weird question about bed linens

Hi, I'm new to the WDW side of things. My family has been to DLR 3 times in the last 3 years, and the last two we've stayed at the Grand Californian. I'm thinkinging our next trip will be to WDW ( DH and I have been before, never on property, years ago) and we will probably stay at one of the deluxe resorts. Anyway... my question is, do any of the hotels have white bed linens? From the photos I've found, they all look like the old hotel bed spreads. I know it's a small thing, but those things kind of gross me out. Thanks in advance!

While I can't speak for all resorts, as far I recall from any visits the sheets and pillow cases were always plain white. The top comforter is usually theme-printed. You can just peel that off the bed if you don't care for it. There is usually an extra blanket or 2 tucked in the closet as well.

Deluxe resorts that have been refurbished more recently may have white duvet covers - right now I'm thinking of the Beach Club specifically. You can see room photos on allears.net - can't guarantee they are all up to date, but I think many are.

I'm at Boardwalk right now and the beds have the white duvets.

Some deluxe resorts still have the theme print bedspreads and some have switched over to the duvet covers. I agree with the PP, check allearsnet for the most recent photos to determine which resorts has which. ;)

Thank you!! I must have been finding old pictures. I'm finding some updated info on the resort threads now. I just get paranoid about what I can't see on the heavily patterned bedspreads.

Not a strange question, in my opinion! We've stayed at every deluxe except for GF, and many have the white duvet covers, including BC, BWI, YC, WL, and CR. Last time we stayed at AKL and Poly, they still had the old style bedspreads, and I think GF still has those too. As for mods, I know POFQ was recently remodeled, but still has bedspreads. CBR has bedspreads. CSR has white duvets. I think POR has bedspreads.

Here's a few photos from our 2011 and 2012 stays:

Here is a pic of our room at the GF in January of this year, it still had printed bedspreads.

Here is our bed at the YC in March of this year, white duvet trimmed in Navy with a matching navy swag at the feet:

Here is a closeup (sorry its such a small view) of our bed at Kidani in April of this year, still has printed bed spread:

Here is a closeup of our bed at the BC in August of this year, a cream colored duvet with a decorative swag at the feet:

Hope that helps :cloud9:

Your pics are so much nicer than mine! LOL :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I am guessing you don't travel with two middle school aged boys who trash the room within the first 5 seconds of arrival.:laughing::laughing::laughing:

Oh my gosh I can't believe I forgot the Poly!!!! ((hangs head in shame))

Here was our room:

I'm so truly greatful for all the photos! :) It's definately near the top of my list for hotel criteria. I'm glad that there are quite a few resorts that have been updated. I don't know if it will be a deal breaker yet, but it is food for thought.

I totally can relate, I have weird opinions on things that most people probably would never notice or care about. That's why it's so great WDW has 24 different resorts! :thumbsup2 Something for everyone! :)

Too funny! And I was just going to say the same thing about your great photos! In fact, I DO travel with three boys, ages 13, 12 and 5! But here's the thing - last year, I started to enter first and snap a bunch of photos quickly. Last week, I suggested they check BC Marketplace for vinylmation before they went to the room - I got 3 minutes of photo time and 2 minutes to set up the Halloween surprise I brought along in my carry-on!

That's good thinking!!! Mine usually barrel through the door and immediately make themselves at home. ;)
