:wave2: Good Morning all!! Had a little bit of snow again last night but the sun is shining and it's really pretty here today!!

Kids are still sleeping (what else is new?) - they were up last last night - having a O.C. Mararthon!! DD's boyfrind is here for a couple of days - they went to see "Constantine" (sp?) yesterday - liked it. And....while out and about my thoughtful DD bought me a new book at Barnes and Noble - it's called "The Last Girls" - looks really good. She does not have her own car so she uses mine all the time - small gestures of thanks are greatly appreciated!!

Yesterday was a cooking day for me - I made homemade chicken pot pie and sugar cookies with buttercream frosting. Seems like lately I always have way too many leftovers - never know when Alyssa (daughter - 'bout time I tell you her name) will be home and Christopher (son) hardly ever eats!!

I think I'll make pancakes for the sleeping beauties when they get up - last I heard their plan for today was indoor glow-in-the-dark mini golf!!

Now - my ketchup:

Lily - yes Fluffy is my "fur-baby" - she is very sweet as long as it's on her terms - unfotunately she has never forgiven is for getting Casey - her nemesis - the dog!! . Peanut Butter Parfaits - how awful - !!! (not)

Nancy - what kind of cookies did you make yesterday?? We must have been thinking alike!! Got my exchange name - thank you - can't wait to shop!!!!!

Elaine - glad to hear that you are feeling better.

***** Sign me up for the new wardrobe field trip !! Those "What Not To Wear" people would have a field day with me - it's a hazard of working from home - I wear too many of my kids hand-me-downs!!

Beth - you new BAB bunny is so very cute!! What a thoughtful gift.

Kim - Right now I have 2 books that I am reading - I is "Wicked - The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West" - bought it for my daughter 2 Christmases ago - she loved it - now my turn to read it. The other book that I am reading is "Driven to Distraction" - it's about coping with ADD - reading this to help my son - he is 16 and going thru some difficult times. I also enjoy reading mysteries - my favorite author is Diana Mott Davidson - and romances - yes - I admit it - Danielle Steel is always good for a quick read. As for crafts I enjoy counted cross stitch, folk art painting and I really - really want to start scrapbooking!!!

Suzanne - did the benedrly help?????

:wave2: Todd
:wave2: Melissa
:wave2: Liz
:wave2: Karen
:wave2: Kristy
:wave2: Tara

:wave2: and everyone else!!!

Have a sun shiney day!! I'll cehck in later!!

:flower:

Morning Ya Yas!
Egad I said peanut butter and meant Peanut Buster Parfait. Anyway, next time I will share with ya'all.

Gaspode you like Oreos? I didn't realize that they don't get sold on the other side.

Suzanne, hope the Benedryl helped. It is so difficult dealing with those nonspecific reactions. That stuff makes most people sleepy but a few will slip throu being hyper. Hope it settled ya. Will be thinking of you as you enjoy that surprise. Hope it is all you wished for and more.

Liz, sounds like you have a great day planned for Thursday. Enjoy.

Bethie, your family looks wonderful. What a sweetie Dave is.

Ya Ya meet is looking good. I'd love to have Nancy treat to OG. I like the mixed grill they have, salad and breadsticks please.

Elaine, glad to hear you and Luis are on the mend.

Sherry, that was exactly what I was thinking about the snow when I started off to work today. Blech.

Amanda, glad you are feeling better too. Don't overwork yourself.

I'm facing a hugely busy day here. Later...

Good morning.

Busy day here.....get to go shopping all day long! :teeth: Love those days.

I don't think there will be very many OG trips in my future.....not my favorite place....other than the soup, salad and breadsticks ;) And the closest is about 30 miles away. The one Christin will be at is about 50 miles away. But when we have the meet.......:teeth: And Elaine, you can order whatever you want.....even dessert :)

Suzanne.....hives! Christin got those once. What a miserable time that was. Her's was from a sulfa drug. Hope they don't last long.

Elaine and Amanda...glad you are feeling better. But Elaine....no sinus flare-ups!!

I think :p is a great smilie for Kimmie ::yes::

Ohhh....Lily. Ice cream does sound good. I would not have been able to pass that by either. I couldn't pass by trying a cookie here either  I have no willpower. I just try not to keep anything "good" around. Easier with Christin not here.

Sounds like a good day tomorrow for you Liz....and good luck with the interview.

:wave2: JRKaren. Sherry. Melissa, Deena....gotta run.....shopping is calling me!!

Quick drive by... real post later...

I was infomred I forgot Beth
 (Beth)

:scared1: (Karen)

shopping is calling me!!

Hey I got that same call!! But sadly my wallet got the call from the bills. Oh sure we tried changing our number but those annoying bills keep getting the new one

Im watching Pillow Talk on tv with Doris Day and Rock Hudson. I forgot how good those old movies are.

