Welcome to the WISH Biggest Loser 7 Challenge

CONGRATULATIONS LISA and all of our superstars.

I switched my doctor's visit to tomorrow. I am giong to ask for that endo and gastro referral. My one problem is that I tend to get intimidated and chicken out. I'm not giong to let that happen this time.

Congrats LISA!

I have been HORRID this week. It's PMS, but.... that's not a good excuse!

:(

Did watch BL tonigh and was shocked at the person sent home... (No spoilers in case someone hasn't watched it)

Going to try to get back on track tomorrow. I did give up fried food for Letn, maybe that will help!

Congrats everyone! I eagerly searched for my name and when I didn't find it, I finally figured out that I didn't send my weight! My computer crashed last week, but I'm up and running with my new one. I've been very successful because of this group and I'm starting to wonder what will motivate me in 4 weeks! (I would have been #5 this week!) I need to keep going after our competition ends!

Here I am again.

First of all, congrats to all the losers!

Vija - #2, way to go, especially cool given the struggles you have had as of late with the food issues.

I did well yesterday in that:

a) I tracked every point and stayed OP

b) got to the trainer and had a great workout, she is really good.

c) I am posting today.

Have not made it to WW, but I will before week's end. If I have to, I will weight myself at home (although it is not entirely accurate) just to get the weight into Brenda, good, bad or indifferent.

I will not give up. Accountability and consistency is my goal for this challenge.

My niece is still struggling. My sister in law is coming back up today to learn the meal plans and how to supervise the meals. She is going to have to take in a lot of food to refeed (her body is so malnourished, it affects her heart rate and makes it too low) and gain 20 pounds. That will be very hard for her.

My sister in law says that she will have to make her daughter her full time job for now. She may be released on the weekend and my husband is better.

Not sure about my father in law yet.

I hope that everyone here is well and I will check in to get the QOTD soon.

Congratulations Lisa and to everyone for keeping with it.

Question of the Day - Wednesday

What one lifestyle change you have made that was the easiest? What one was the hardest?

The easiest would be adding more veggies into my daily diet.

The hardest by far would be exercise. I've been doing some, but not enough. I have been walking about 2 miles on my lunch everyday but have not been doing the Wii Fit as much as I would like.

Congratulations to all our bigg "losers" this week. Keep up the great work.

I'm hanging in there and doing well with my eating. I did get a 2 mile walk in yesterday so that is a plus. I'm hoping to walk again at lunch today since it's supposed to be in the 50's and then get cold again this weekend.

For breakfast I brought in to work a packet of plain organic instant oatmeal and a banana. I cut the banana up in my oatmeal so it was sweet (sweet oatmeal - naturally). So now I have my breakfast planned for my disney trip. I will bring at least 4 packets of plain oatmeal with me. My plan is to buy a banana each day and maybe a boiled egg -unless I can get a healthy egg white omelet - I'm sure there is too much butter or grease, but I'll take a look.

So I think I can eat a pretty clean breakfast each day while I'm there. At least its one meal I can be in control of and it should keep me full several hours.

Yayyyyy!!! I made the top...I was sure hoping all of that darn exercising last week was going to come through for me. My tail was worn out by Sunday. ha!

Congrats Lisa and the rest of you!!

This week I'm sure won't be as productive for me on the scale because of TOM. But I'm still hanging in there.

I started spinning back last week and I didn't realize how much I've missed it. What a workout...my favorite at the moment!

One of these days I am going to get around to answering some of the daily questions. It's just been hectic here with my work, my son's soccer starting back up, etc.

I do want to say to all of you guys out there that I've caught glimpses of struggles...hang in there. I hope everything gets much better.

Congratulations again (to everyone) for sticking with it. I'm so glad even though things have been up and down and I've even forgotten to send my weight in a week or two, I have stuck in there and am going to until the end!!!! Good luck for this week's weigh in!

I was torn. The person that I thought was going home, really did need to be there but was never going to be able to be a big contributor to the team. I do think they shot themselves in the foot and will likely get a second chance to send that person home next week.

