.

Well I'm so late on this - however,

 and :thumbsup2 and :cool1: to all the biggest losers. Way to go guys.

And a big and special :woohoo: and :dance3: to Lisa. A big congrats to you. Enjoy.

Lisa

I dropped another 1.2 pounds (262.2 pounds) and I am maintaining my goal of 1-2 pounds per week.

I also hit the 6 mile mark on my "night before weigh-in" run yesterday, and according to the 2010 half-marathon map and mile marker I just left the Magic Kingdom. Next stop, the Grand Floridian Hotel.

See you next week.

Well,

I've been off scale for weeks - doing weekly check ins with our glorious WK though. It's been scary. But needed. I needed a break from the scale. I'm near the end of my weight loss journey. The first half was years. I lost then held it - got used to it - and jumped back on. The second half has been mostly BLs and such and more rapid. And I'm tired. I wasn't celebrating the now - the accomplishments.

So I know my totals for this BL will be down from other BLs. Nothing like the scale to push you. :lmao:

Exercise has been bang on - as usual. Consciously eating has been off and on.

People who know me know I'm all about what I can keep up with for life. If I can't well not doing while losing the weight.

Anyway, I've been so bad with being supportive here - this time. Overwhelmed with having another thread. But I do read and am so thrilled to see all the success and support. And so happy to see more commited BLs this time. That's a lovely part.

Okay - all the best to everyone,

Lisa

I gained a few ounces :( ! I totally forgot the weigh in last week and this week my kids have been sick so no gym except Monday! I am thankful I didn't gain more!

Down 1.2 lbs this week - and I hit my 10%! I feel a lot better and someone noticed the other day. My clothes are starting to get baggy - but I hesitate to get more just yet. Great job to the superstars this week! Have a great week everyone

Lisa

You guys, I could just cry right now... Last night we went out to buy a car. We had the signed papers, pending this light thing they would fix in the car, and guess what? On the way home the transmission blew on our trade in. :scared:  :headache: :sad2: :sad1: I can't believe it. Now what?:confused3

It gets better... DD has been up since 1am violently throwing up, I've been cleaning up carpeting, the wall, and the bathroom all night long. She is miserable, I have to get her to the MD today, had to call into work and I am sure they are going to be mad, it is super busy today, but I really need to take care of DD. When it rains it pours....:sad1:

I maintained this week, I hope I don't stress eat.

Thank you to disneychrista for a great job coaching, and welcome to mikamah. :goodvibes

I guess I have a range for a final weight goal. somewhere around 140. I have a long way to go before I get there, so in the mean time, my next goal is actually only 6# away. Just a number I remember being at 3 years ago. After that my goal is 17# away for another 25# loss to make it to 50 pounds lost!

Oh my gosh Vija, that is such a shame about your car. Hope it all works out with the car, and I hope you guys are feeling better soon. I was nervous I was going to get that darn bug today because I was feeling a little yukky, but so far so good.

Congrats to all the losers!!! That doesn't sound quite right though, LOL. I'm down a few from the few I gained last week, but not down to where I was two weeks ago. Almost there though.

As far as a final weight goal, I will be thrilled if I can get back down to 150, which is 40ish pounds away. I cannot believe I gained forty pounds in nine years.:sad2: The last 15 I put on after quitting smoking two years ago. I am determined though to get rid of this darn weight!

Vija- I'm sorry about your car. I hope you call can get everything worked out. That sucks.

I'm feeling very overwhelmed at the moment. Blood sugars are still crazy, and now my doctor is talking either Irritable Bowel Syndrome or Food Allergies. I have a referral to an allergist and an endocrinologist (diabetes doctor). I was going to schedule them on the same day, but the endo cannot get me in until April 13 or 15, and I don't know if I'm willing to go that long before the next stop in figuring out all the stomach suff. It was pretty bad today. :( It's making staying on plan hard because all I'm focused on is eating something that isn't going to kill my stomach.