Deena, you too? I keep getting those annoying calls too.
:confused3

Wish I were home watching old movies right about now. Instead I am shoving a couple of turkey slices in and going after a cup of water so I can continue with the fun here.
:earboy2:
Oh well, pretty soon Hump Day will be over!
:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

next time just go check instead of typing faster
Yabut, the hamburger was all the way downstairs! :p

What cute babies, Beth!! The little outfits! Hee! Fun!

Nancy, I want to live vicariously through your shopping... what'd ya buy?

But how cool that others will be at WDW when we will be.
Yeah. It'd be a bit boring if you two were the only people there. Lines would be short though. :p

Ack! Suzanne! Hives. :crazy2: Did that once after taking Penicillian. Between Zyrtec and Benadryl, I finally got a handle on them but it took a couple of days. Ugh. Miserable feeling. I hope the Benadryl did the trick.

:p is me!? Yay! I have a smilie identity! I feel better now! :p :p :p

Love having you here Gaspode/Melissa! We love seeing the YaYa family grow!

Paula, that was very sweet of Alyssa (beautiful name!) to think of you that way! Those little gestures go a long way. I'm sorry to hear your son struggles with ADD. I recently had someone ask me if my son has ever been tested. He hasn't. It's really only one area (a school subject) that we see the problem though, so not sure that would be ADD. Sigh. Scrapbooking! Oh! Do it! It's so much fun! Lots of scrappers here in YaYa land and I know any of us would love to do what we could to help you get started! Romance books/swoon. Me too. Folk art painting... on canvas? How cool!!

Was the "red book" (what the heck was the name of that thing?) good E? Or just long and ya wanted to get it over with? LOL!

Hi Liz! Kimmie/Kama here... you know Dorklover or... :p Snerk/snork! Pixie Dust and good vibes going out to you for the interviews... and have fun in the city!!

Woo hoo on the superintendent retirement, Tara! Hey! You just reminded me! We took Cam to WDW when he was three. Might this explain the math issues? Ohhhh... how could I have been so cruel and thoughtless?!

Good thoughts headed to Christin too! Have fun training at OG! Eat a breadstick for me!

Lily is busy today... will leave a  here for you to pick up the next time you swing through.

A pox on Deena's computer troubles. My screen has been blipping, burping and something is clicking. Nerts.

Hi Sherry  .... and Amanda... glad you're feeling better!

 JRKaren!

:wave2:

Paula, Alyssa was the name we had picked if DS #4 would have been a girl. ::yes::

Hi Kimmie! :wave2:

Deena, planning is going good. :bounce:

Nancy, I forgot to say congrats to Christin! Have fun shopping. Be sure to tell us all you bought. :teeth:

Just a quick note.....

When my kids were young - before they were in school and I was still working outside my home - they were babysat by my sister in law - so we had my daughter - Alyssa Jeanne - my neice - Kerri Jeanne and for the longest time my son was convinced he was Christopher Jeanne - lol!!!!

Hi gang!!

My guy is this one---> :drinking1

Too much to ketchup on since yesterday

Amanda is feeling better today...

Oh lord has it been a day!! Sometimes I really wonder why I do this job  Other days I know why....June.....July...August...Christmas vacation...Spring Break...etc, etc, etc,

Anyway, I'm not sure which smiley should be me...is there one for a dork!!! heheh that's me!

I have a funny....I put on a pair of pants that fits fine but is rather old. I wore them because it was weigh in day and I wanted to make sure I had lightweight pants for it! So all was fine for the first half of the day...until about noon when I was headed to my Teen Living class...I stopped by the ladies room and when I tried to zip them up the zipper not just broke...but exploded!!!! :teeth: So now I was in a quandry...do I claim wardrobe malfunction and go home (not to return) or do I scurry around to find a few dozen safety pins to put them back together? I decided to be good and look for safety pins. I walked into the nurses office and asked the nurse if she could fix this...I pulled up my shirt to my pants wide open!! She was :rotfl: . She told me that she wasn't qualified to repair it but that she could give me a few safety pins and I could repair myself!! So that's what I did!! Thank goodness my shirt is one I bought a couple of years ago from Lane Bryant and is rather large!! I just untucked it and have kept it pulled really low all day!! I tried to claim wardrobe malfunction with my AP but she just laughed!! She said I had to come back for the day! Oh well! hehhe I guess I'm gonna have to go buy some new pants!

Okay...tutoring kids are done with their reading must get back to them!
tara

Good evening, everyone!

:scared1: is my old smilie from the Boston DIS meet that I planned for last June. To get people excited about the meet, I started talking in the third person, and everyone jumped on board and talked in the third person. Then, I got bored with that, so I started to refer to myself as :scared1: And everyone copied that too. Those threads were hysterical because everyone would refer to everyone by their smilie names. Then, I named the meet Jerry (full name Sir Gerald Xavier Popkin Hogswagle the Third, Esquire, King of all meets). We sure had fun talking about that meet, and we are planning Jerry's revenge for a piano bar in Boston in April.

