I'm in a catch-22. I'm ready for the weekend but my boss is out of town this week and I'm enjoying the quiet

I hope everyone is doing well. I had a follow-up with the surgeon yesterday and she says that I'm doing well so we are going to start weaning me off the medication and see what happens. If I can get off the medication with no problem, I don't have to see her again for 4 months
I asked about restrictions and exercise, etc. I said I feel like I'm walking on eggshells about exercising, because I don't want the pain to come back. Her response was "that is exactly what you should be doing right now"

(omg..this is deja vu. I swear I have typed that exact same thing before, LOL).
She specifically said no zumba, yoga, weights over the head, etc. What she would like me to do between now and our next appointment is just walk, bike, treadmill, etc. She said nothing but basic cardio for now, plus the exercises the PT gave me (one in particular she wants me to do every hour...for the rest of my life, LOL).
But so far, so good. The inflamation is down so it isn't compressing on the nerve anymore. Now to see what happens with the disk. But my gut is telling me that I will do something, move wrong, etc and it will irritate it again and we will start this whole process over