Vija-I'm sorry about your car and DD. I admit I haven't kept up on posts this week -:grouphug:

Jess - Good luck with your levels. Is it possible you have a Gluten allergy?

Have a great week everyone

Sorry I went MIA for a few days...one of my girlfriends needed to make a quick trip to the beach to pick out some new furniture before the rental season got going. So I accepted the tough job of having to ride down with her:thumbsup2 . We got the furniture picked out and then had a great time reading, watching Lifetime movies and I got some cross-stitching done. I didn't take my laptop so I was on a computer fasting diet for 2 1/2 days:scared1: and I survived. I did really well on eating while we were gone and drank lots of water too. Didn't do any exercising and really am having a tough time getting back into our routine of walking but I think once the weather opens up it will help.

I was down 1.5 lbs this morning and was so happy to get past that spell of going back and forth with the same .5 lb.

!!!
Whoo hoo!! that's a great loss, and it's so nice to stop that little yo-yo-ing. Sounds like a great time relaxing at the beach.

vija, I'm so sorry about the car. That just bites. I hope your daughter is feeling better now. That is no fun. Stress eating just brings more stress in the form of guilt. During times of stress, we should try stress-exercising. Maybe that would help. Hope things are calming down for you.

Congrats to all of the losers this week.

I stayed the same.. I am surprised I didnt see a gain.

Had a make a speciall dessert for a girl scout event tonight and I had way to much of it. Its full of sugar and I am doing low carb.. grrr. So tonight is the event.. I made 12 pans of the stuff and have no desire to eat it again.
Maintaining is better than gaining. Today is a new day, and the dessert is gone. I think if you don't let one day or binge turn into multiple days, you can still see a loss next week.
Thanks to disneychrista for being coach! And thanks in advance to mikamah!
Thanks to all previous coaches if I missed thanking you back then!:)

Friday qotd- Do you have a final goal weight in mind, or are you working your way down, and as the weight comes off will you decide where you want to be?

I do have a final goal weight in mind, but its not set in stone. I'd love to be 150 again, but I don't know if it'll happen. For now, I'm just aiming for mini-goals.

:grouphug: :grouphug: VIJA :grouphug: :grouphug:
I hope things get better soon.
mini goals are a great thing to celebrate.

Vija :flower3:  Hang in there, it will get better. Some days it does feel like it just doesn't end.

I lost 1.2 this week, putting me .2 lower than my lowest weight on this challenge. I hope this means I've ended the yo-yo streak and I can move on. It's very frustrating, but I only have myself to blame. 3 weeks to Disney, lets see what I can lose. If I could loose 6 pounds I'd be excited. I have to push to make that happen. I can do it - especially if I got off my butt and exercised.
.
That's great to be at your lowest point!! Disney trips are wonderful motivators.

I haven't weighed in for the week yet because I worked last night, so I'll weigh-in in the morning. I was way down earlier in the week, but I've eaten horribly the last 2 days, so now I'm scared to get on the scale!

QOTD: I'm just working toward mini goals for now so I don't become overwhelmed with a number that seems too far away. Once I reach my goal for this challenge, I plan to set a new goal of 5# for the following 8 weeks, and renew that goal when I reach that weight or the 8 weeks is up. I should be to 160 or less by Memorial Day, and I haven't been there in a couple years. I got down to 135 about 6 years ago, but that was way too hard to maintain. I'd really love to end up between 145-150. I did reward myself this week for breaking the 170 barrier by buying a new swim suit top at JC Penney. I'm very close to fitting into my capris from 2 summers ago, so I shouldn't need any new clothes for a while. I'm hoping it will be warm enough for capris soon!
Hope you got on that scale and were surprised. I too have a couple sizes down of clothes, and it's great when you put them on and they fit again. Capri weather should be here soon.

