Welcome to the WISH Biggest Loser 7 Challenge

My goals for the challenge are to lose 10-15lb. And to get myself active and exercising. We have a gym membership that DH uses, but I haven't in a few months.... I really need to force myself to lift some weights, because it works for me even though I hate it. I also want to track all my eating using Sparkpeople.
 
My name is Juanita and I am relativly new to the Dis boards and definately new to posting here.....

My goals for this challenge are to become more healthy in my eating habits.....to eat at home and not eat out (a serious downfall for me).....get back on track with my exercise plan and use my gym membership.....get my blood pressure back under control (it has been high since the birth of my 3rd kiddo 16 months ago) and ultimately lose 25 lbs. These goals are totally attainable for me if I just put my mind to it and use the tools available to me to make me successful!

Here's to a great 12 weeks.....

I LOVE seeing husbands and wives on here, you guys rock!:thumbsup2 Having another DISNEY nut in the family is awesome, and the fact that you are doing the biggest loser together is so great. You guys are going to do great.
 
so far I am doing pretty good. Yesterday was so hard to not have chips and McDonalds. I had been eating that stuff daily, if not multiple times a day, and I swear I was going through withdrawls yesterday. But I made it, and today I got up and did strength training and went for a walk outside. Feel pretty good about that!:thumbsup2

Planning on a walk this afternoon too, waiting for it to warm up a little more.
 
Good MOrning everyone. Got up this morning and walked for a while.. I am now going to go grocery shopping. I need to make chicken noodle soup for dinner tonight. Ds1 has no voice and ds2 has a sore throat and swollen glands. I also have a sore throat and dh sounded like he was hacking up a fur ball before.

Way to go! And if you did it once, you can do it again and again!

I was very careful about what I ate yesterday and got in a lot of activity cleaning house. I feel as good as I do after a day of walking around Disneyworld -- I hope I can do this everyday!

Happy Saturday everyone.

I have been low carbing for few days now and I am feeling great. If I could just stay off the scale. I should put it in my car so I stop jumping on it 30 times a day.

I thought of another goal I want to achieve in these 12 weeks. I want my wedding rings to fit again. My fingers have turned into sausages and I havent worn them since my youngest was born 3 years ago.

Boy, can I relate to that. I have been doing Weight Watchers for quite awhile and the call of the golden arches never seems to go away! I even tried watching that Supersize Me movie and it just made me want a Big Mac. :laughing: What I do now is get the kid's meal with the cheeseburger, apples and Diet Coke. I get a little of what I want, it doesn't cost much (money or calories) and my kids get an extra toy for their out-of-control Happy Meal toy pile.

Anyway, Good Saturday Morning....

For those of us doing the WDW Half, by this time next week. IT'S OVER!

Got up and did 5.2 miles this AM, my last "kind of long" run before the Half. I have to be honest, if you had told me I could do this a year ago I would have just burst out laughing... So if you don't think you can, YOU CAN! I did. I am somewhat older then at least some of you. (My next "milestone" is 50 and it's coming up VERY fast LOL!) And I have never been an athlete! (I have always been a klutz!)

Off to fix a big lunch. According to WW I got NINE Activity Points for this jog!

Yeah it started!! I will PM my weight tommorrow since I forgot and I usually do it in the morning. I lost 75# before on WW so I am going to get back on the program again. My goal is to loose 15# by the end of the challenge. I am hoping to be more fit by the time we go to WDW in May. Thank you so much for doing this and I look forward to doing this with everyone. :goodvibes
 
Ok - home now, feels good since I know I can do so much better watching what I eat here.

I sent my weight in - YIKES, so glad I'm reining it in now.

DH is already saying -I'm going to make "blank" tomorrow - I hate when he does this because he doesn't and won't substitute ingredients so I can eat it when I'm watching what I eat. Sounds like I may have to make my own dinner for just me tomorrow. I'll have to look at the recipe. Its French Onion soup, so I'm not sure.

Brenda... I just sent you an email with my weight... yes a day late dollar short.

I am off to play with WiiFit... it shook it's head at me yesterday for ignoring for the past couple weeks. And the weight gain was not pretty but here we go for a new year!

Yeah that is something I would say - hmm and if we are confessing I was so starved last night after our flight. By the time we drove home Chik-fil-A was closed, so DH said we are going to taco bell. I didn't do too bad there, but then I went home and the Ferraro Rocher's DH got me for Christmas were sitting there. I did split with DD, but I ended up eating all the rest were there so they woudn't temp me starting today. So I did mostly good yesterday, but didn't at the end of the day.

Today is going good though. I've had plain oatmeal with blueberries. Hmm - gotta do lunch real quick or I'm going to run into problems.
 
Hi everyone!! Did ok today. DH & I took DS and walked around the mall (it was raining/sleeting here) for about 40 minutes--hard walking--so I was happy with that!

We went back to work from Christmas Break yesterday. . .I must admit I am a little tired today after that and the walk! Sad, huh??

Feeling ok, though, about the eating. Although, we were walking through Walmart and saw Loaded Baked Potato Skins Potato Chips. I felt good that we didn't get any. . .but I bet I looked silly practically running by them so they wouldn't "jump" into my cart!
