Morning everyone!
Just running around here trying to get the boys stuff ready for them to go back to school on Thursday. This is my oldest and this is ds #2 a little happy about going back and a little unhappy.
Nancy I know you like Yankee Candles but have you ever tried the ones from Kohl's called For Every Body At Home?? They are wonderful. They have a Birthday Cake candle that will make your mouth water. I also just got a Spiced Cider that made the house smell great.
Ewww Sherry--that just sounds very messy and stinky. Atleast it wasnt any worse than that.

Afternoon YaYa's,

I've been lurking, but have to jump in now and say hi. I'm at school getting ready for the new year. We have to extra days each year that are called A.P.P.L.E. days. This means Applided Principles and Practices in the Learning Environment. Translated it is 3 days wasted to discussing and doing things we really don't need. I won't tell you out loud what we call APPLE, suffice it to say, our district would not be happy to hear about it. I'm on my lunch break right now, so I'm not using school time to do this.

Sherry..sorry to hear about the eggs. Now I know why I don't cook!!

Alan...so you are the ghost from downstairs. I thought the banging was just from my cabana boys trying to get lose from their restraints!!

I found a great place for my son to go to preschool. The place he has been is very very cheap and it is true to the saying you get what you pay for. However, last year that is what I could afford, this year I'm doing a little better. The current place watches too much tv, only eats mac and cheese and chicken nuggets, and little or no guidance in the preschool area. I don't want him in a sit down and shut up type of program, but he does need more structure now that he is 3 years old. Anyway, I checked several different places and two of them had no windows in the classroom b/c they were in shopping centers. I can't put him in a cave everyday (occassionaly that is fine ) I finally went to KinderCare, knowing I would hate it b/c it is a nationwide place and would not care about the kids. OMG! I fell in love with the place. I went last week to talk to them and decided I wanted to think about this place, it will cost me almost $50 a week more...there go my dinners out. Anyway, I took Jar in there yesterday to let him look around and he screamed when we left. This am he wanted to go back, but we can't go until tomorrow for his free day. So I gave my notice for his current school and his last day will be friday. I'm really happy with my decision and feel that he will really benefit from this new school.

Uh oh, long post...also I'll be around a great deal this weekend as Jarrod is going to Florida with his father for the first part of the week. It was my idea and I'm okay with it, now if only I could not tear up everytime I think about it. I know I'm a wuss and I should be happy to have some mommy free time, but I will probably be around here whining!!!

Okay, back to work.

Here I am!!! Been busy at work playing Sherlock. I just love analyzing things and unraveling problems--this time I discovered over $400 in unauthorized charges that have been added to our phone bills over the last year!! Oh, Sherry!!!!! The eggs!!!! ROFL!!!! But I know it wasn't funny when you saw it. Gotta admit, years ago (pre-microwave)I was melting butter in a pan and the dryer timer went off. Forgot about the butter and got busy folding laundry. Can you say smoke??!!!!! OMG!! It took me MONTHS to get that ceiling clean!!!

Hey, Tara!!! Bummer about your APPLE days--we have such things in the accounting world too. Tax update classes What a pain!! But I'm sooooo happy to hear you found a great place for your son! Sometimes these nationwide chains can surprise the heck out of you! And that it got HIS stamp of approval is paramount!! Obviously, something clicked there between him and the teachers and other kids, not to mention the toys!! Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers while he is off on his big adventure this weekend.