Question of the Day

What are different ways you reward yourself for reaching milestones/goals?

WOWZERS...great job gang!! I am so excited to see my name on there again! :)
not sure if it will be this week withbirthday and anniversarycelebrations galore..but i am hoping! :)

Question of the Day

What are different ways you reward yourself for reaching milestones/goals?

I have rewards for each pound and every 5 pounds. For each pound I lose, I get to add a new song to my ipod. And for every 5 lbs I get a new pair of earrings. On my lunch time walk I go by a store called "So Good". It's costume stuff, but they have a very large selection.

I see far less game play this year and the people are kinder to each other and more supportive.

Unlike last year - when the blue team was regarded and portrayed as bullies and in a very negative light.

And I don't think American likes it. Hebba was slapped in the face when America refused to let her compete in the final weigh in - no matter how much she and her husband begged. It was a landslide. And if she had been allowed to compete, she would have won!

The game play does not seem to be regarded well. It is supposed to be about losing weight after all.

I really don't "reward" myself much - I'd have to think about that one.

haven't watch BL yet but now i'm intrigued....did i spell that right?

QOTD -- i have never set rewards for myself like that. usually when i got to or close to goal i'd go buy new jeans or shorts. i did that last summer so now i desperately want to get back to that weight so i can wear my cute shorts again :thumbsup2

so maybe i'll think of a reward at 5 lb incriments?? problem is all i can think of for a reward is yummy sweet desserts or treats!

CONGRATS to our losers this week!!

Today was awesome. My research was approved (and the board isn't supposed to meet until next Friday, talk about a shock!), the insurance gave me the check to get my car fixed, and I had doctor's appointment.

She agreed to the endocrinologist referral so now I am waiting for his office to call me. As far as my stomach problems go, she said it is most likely either a food allergy or IBS. She said to take a fiber supplement and Prilosec or Zantac for now, and get allergy tested. The allergist's office gave me several dates that work for them, so iam waiting for the endo so that I can coordinate dates and not miss too much teaching time.

QOTD-
I'm bad at rewarding myself too. One thing I did was make a simple thing using MS Excel. It looks like a simple thermometer that I put all the numbers starting with my start weight (on the bottom) and went all the way up to my goal. Now when I lose weight I make the numbers I lost red.

Good luck tomorrow everyone......I'm praying I break my (self inflicted) plateau.

I was going to buy flowers when I reached my first mini-goal of a 5lbs loss, but it was too cold when it happened, so I've decided to use that one again when I finally get to a 10lb loss.

I like that idea. I might have to do something like that and put it up where I see it everyday. Need to get the motivation back. I've lost momentum with the exercising.

Congatulations Lisa, and all our biggest losers!!And a big congratulations to everyone who is still here fighting this challenge. Lose, maintain, or gain, we are all winners.:cool1:

.
Exercise has been the easiest for me this time. I'm finally in a great routine of getting up 30-60 min earlier, and doing a video. Curbing junk food and snacking has been the toughest challenge for me.

I plan to buy myself a new pair of cowboy boots when I hit 181. That is the weight I was the very first time I started ww about 20 years ago, and i was 45 pounds heavier starting this time. It's taking me a long time, but I won't buy those boots til I see that number again. My feet grew when I had my son, and my none of my boots fit, but the boots I loved are over 200$ and I can't justify buying them right now.

Good luck tomorrow everyone!!:cheer2:

Good Friday morning. I didn't even get a chance to weigh in this morning becasue this week has been crazy and I forgot it was Friday

I am sorry for being MIA but it is tech week at the local high school where I help with costumes for the musical. Last dress rehersal was last night in front of local senior citizens. It went well with some glitches but the cast is ready for opening night. I things to press tonight and then there is the usual things going on before opening night. I will tell you all about it tomorrow morning when a get a chance to relax.

Spring is coming. It has been warm down here but snow/sleet and YUCK is predicted for Sunday. My daffodils are popping up their heads. I didn't think I would see any bulbs since the new dog dug up so many last fall. It is also lighter by the time I get to work but all that will change when DST goes off next week.

Have a great day everyone.