That's all I'm going to say for now. One of these days I'll do a proper ketchup. So hugs and love to everyone.

JellyrollsKaren :scared1:

Just a quick drive by---busy day chatting on IM, then did some work and now getting ready to leave for choir practice. Sorry I didn't take time to ketchup, but I've been reading.

btw, love that name, Alyssa! It's gorgeous and I love the spelling too! Might have to use that for my new bunny's name......yes, it fits good! Might just call her Lyssa so she's not a total copycat! Thanks, Paula!!!

Gotta dash! :grouphug:
Love ya'll,

Been an afternoon... sinus thing has gone away (thanks to good strong meds I can't take at night) but a pain thing has set in... so waiting on painkillers to kick in so that I can rest well. I had to hold off since I need to eat when I take them as well.

A clothes exchange and a job exchange? I'm all for that, Amanda. Glad you are feeling much better!

LOL, Deena, send it all my way. After my mom died I was in charge of the ironing for the family. Not that my dad or brother couldn't do it, I just did it faster than them and don't mind doing it. Just a pain to set up, but once I start, I'm good.

Paula, just out of curiosity, are the kids off school this week? I have heard great things about Wicked though!!!

Lily, I got what you meant when you said peanutbutter parfait... my dad is in love with those!!!! That and buster bars :teeth:

Nancy, have a good day for shopping? I sure hope so!! But all this dessert & ice cream talk has me wanting some!!

I love old movies like that one, Deena! Although not so fond of Doris Day, I loved that type of movie. Favorite old one is probably Some Like It Hot!

Kimmie, you need to get a laptop for the kitchen. I swear I tote mine around with me when I am cooking and cleaning. Glad having a smilie identity makes ya feel better :p
Oh and the red book... I think it was called the Scarlet Thread.

:wave2: Hi Sherry!

Paula, that is too cute about the names with the kids and what he thought!

:drinking1, :wave2:!!
~ :duck:

hey typing posts like that could be fun!!!!

Tara, so sorry about your pants, but that is funny the way you put it! I am glad she had some safety pins for you though. I hate it when things like that happen (my usual is a button falls off)

Karen, just reading your post about your smilie made me smile

Howdy Bethie. I hope choir practice is good tonight! And yay for the bunny name!

Evening Ya Yas!

Just got home from the gym. Oh I got a decent workout. No running but bicycle and stair thing, weight machines. So now it's time to see what mischief I can make.

Elaine, hope that pain goes away and that you sleep well tonight.

Karen, I think I would be too confused over all those smiles. I am starting to get that way here too. No, wait. That is the way I am all the time.

Beth, hope you enjoy your evening. I don't play on IM much. Seems I've gotten out of the habit.

Tara, I've got a gf that does her job for the same reason. She is always saying that.

Paula, Allyssa Jeanne and Christopher Jean, cute story.

Todd, You've got a great smilie! I'll drink to that!

Deena, my turn for a movie...or something tonight. Probably AI though.

Kimmie you are a great cook to type all the way upstairs and cook all the way downstairs. I'd have it all burned down.

Good thoughts headed to Christin too! Have fun training at OG! Eat a breadstick for me!

What the heck is going on with the signatures or counters or whatever they were/are? Scared me.

Shopping.....well, Christin got shoes and a haircut
No success on the dress :( Why is it so hard to find a simple black dress??
Well, it does have to have straps, be below knee and not long
We looked everywhere......looks like a trip into downtown Seattle is coming  Hate that thought!!

Kimmie.,....I think she can eat a breadstick or ten ;) for you. That's about all she likes from there

Paula....I made chocolate peanut butter chip cookies :) They were suppose to be made into sandwich cookies, but I didn't have time and there weren't enough for Dave's workplace if I did that, so I just dropped them on ;)

Tired...and that's all I can remember

Nancy, the webmasters decided to turn off html on the boards for security reasons. Basically, someone knowledgeable could put something in there that could mess up someones computer. So, for our safety, they have removed that option. You can find more information about it here.

So, now the DIS counters don't work anymore. You'll just have to delete that crud from your signature.

Karen

I'm all grumbly about the countdowns... I hate that they are gone... don't like the ones other people have (that I've seen... don't like seeing months left... prefer days). Took mine out until I can figure out something.

Thanks Lily, I am hoping this passes quicly. Luis just thinks my body is worn donw and kind of lettin gme know it ;) Glad you got a good work out in.

Good luck with the dress Nancy! I had such a hard time with my sister's wedding as well. You'd think that a simple black dress would be easy to find... easier said than done!

Thanks Karen.....I did finally see it.

Guess mine is going out too. I don't like those other ones :(