Hardest thing about this weight loss venture--going to the pool. It's a lot of time, making sure the gym bag has everything, showering and dressing-it takes me forever to make sure the chlorine is out of my hair and even then- I can see the damage.(I rinse it, put conditioner in my hair and wear a cap to seemingly no avail) Easiest-doing the treadmill/stepper at home watching the View, especially since an animal cops show is on now that I can switch to on commercials.

My goal is 155. I can do it but right now my body is trying desperately to stop this awful weight loss thing. It just can't understand why I'd want to be colder and less cushioned..:-) My biggest goal right now actually is to simply maintain until my trip--that would be awesome.
.
Swimming is a lot of work. I love getting out of bed and doing an exercise video, I don't even have to brush my teeth or comb my hair before, and then it's right into the shower. It's really the only way I get my exercise in. Maintaining your loss so far is a great goal.

Hi everyone. I gained this week. I did not come to the boards, I did not eat very well and I didn't exercise, and the scales showed it. I have new motivation now - We just booked a Disney trip ... in 8 weeks! Oh my, I've got to get moving now. Sorry, I haven't been around, You motive me - I just wasn't in the mood. I'm back now - Lisa!

.
 sorry you had a gain, but a trip in 8 weeks is just the motivation to see that gain gone next week. I'm so jealous.
Ah crap--well I gained a pound this week--only by a few ounces but nonetheless. This is my first gain since this started so this is a huge red flag for me. I usually gain back weight very quickly..will be really watching it this week. I wish I knew exactly where I went wrong but I was eating well, exercising. I've been 'at the computer a lot lately- that's probably what did it and I won't have my cd burning pc up this week at all so I think I'll do better.
BTW my previous source of conflict keeps coming in to see me and is not helping...:confused3
 sorry you had a gain. It's so much harder when you don't know why. Sometimes is is just our body's fluid balancing out. Stick with it, and next week will be better.

Well, i gained 3 pounds. I haven't watched my eating or exercised in basically 2 wks. I guess I should be glad it wasn't more. Oh well, that was then and this is now.

Today is a new day! I have done good today!

Am feeling renewed and motivated. I think I will organize pantry tonite so I can make room for grocery shopping and healthy foods. For some reason when my house is clean I can watch what I eat easier.
 hugs on your gain, but this new day is definitely better. That's a winning attitude!!

:cheer2: Nice loss!! I'm picturing you running to the grand floridian right now.

Hi Lisa! You've done so well, and the last pounds definitely come off slower than any others, so be patient. I'm also doing well with the exercise and that really makes a difference, or I'd be gaining it all back. That darn eating just is the problem. It's always nice to see you here. I think the one thread has made it better for so many to stick around this challenge.

I gained a few ounces :( ! I totally forgot the weigh in last week and this week my kids have been sick so no gym except Monday! I am thankful I didn't gain more!
 Sorry for your gain and I hope your kids are feeling better. Too many illnesses around here lately. Spring is coming, and hopefully those bugs will be gone.

Down 1.2 lbs this week - and I hit my 10%! I feel a lot better and someone noticed the other day. My clothes are starting to get baggy - but I hesitate to get more just yet. Great job to the superstars this week! Have a great week everyone

Lisa
:cool1: AWesome!!! 10% is fantastic!! It's always so nice when people start noticing, and the clothes get too big. Keep up the great work!

:thumbsup2 congrats on the loss! Quitting smoking is so hard, you should be proud.

I'm feeling very overwhelmed at the moment. Blood sugars are still crazy, and now my doctor is talking either Irritable Bowel Syndrome or Food Allergies. I have a referral to an allergist and an endocrinologist (diabetes doctor). It was pretty bad today. :( It's making staying on plan hard because all I'm focused on is eating something that isn't going to kill my stomach.
I'm so sorry you are feeling so lousy. How frustrating to have to wait so long for doctor's appointments too. :grouphug: Hugs and good wishes that you are feeling better soon.

What is your favorite movie or movies?

