So at the very last minute my brother and father decided they are going to go on fishing excursion instead of going with the rest of us to Hollywood Studios. However, we have already booked their fastpasses. So we were wondering if we took their MagicBands could we just ride say Tower of Terror twice even though we did not scan the band to get into the park? I feel like it shouldn't be a problem, but I just wanted to make sure before trying it.

I hope I wasn't too confusing! Please help in any way you can!

Thank you very much for your quick reply! I wasn't sure if anyone had experience with this so I was kind of worried! But thanks again!

With the old cards this was an issue. Here's my example: After being at MVMCP late at night, the family wanted to sleep in. I took the cards of my wife and 2 kids and went to HS to get everyone fast passes for Toy Story Mania b/c they would be gone by the time we got there. The only card that worked to get a FP was mine. I asked a CM why and they asked where my family was. I told them at the hotel still. They said in order for it to work they guest needs to have entered the park. Now Magic Bands may work different but I don't think anyone can say that with confidence. Also note that when a magic band is scanned for FP+ it does indicate the guests name that a CM can view.

Actually it's been done by quite a few people and been reported on this board, so I think it can, in fact, be said with confidence. The CMs don't care who's name comes up. Really. Now, will they close that loophole sometime in the future? Probably. But since we all know how good Disney is with finessing IT issues, I don't think it is imminent.

I never cared whose name came up when I worked in Attractions! As long as it was a valid FP then I didn't worry if some little girl popped up with a name like John! lol It makes me feel better that it's been done before. Although I will never understand why they would want to go fishing when they could be at Disney!

I find it interesting that they don't check to see if the band has been used for entry into the park. They could easily do that.

This was a godsend for us last year. I wanted to meet Anna and Elsa, plus Rapunzel, and rather than take up extra FP+ for my husband and have two return times, we had one FP+ for A&E on one band, one for Cinderella and Rapunzel on the other band, and I used both. We had a 20 minute over lap, so I went to the first one, finished that and went straight through to the other one on the other band. Meant I was done with all four in 30 minutes, and didn't keep my DH waiting too long :)

To go along with this question, my dh and ds like roller-coasters but I don't. Would my son be able to take my magic band and ride twice?

Yes. Answers to FP FAQs like yours can be found in the green link in my signature.

Absolutely, you can get an extra ride on ToT. Only problem, if you're staying on-site, would be when your brother and father get back to the room to gut the fish they caught, they might not be able to get into the room if they don't have a Magicband. I suppose they could always gut the fish at the pool while they waited for you to get back from HS, but that would be something deserving of being frowned upon.

I thought Disney fishing was catch and release only? But you're right about the room access when they get back.

I did this on our recent trip. The morning was spent at DHS with the evening planned at the MK. I stopped in the MK right after getting done with DHS and got a FP for myself and our kids for SM later in the afternoon.

My family of 4 will book 4 fastpasses for Tower of Terror, my husband and son don't like the ride, so me and my other son will go ride it again. Why would that be frowned upon?

It isn't. I think a previous poster was responding to the original poster's question.
