day off got changed, too. So now, I'll be able to meet the yaya's on the 7th and the 9th. Add me to the WWTBAM/RocknRollerCoaster group AND the PrimeTime meets :). Need to see what day the Mega Mouse Meet is.

Exchange is done! I'm sending it out on Monday.

I'm now addicted to See's candies...they keep giving me yummy samples and I bought their peanut brittle today...nirvana!

Goodnight all!

Suzanne

Girl, check out the lack of butt in that shot of the tatoo reveal dress. You have no butt. Elaine, I have always been proud of you but being able to lose the weight must give you a great sense of pride.

Suzanne....See's candie is too addictive. I have Nancy to thank for that. Thankfully I have to order online if I want it, there isn't a distributor around this area.

I did forget to mention my company gift came today. We always get a gift with products and candy/nuts. This year was a Peterboro basket. Cassie loved going through all the items and picking out what she thought was for her and Mandy. My family likes when the box comes because there are usually things I don't use and I give them away. The nuts and candy usually get put out on Thanksgiving, but this year the candy was a big World's chocolate candy bar...I miss the chocolate covered almonds that we usually get. The basket made up for it though. I love baskets. I just viewed their site and the basket I received is on the home page on the right.

Amanda, I hope you will be able to make up for some of the lost time today. You sure do have a lot to shop for!!! I only have my immediate family. Oh I have my grandma and aunt, but I never decide on theirs until we know where we will be. They prefer food items anyway for Christmas as they have a small house.

Suzanne, sorry they messed with your days off, but I am sure we will be able to see you at some point while you are there! Mean old VPs ;)

LOL, No matter what you say, Betty, I do have a butt :p I am actually rather happy with mine... I ought to do a real side shot for you so you could see, but I create a nice arch look thanks to my rear... it's not enormous, but it sure isn't flat. Silly how I actually like that in me :teeth:

Off to get a few PMs responded to. Only did quickies today ::yes::

Elaine, thanks for the extra pic. Nice tattoo. I just love that color on you too. Wowzers 38 pounds. You really did melt!

Amanda, I am still exhausted reading about your upcoming holiday. Hope you can get through it all. Glad you figured out that others can help you with some things.

Suzanne, sorry that you have your days off mixed up, but I am glad I will get to meet up with you.

Elaine you look BEAUTIFUL!!! I LOVE that dress!!!

Betty I think I found some of the weight that Elaine lost too.

Kimmie I am so glad to hear that your mom is feeling better and turning the corner. Thank the Lord! Uh Oh online shopping huh? You know you are in big trouble now dontcha?? hehehehehehehe

Awww Lily Im so glad you got a good walk in with your brother. Wow eight miles!!! Glad you had fun shopping.

Bethie could you PM me with the name of that bible study you are doing? I couldnt find what I thought it was on the site you gave me. I did find something at Family Christian called Through the Bible in one year which looked interesting.

Tomorrow we are doing Object Lessons for Kidz Church. I am soooooooo bad that I haven't even looked at them yet. All I know is we have to have a pretty thing covered in clay that you strip off and a 20.00 bill for the second one. I think Im gonna do the Vanna White thing and hold up the objects while dh does all the talking......ROFL!!!! THANKFULLY he has read what we are supposed to do!! After church we are going over to the harness track to see my eldest ds's friend Sarah and her sister compete in the Broward County Cheerleading Competitions. Sarahs mom and I have become good friends and Sarah is an angel of a girl. She and my ds get along so well and she is his champion when things get tough with the other kids at school. She even asked to have DS in her pod in the classroom and was bummed when he was put in another pod. We all want to go and cheer her and her sister on. Even dh who hates to do things on Sundays had no hesitation in saying yes we are going.

UGH dh is not gonna let me get away with doing the Vanna White thing. He says the second object lesson is mine to do so I better get studying. I am no good in front of an audience and factor in the fact that Im in wicked pain and on pain killers and this should prove to be interesting. I just hope and pray I don't mess it up too badly.

Wow Elaine :earseek: you look fantastic. Love that dress and the tattoo ;) . Did it hurt really bad in that spot? I'm already planning another  . My family really thinks I've lost it. Who wants to plan a tattoo meet? LOL.

:faint: Amanda wore me out with her busy-ness. Amanda, one day at a time, it will all come together for you. I'm with you on the "jealous of those who have their shopping done".

How was that bottle of wine Betty?

Karen, good luck with your lessons today. I'm not so big on talking in front of people either I get :o being the center of attention.

Lily your walk sounded great. I'm hoping to get mine in today.

Suzanne- Can't believe those awful VP's went and changed things. Now I won't get to meet ya, darn it. :(

 Kimmie!

:wave2: to all. Really should do some housework but, I think I'll read some.

Morning all,

Acck Im just not into today. I wish I could just stay home but I can't. I just know Im gonna mess this whole object lesson up. Im gonna have to read the text because I cant seem to commit it to memory. I guess being in pain and on meds for it is messing with my abilities.

Morning Ya Yas!

Karen, don't worry too much. Do your best and it will be fine whatever that is. I have found that when I volunteer to do things if I keep telling myself I am doing my best and anyone else could volunteer too, that I can make it through a bit better. Do it with a smile and it will be over soon. :D Prayers your way and that your pain eases.

RM, read some that sounds like a great way to kick start your day. Housework after.

We have tons to choose on our list today. I know we must get our turkey as we won't be able to thaw it if it is not in the refrigerator today. Christmas Connection craft show is at the IX Center and I want to browse there. (notice I said want) I'm doing laundry now. Also have the usual house cleaning stuff that must get done. (sometime)