Mine are Sleepless in Seattle and City of Angels.

I'm partial to musicals. Holiday Inn and White Christmas but the newest one to add to my list of musicals is Hairspray.

Friday QOTD - Do you have a final goal weight in mind, or are you working your way down, and as the weight comes off will you decide where you want to be?

My final weight goal is 150 by the time I go to WDW in December. That is a long way from where I am now so I have it broken up into smaller goals, like 10% of my body weight which is my goal for this challenge. One day at a time!

Saturday QOTD - What is your favorite movie or movies?

Love Actually and Pirates of the Caribbean (The Black Pearl)

QOTD: I don't know that I have a favorite movie, but if I had to say, i guess it would be the Notebook and maybe Dirty Dancing. I picked those because if I'm flipping TV and find them on I always seem to watch them again. Hopefully I will get some new favs soon, I just signed up yesterday for Netflix. The 14yo daughter was costing me a ton wanting to rent movies every weekend so her friends can come over and watch. Then I never manage to return them on time, so I think we are going to enjoy the Netflix thing.

As far as diet goes, I had a banana and some of those chocolate Quaker mini rice cakes so far this morning. Those things are great. Really cures my chocolate need!:rotfl: I have been trying to keep snack stuff around the house on weekends so when the kids have friends here they have something to eat. Well today I am just letting them fend for themselves. I have found that lately my will power isn't as strong as it was at the beginning of the challenge. If I fix cheese dip or something like that for them, I end up eating right along with them. So they will have to find something to snack on themselves! Oh, by the way the Boston Creme Pie sugar free puddings are great too! Only 60 calories and yummy!

Just want to way good luck to everyone on the weekend!:thumbsup2 It always seems to be tougher than during the week for me, but we can do it!

What is your favorite movie or movies?

Mine are Sleepless in Seattle and City of Angels.

Well this is timely. I caught part of Joe VS the Volcano yesterday and realized that I love love love that movie-- can't get enough of it. And I've seen The Money Pit roughly 1000 times. I think it's safe to say Tom Hanks is officially my favorite actor. Every time Turner and Hooch is on I watch it too lol. So probably the goofy Joe vs Volcano would be favorite right now at this time in my life.

popcorn::

Saturday QOTD - What is your favorite movie or movies?

Love Actually and Pirates of the Caribbean (The Black Pearl)

I saw POTC in the theater 25 times :-)

Well I did the stepper/treadmill then swam for a 1/2 hour yesterday had muffins for breakfast (free day old bread at the pool) costco samples for lunch, and stew for dinner(with some jalapeno cheese bread-also from free bread Thursday lol)and I'm back down a pound today :cool1: o calorie butter spray on the bread though lol. That stuff's actually pretty good.
I think I'm going to have to accept the fact that I really am prone to retaining water. I saw that a biggest loser episode is on at 6pm tonight and that channel (fln) usually has the most recent on so I'll get to see the second half tonight hopefully. That show really does help I think. I sort of have another good motivating thing-- I have a green tshirt that last year I couldn't get into for St. Patricks Day. I intend for that to be comfortable this year. :thumbsup2

I had 4 cookies last night - but I still ended the evening in my calorie range, so I'm ok. Today is going well. We are going out to dinner tonight. I'm planning on eating a completely clean dinner and prove to myself that I can eat clean when I eat out. I want to do this at Disney, so I'm trying to practice. The kids and I went out last night (DH came home at midnight last night after being in Florida for two weeks) to our chinese/japanese restaurant. I had a salmon avocado roll with brown rice and a seaweed salad. All clean and very yummy. I was proud that I only had one roll instead of two. Even though I was a little hungry a few hours later and that is when I ran into 4 cookies. But I stopped myself. Two of the cookies were fairly healthy. I think I need to make/find a really good clean recipe for cookies that I wouldn't feel guilty eating. I know there are some in some of my clean eating cookbooks.
