A lot of the golfers don't wear collared shirts.

This kind of surprises me. Wouldn't you wear a collared shirt if you were playing in the Masters?

:confused3

No. I'd wear a shirt I was comfortable in -- one that I was used to. No one is going to "dress up" to play a round of golf if they didn't already do that regularly. These golfers have routines which they are used to. They get up at a certain time. They eat a certain meal. They hit X number of balls at the driving range, etc. They have a routine. If they allow themselves to think about "The Masters" then all they're doing is adding more pressure and stress which typically will not help them. Keep it a routine, keep it just another day, and go out and play some golf...

A mock turtleneck is considered a "collared" shirt these days. They can't wear a t-shirt but if it has a bit more of a collar then a t-shirt it is ok. I think a lot of players had them on yesterday because they wore a windshirt or sweater in the morning and wanted something cooler as their round progressed.

Did anyone else think that Phil would have looked much better in a different shirt? I know it is picky, but I think he looked scraggly. Could be because I think Freddy is hot!

And, doesn't it seem like the whole daughter hug thing was a bit too staged at the end?

Random thoughts! It really was pretty exciting!

I about cried when Rocco hit the water the second time!

omg...I am not alone. Freddy.

I am also the only non-golfer I know who loves to watch it.

I just thought he looked really old... like he's not aging well :confused3

He def. has chunked out the last couple of years. I've always liked Phil, and usually root for him...but not with Freddy in the race! (That's probably what cursed him!)

I sure do miss Greg Norman, too!

Phil needs to stop greasing up his hair, it just accentuates his thinning hair. He needs to cut it too. It looks like he and Sergio are using the same barber :rotfl: . I wonder if Phil lost 40 pounds if it would improve his game. Tiger always looks so polished out there.

Anyone else feel sorry for Phil's kids having to spend the day at the golf tournament in frilly party clothes? Put a golf shirt and skort on the girls and they would look a 100 times cuter then they do in their party dresses (oh and cut that boy's hair!!!).

Is one of his kids a boy? You have got to be kidding!!!

I bet she put the dresses on the kids at the last minute. No way you could keep them clean all day!

Yes, the youngest is a boy but his hair is almost as long as his sister's hair.

Yep, he needs a haircut! My boys had curly hair, and I hated to cut it, but a boy shouldn't be made to look like a girl! And then dressing him up in sissy clothes!

Let them look like kids! They would be so cute! And the whole thing wouldn't look so staged.

Poor Rocco, I know he has a lot of back pain. Nice guy.

Freddy=Totally HOT! :faint: I love his grey hair. My friend named her son after Freddy Couples. I don't think he's name worthy though!

Phil looked rough yesterday. He did play 30+ holes.

Was Tiger's shirt hot pink or red? I couldn't tell.

I almost quit watching after Rocco! Did you see the interview early in the day with him, and his friends? Too cute!

I'm a sucker for grey hair!

The shirt looked like orange and hot pink to me. It looked great! I liked Vijay's blue shirt, also.

It was red but it had some color variations. Tiger wears only RED for the final round.

I thought the post was going to be about the "bird" singing on every hole. I love to hear cardinal's in the spring, but it was driving me crazy.

to the OP, I think once Tiger started wearing the mock turtleneck, everyone started. Comfort is a big thing for the players, and I personally like the look.

Anyone else out there think Phil looked just fine?? He has worked so hard to get where he is...we've all done the "a few pounds up, and few pounds down" thing. And I LOVE a little boy to have long hair w/cute curls...it's probably the only time in his life he can get away with it and be a little cutie-petutie!!

We live about 10 minutes from The National, and I kept muting my TV because I swear I could hear that same dang bird squalking outside my window! :headache: I'm not a big golf fan, but I watched yesterday's final round and kept saying what a fine looking man that Fred Couples is!

I love this time of the year when all the Masters' folks come to town--you get to meet so many interesting people. :) I was running errands early this morning, and all you saw were limos and out of town license plates headed for the airport.

I think Fred would have loved to have all those little kids hugging him. He always said he wished he had a bunch of little kids.

He has always been my favourite golfer. It was nice to see him do so well yesterday. If he could only be a better short putter, he would have easily won the Masters.

Really.... Everytime the masters is on all DH and I can say is thank goodness we do not live there anymore. I worked for a chain drycleaners in Augusta (silverstein's, I'm sure they are still going strong) and all the out of town customers for the Masters were big jerks. I however did not work at either branch that the golfers used. It was the spectators I dealt with. Traffic was always horrible during masters, which meant we never knew what time the laundry(or laundry and drycleaning when I worked at drop off locations) would be back in to the store.
